  1. I have found the actual % chance of learning a schem from an RE to be much lower than the rate that the tooltip shows. Yes, small fail.
  2. So if you've been subbed one month and have one level 50, you hold more value than someone who has been subbed since release? Not in my opinion. Apparently to Bioware that is the case though. Also, the colored text. Please, enough everyone! Call Mom and Dad if you need attention.
  3. I have two lvl 40+, two lvl 30+ toons. I have been subbed since release. I am currently considering, and likely will be, resubbing but I find this a little discouraging. A free month is a free month, and I know a business can't just hand out freebies like candy. Nevertheless, this promotion seemed like it was poorly thought out. I think that those who have been subbed since release ought to be more worthy than a player who has been subbed one month and has one level 50s. Furthermore, my 4 toons amount to about two level 50 as it is anyway. This situation makes me debate resubbing just a little bit more. There is a good chance I will resub, but there is also a very fair chance that I won't, and this didn't help. And I am happy with 1.2.
  4. Never paid for server transfers on Rift, and you are allowed to transfer as often as once a week. If they make us pay for transfers after a smaller market game does not, it'll be a real shame. It honestly surprises me that, as a customer, you do not expect more, but hey, it's your money.

    PvP can be tough!

I started PVP in Rift and I generally got the !*#? kicked out of me every time. These are the main things that helped me improve. Keybinds: Set up keybinds that allow you to be mobile. For me, I mapped my Q,E,R buttons and made A,D strafing buttons. Turning I only do with the mouse. This helped me reach those buttons quickly while on the move. Macros truly help mobility, especially for melee, and I think they ought to be in this game, but there are many differing opinions on this. A gaming mouse would allow macros, but I don't have one (nor the keyboard), and frankly, I hold my own just fine without them. Know your class and its advantages/disadvantages: If you are range, stay the hell back and let melee do their job. Knowing my classes, as well as learning the mechanics of the game (ie., capture the flag, domination, etc.), made a huge difference for me. Rotations: Honestly, I don't use rotations in PVP nearly the same as in PVE, but learning them, and doing a little min-maxing really helped me learn what was worth using, and what to use first. Roll a Bounty Hunter: Instant gratification. I topped leader boards every time with my merc starting with the very first WZ. So unfair. The epitome of running around and button-mashing random high damage skills. BH is the PVP spec for the completely inexperienced PVP'er, in my opinion. I actually stopped PVP'ing with him because I was starting to feel guilty.
  6. Preach brotha!! Please Bioware! Transfers and Merges are a must. Implementing some form of devices that encourage grouping would be great too. I have fairly limited mmo experience, but I thought Rift did a nice job of this.
  7. God bless Noam! Thank you for giving tribute to the United States greatest American (IMO)with your own name.
  8. i like my immortal/jugg. it's tricky to put up big numbers true, but i still do fair enough. honestly, i use the spec as more of a supprt class, in a sense. sure i do bigger damage with my merc, but i enjoy the jugg more because i feel like i actually make a bigger difference in the outcome of the game itself by using him to his advantages. the only thing i dont like about it is that you never get noticed for that stuff, and you never get mvp votes, despite being a difference maker.
  9. ^^Lol, so true!! Nevertheless, is that true? Was that actually how it happened with Warhammer? If so, kinda sad that they'd be willing to repeat that strategy.
  10. Do you read the Q & A's? They do answer questions with "We are thinking on it" answers. If they're going to answer the easy questons that way, then they might as well answer the tough ones that way too. You're just playing developer's advocate. You're no bigger than anyone else who is greatly disappointed in this weeks Q & A. You seriously had the immaturity to try to play the 'adult' card on everyone? In a video game forum? You levelled an insult at people for expressing their thoughts on the Q & A, yet nobody attacked you. If we all need to grow up, and maybe we do, then include yourself in that list to.
  11. Horrible Q & A. Meaningless questions. This is what amazed me the most about this weeks Q & A. In previous weeks, there were many questions that were answered so vaguely that I was surprised that they would actually pick questions that couldn't be answered more fully. This week they actually gave us some "I dunnos." Why would you pick questions, such as the very last one, if you can't even minimally answer them? Example: joetacticSW: Can we have a ‘Loop music’ feature or some other way to make our experience less quiet? Damion: Interesting idea. Let me give it some thought! WTH is that, and who cares about that question? Maybe the one person who asked it? I'm not saying it's a bad question. I'm saying that the majority of us don't care about it, and it's not a pressing issue. Btw, the part at the beginning where you tell us what type of questons to ask next week, and tell us that you're not attempting to "shy away from answers" was just priceless. I personally will be shying away from posting the questions that you want me to ask. I truly believe that we all serve the game best by asking the questions that matter to us, not the ones the devs expect us to ask. It's just disrespectful to your customers to ask us to put our issues on hold because you want us to give you some more easy ones to say "I dunno" to.
  12. can't believe this issue exists, and am even more amazed that it hasn't been fixed yet. seems rather simple, but sometimes i forget who we're dealing with.
  13. One of the finest pieces of thought-out writing I've seen in these forums. Nice reply. I am in agreeance with all that you said. Bioware should try hire you as a consultant, but I doubt they would listen, and your advanced brain might cause too many "Huuuhh!?" reactions. All the best!
