DJunior
Wouldn't you rather listen to your chemistry teacher read it for you? Me neither. Your chemistry teacher has a stupid voice. Yeah she ain't too pretty neither.
Wraiven
Do we have to listen to the same chatter everytime we do a daily quest ? My space-bar is becoming worn out ! Try playing STO.
GalaxyDude
Maybe you are all playing the wrong game. I understand it's not everyone's taste but it's how it's designed and it's known for years. Quoted for truth.
Gokkus
Complaining about story in a story driven MMO...unbelievable. If you dont even think this game is worth pressing space bar a few times than by all means leave. I have 8 alts and I have not for a second felt this was a problem or even an inconvenience. Jmannseelo
I love the story. I love the spoken dialogue, and I wouldn't change a thing. Yeah, I spacebar my way through the flashpoints when I do them for the umpteenth time, but the tradeoff for regular questing is more than worth it. I will never understand the "gotta rush to level cap" mentality. For me leveling is often the most fun part of the game, and the spoken dialogue in TOR makes it a very special game indeed....a real RPG instead of a second-rate wannabe. More dialogue in the future please, not less. Edited March 18, 2012 by Jmannseelo

face_hindu
that. Frankly, playing KOTOR should be a requirement to get into TOR. Again: anyone remember KOTOR, when your decisions had an effect on the story and your gameplay experience? That was cool. I hope someone makes an MMO like that someday. Zjabin
Maybe people wouldn't spacebar all those oh so wonderful and meaningful VOs if the accompanying animations were anything better than either awkward or non-existant.
Ordric
a fully voiced mmo ... wow, something never seen before (in a mmo) couldn't wait .... loved it ... made an alt ... ok this quests again, on the same planet ... here we go again.... and I became captain spacebar nice try, seriously. it was something new and enjoyable the first time. but for your alts ... meh class-stories should be the only quests with voiceover and I would wish we had more planets to go to for leveling ... the same damn planet and the same damn story-line every time ... it's really boring
DieAlteHexe
If you think the spacebar hasn't had this much activity...ever...you didn't play WoW what with all their flippin' jumpers. WAAAAAAY more usage on the spacebar over there.
Rzacron
I played KotOR more than most people on the Planet, its my favorite game... But its the Story and Character progression that was fun, its an SPRPG, thats what I'm there for. But an MMO? I sleep grind to cap, then PVP, RP "My own Story", and socialise, gear up my toons, have fun, MMO's are about endgame. I love my level 50, and I happily log in every day and do my thing, but, leveling in this game was an horrendous space-bar-smashing-nightmare, and I'll never ever level an alt. (and this is coming from a KotOR fanboy) Edited March 18, 2012 by Rzacron
DJunior
that. Frankly, playing KOTOR should be a requirement to get into TOR. Played 'em, loved 'em. They surpass this game easily. Mass Effect surpasses it too. KoTOR 3 should have happened, not this. I've noticed that many of the people that love this game do so because of the single-player elements and experiences. I think that's great, and I'm happy they're happy. So let me ask this question, "How do ya feel about paying $15/mo. for a single-player game?" Am I exaggerating? Sure, but still I think the question is relevant. Edited March 18, 2012 by DJunior
Korghal
I agree, i really love Mass Effect and listen to every bit of convo there. But i have to say that in SWTOR i just cant stay hooked, the convos are sooo boring.
Thaliff
I spacebar the dailies that I've done countless times, and zone/bonus quests that I'm on my 2nd/3rd/4th run through of. I don't skip class cut scenes tho. Not really sure why you or anyone else is complaining. Either spacebar or select auto skip in preferences... One way or another, I pay $15/mo if its fun for me to do what game provides, stop paying if i get bored, come back after big updates etc... how do you feel when you pay for DLCs? Don't see that much diff - and why do you care how people play as long as they pay server maint/updates that affect us all? Back on topic - wtb 'auto-spacebar' toggle for HMs/alts - yeah its getting boring after xth run but so what, first run through (or a couple) it serves its purpose and I guess most people don't have infinite altitis like me. If someone's quitting cause he has to press 1-spacebar-1-spacebar combo for getting quests well thats ADHD I can't fathom.
DarthSabreth
sounds like this isnt the game for you. i for one enjoy the story lines / Voice acting. its the main selling point of this game. its the same example of complaining that a can of tuna has tuna in it. its the main selling point of the item the tuna.
