  1. I totally agree I should be able to eat players in PVE geared for breakfast but yesterday pvp was on JC server was just terrible.
  2. I think neither sorcerer or commando are OP at present. There needs to be some work done to resolve. In fact I think if they don't want to change the current mechanic that's fine. But they should add a damage reduction aspect that scales up when you get a full resolve bar. The longer your resolve bar stay solid the more damage you mitigate avoid or absorb. This might be the solution to the CC issue and death that always occurs when players are focused. I know I get focused a lot on my healer. In fact my Commando healer is probably in the top 10 focused players in pvp for the server. I was really sad to see there was no real changes to either the heals commandos put out or damage improvement after the patch. The really sad part my commando is fully geared and optimized and for PVP and im still in the same healing bracket at the end of a match (700k to 900k) if not focused or forced to play the roll of a tank in hutball. My damage averages around 150k to 300k per match regardless and my average large heal is between 8 and 9k. Nothing really changed with the last patch because these are all the same stats I had before 2.6. Maybe it was the DPS mando's that got the love cause the healers got squat.

  4. I think its bolster. That the cause of the OP classes. Remove it and let those in gear survive.
  5. So I have been trying to get my 67 PVP gear all maxed out and I've gotten it all. But when I start looking at the in game stats I'm lost. Melee damage primary damage out of war zone 1265-1532 in warzone 1420-1766 bonus damage 703.0 then 730.3 Acc 96.98% Crit 28.39% Surge 73.09% Force Damage primary damage out of warzone 1128.7 in warzone 1254.3 bonus damage 811.3 then 904.1 Acc 106.98% Crit 27.88% Surge 73.09% 60% damage boost 37.5 damage reduction 22.5 healing boost Now I know my accuracy is too high and I am replacing enhancement with power and surge and I know my crit rating is probably high and ill replace that as well when I can. But this whole bolster thing is literally screwing everyone over. I'm fully geared (not Optimized) and I'm watching players in PVE gear with 36k to 44k health just kill everyone. This is not right and if something isn't done about it what's the point of playing over and over when you know before it starts you have no chance of winning. Now I listed those numbers for a specific reason. If you look at the damage boost before entering and than after getting in, where's the actual boost. I get on the high end of my primary dps an extra 234 pts of damage? Does that seem to you like 60% If I look at bonus damage does 27.3 extra pts of damage look like 60%? In fact if I look at the difference between damage boost and damage reduction (22.5%) do those numbers look correct. I have a great Idea. Share your combat engine's equations. I know several math professors that I can get to explain it to me.
  6. what ever the reason and what ever the response its broke. Something needs to be done about the smashing pugs because they are killing the general game play. It is not fun nor is it enjoyable to fight against them. If BW wants to make it a gear based game (and don't say skill is part of it because all you do is mash buttons on a keyboard) then make the gear immediately accessible to everyone. You can not have an even match based on skill when all the players are geared inappropriately.

  9. Im not sure about pre-season 1 im still stuck on interlude but that not really being the nature of this thread so ill stay on topic. Space PVP 12 v 12 and im really curious how that is going to work considering the nature of space game today. The mechanics on this one will have a lot of players scratching their heads. I see a lot of new crafting coming along for cybertechs hopefully.......
  10. The game design does not truly support world pvp. Because the game is instanced you are virtually stuck with warzones or pvp mini games. It's not the fault of BW or the community for that matter its the façade of our current genre culture. This having been said does not make it bad or evil it simply is the nature of the beast. Now the most disappointing aspect of the newest patch was the addition of new gear levels. I like many other players just simply can not compete on the level of the die-hard pvp'rs. This doesn't necessarily make me or other bad or good but it does mean that you have to die a lot to get gear. Bolster does not truly work you can claim it does but in reality if it did than expertise would not have been necessary. since expertise is in bolster only adjust primary stats so you have the same health on average as other players; so it is claimed but ive never seen any hard evidence or proof. At any rate the bolster and expertise is a totally different issue that I don't particularly want to address. I think we all pvp for the sake of pvp. Stop adding new gear levels let us get geared so we can actually enjoy the strategy of pvp and not be beaten down by the who has the best gear and who doesn't. I am happy that they finally hard capped expertise. That was probably the smartest thing they could do.
  11. perhaps there is a way to give a penalty to groups with more than 2 healers or boost the bolster for groups with less than 3. I am not totally convinced that x + x = win but I do know that healers with the ability to heal and scoot away at 75% movement speed increase is akin to a warp speed fly by heal. It is becoming a healer pvp dominant scenario. I guess what I am saying is sometimes its ok others times its not and I don't know if that means its broke and should be fixed.
  12. 50 to 55 seems to lack the class story line hence it seems faster and easier. Its a shame though It would have been nice have seen something other then INTERLUDE on the character log in screen. I think this was just a means for them to inject more dollars into the game becuase clearly they did not continue the class sagas. But I suppose what can you expect for 9 bucks and change.
  13. Ive been waiting for the rats to give out. I have crashed at least 15 times today prior to the server exploding. I see a chain reactor meltdown and I hope the droids made it to the escape pod.......
  14. What is there to be confused about? This is a normal business practice. Just like with museums when they finally open the doors and take their first few steps the team that birthed the monster moves on. This is normal and should not be regarded as anything sinister. Development teams are not project visionaries, In fact it would be far better for the general public to have different people making choices and decisions about the current game. They can be more objective and open minded about change. If we kept all the orginal developers and VP's it would be a constant struggle with them regarding vision and reality. THIS IS A GOOD THING....Not to sound mean or callius to those who have moved on but for the community and the game at large this transition is a good step.
