  1. Whatever the idea was it is utterly stupid how it was implemented. The stuff that you'll outlevel and throw away in a day takes 2 weeks to farm for? Seriously.... if they let us somehow continuously upgrade it or so it would make 'some' sense but as it is its just a waste of space and development time.

  3. Not really, most you can get is negative response. Some people just turn off general due to amount of trash in it - if im not looking for something, I just turn on guild chat and leave it that way. Does not mean I won't jump into a hm or 2 if I'm not doing anything useful - just watching all the epeen contests and nonsense in general doesnt sound appealing. However I agree with some of the above posters, non-HM FPs are a waste if you don't just jump in with friends/guildies and no downtime. Its nice first time for the sake of first time but otherwise, I'd prob rather end up grinding mobs than sit and wait for FP group to form. It's the same in every game really.
  4. Well I have to admit the new op/fps pushed melee dps into much more work than ranged in some occasions, zorn&toth being one, robot boss in new fp being the other. Keeping melee alive during 1st boss fight is making it way harder than with full ranged. It is doable but I think that aoe needs to be nerfed, if the point is to hurt tanks then boost the damage on them or something, but the way it is now is way too much against melees. However... 2nd fight everyone is getting knocked pretty much into the shields if people are standing like they should, sure there is slight downtime when trash is dead and you cant just shoot the bosses until mortar is over but its not critical, and e.g. mara 15% buff to raid definitely makes 3rd easier overall etc. Old ops, short of the fact you want some ranged on a aoe-ranged boss in karaga, isn't that problematic. Basically as long as melee is paying attention and knows the fights its far from liability. They have just gone too far in new ones. As for 12k hp... how many bosses have random attacks that can hit said ranged? What you're saying is 'nerf them into being one-hit', how exactly is that gonna help anyone? There is unavoidable damage, if you do not see it it shows just your own ignorance. Also its nice and cool that i can move out of aoes but guess what, all melee attacks are 'insta', most ranged attacks are interrupted by movement. So its not like mercs/snipers do not lose most of their dps with random aoe phases/running out of 'bad' just as much etc. Parts of the new content do need better rebalancing, but enough of qqing for nerfs of other classes. Why does making other's lives miserable make people feel better I'll never understand. EDIT: another thing you could've thought of, instead of crying for nerfs, is simply boosting/giving melee ACs innate AOE resistances. That would make 360 degree attacks easier to handle, while still forcing ranged to reposition.
  5. Well that is legacy name, the benefits/unlocks can be cross server, as long as you have ch1 or whichever finished on one toon on other server, regardless of different name you might have to chose.
  6. Oh so it wasnt just me... Failed like 4 times on an alt before i gave up, thought i was having latency issues or some nonsense. If they wanted to force multiple people they should've put some interesting puzzle or something, like +10 one, not 'press 2 buttons at the same time' thing but oh well, whatever.
  7. Cause they're not on the receiving end, therefore collecting tears and trolling, yeah. Guess its fun for the first time but gets old fast. The whole issue seems more like a bug/side effect to me than BW intention. Same as AOE flagging that was changed earlier. As for people qqing about qqers and asking for 'good ole days', im gonna say one thing - PVP is pointless without risk vs reward and actual consequences. There are no consequences here, so i have a hard time taking pvpers seriously. You can kill the same guy 1000 times and all you did was wasted your time, the biggest turn off in pvp logic here to me.
  8. Kinda useful to have some offtank for when soa mindtraps main tank, or for possible o**** moments, but then again if its a pug its always a gamble. Definitely not necesary, extra dps can help more if you take undergeared people more than having an offtank.
  9. This would explain it except... when you DO bring agent in the group it drops warrior or something. It's almost as if the loot tables are reversed to what they should be.
  10. 2 hours for findiing a group for daily heroics? Now that sounds excessive, most of the time I catch a lfm before I finish solo ones, if I don't catch up a guildy or 2 to do with. Now as far as leveling goes, I never run them, you don't need ALL mods up to date all the time, solo content is easy. Why are you implying you need that many comms for leveling I have no idea. Just run through normal quests, bonus series or a space mission or 2 if you're getting underlevel, and its all fine. Also you do NOT need 4 people for 4 man heroics, if you have one healing capable class you can two man all of them. Don't be exclusive on group composition, run with less than 4 people if you have to, instead of waiting. I won't wait for half an hour for a healer if I know I can pop out healer pet or get another dps and nuke through the content with no issues.
  11. Ran quite a bunch on both tanksin and a mara (not geared up yet), no issues with enrages whatsoever, except one time we ran with 2 healers lol. I don't know where you found 50% buff, but there's no way there is 50% buff to either hp or damage of bosses, it all felt the same as it did before. Learn your rotation better, check the stats you have - balancing stats, not just stacking just 1 etc, double check the spec. And/or if its not you, check your teammates. Unless you have high end gear, you can't afford to carry dead weight in 4 people's group. On a side note, I had a feeling some trash got either removed or moved in such a way its easier to avoid now, not sure if intentional.
  12. It happens in heroic zones all over the place from time to time too. It is griefing as it is intentionally disrupting other's gameplay (on pve servers at least). However, as long as it does not involve using any sort of exploits and bugs, I do not see it being against TOS. Pretty much, its a MMO, stay on your toes and adapt to the situation. Sucks being on the receiving end when you can't just camp the crap out of zone and kill the intruders repeatedly tho (which you can't unless they're pvp flagged) so it is bigger issue on PVE servers than it might sound at first.
  13. There is a reason classes are different. Some will let you skip more. Some will change the tactics of encounters. No, not every group composition should play the same and have the same abilities. If there is one problem its the fact boss fights are the same regardless of composition, not 'qq sins/ops have stealth give everyone stealth qq'.
  14. I don't quite get the argument here... First of all, you can beat about any hm except d7 and maybe kaon within an hour. Now if you don't know the instance or don't have properly geared group/tactics it can take longer but seriously, run fast ones if you don't have time, run longer ones if you do. There is nothing wrong with the fact not every FP can be done in 15 minutes. Now claim that 99% can't dedicate an hour to do two fps that might demand it and are gonna unsub due to that... sorry but I call bs.
  15. It's not game breaking cause where TOP performance is needed you can't use them (or dont want to use them). OPs, HMs (except for shortmanning but then its not that much of an issue checking gear when you enter fp), that kind of stuff. If your comp is missing some stats on doing solo quest and you die due to that, I dunno what to say lol.
  16. heh lvl5 are on the edge of undoable without lvl6 upgrades, and to me those lvls go too fast to justify spending money on them. I'd rather get similar or higher money from belsavis dailies underlevel and coms that are actually useful than spend money on equipment for space missions that give useless gear as coms. But its nice to have an option for people that like that type of space shooters.

  18. Tons of drops for classes not in HM FP runs yesterday, I almost started to think the loot fix was op only... but now i guess it simply doesnt work at all lol
  19. If it EXACT 4 hours timer then its botting heaven, which definitely should NOT be allowed (same goldseller bots etc). If its some random factor around, e.g. 3.5 to 4.5 hours, so it cant be exactly coded into bots, its just a matter of being persistant and its fine as it is imo. Its fluff, you want it, invest time on it - I never cared enough to camp stuff like that.
  20. If you had needed to progress through hm of previous tier that would mean it expected full rakata, and it drops rakata so it definitely should not be the case. Neither it is the case as it stands, it needs similar gear (columi) as HM KP/EV, which is fine. The difficulty level is same as far as gearchecks go from what I've seen, the level of coordination is higher, which is fine, and quite refreshing as only thing in old content that needed coordination is SOA really - and bugged to high hell which doesnt seem to be the case here. IMO the raid is fine as it is right now.

We did not get to clear them but had issues with coordination/tactics not enrage timers, at least first 2 bosses dont seem to have that tight timers, might be later on tho but so far it seems pretty fine to me. It takes time and figuring things out. As said above, there is no excuse not to use MOX its working fine, lack of combat logs/ability to judge dps is gone. As for theorycrafting...There's still sithwarrior.com with decent info, as well as some other resources all over., and why don't you do your own, instead of wanting to get it done by others and served on a platter anyways? DPS check is easily done on ship dummies for starters, etc etc.
  22. Yeah performance def dropped for me too, but the whole event thing on fleet is on the edge of being unbearable amount of lag. Seems whatever i end up doing either on fleet or fps/ops there is way worse than it used to be. I dunno why it influences instances on fleet at all but thats my experience. Like there is no higher lag on FE but had issues with lag in all fleet fps.... Or is it simply memory leak on fleet that stays even when you enter instances, I dont know.

This was pretty much what i did on a mara, kinda rushed through, solo'd a bunch of heroic 2s but skipped some bonus series/pvp/all flashpoints/did maybe 4-5 space missions from 20 to 30ish but stopped at that point. I did hoth bonus series tho so i hit 50 by doing class+planet quests on corelia only, ignoring side quests completely. Oh and i did belsavis dailies at 48 cause I wanted purple hilts to wait for me at 50 so i can hop right into hms with gtn stuff+that, that did give me like a full lvl.
  24. umm I did it post 1.2, maybe your checkbox for allow same class got reset somehow after the patch, or maybe it got moved. Some settings arent where they used to be. But its def working.
  25. Get a vaccine and mind your own business like I did the whole day, qqing here wont help, and 2k is nothing anyway. Zombie thing is silly but meh. If there's one thing that annoys me is lagging when I have to run past 120 people in the same spot blowing up.
