Rein_Quest
I was just curious are the Mandalorian's a race or just a human culture? I was sorta hoping it would have been a race to pick when I was making a Bounty Hunter.
ChinMaki
The Mandalorians—known in Mando'a as the Mando'ade, or "Children of Mandalore"—were a nomadic group of clan-based people consisting of members from multiple species and multiple genders, all bound by a common culture Sorta like a cult/religion. InspeckdaDeck
Thier kinda like the sith in that it started with one race and others adopted thier ideals until the mandalorians were a mixture of races. I think the original ones were called tong or vong or something.

Revan-the-knight
I was just curious are the Mandalorian's a race or just a human culture? I was sorta hoping it would have been a race to pick when I was making a Bounty Hunter. The Mandalorians Started as the Grey Skinned Taung species, sort of like Predators but with a more human appearance, their leader, Mandalore, was a warlord and conquered planets, when he conquered a world the Taung could call home after they were driven off from their own, he was dubbed Mandalore the First, and the Ancient Tradition to call the Mandalorian Leader Mandalore begun
Rein_Quest
Ah excellent, I never knew this. I really need to read more of the books. Thanks everyone =D
Darkalleycat
They adopt people, and their family structure seems to be focused around that. Honestly the Legacy family tree thing sounds like it will work a lot like how the Mando'ade view family. And since my Twilek inquisitor has become a Mandalorian in outlook, that is how I am going to rationalize it.
VoxTheHero
Ah excellent, I never knew this. I really need to read more of the books. Thanks everyone =D If you wanna see more of the Taung Mandalorians, read the KOTOR comics. Revan kicks the *** out of Mandalore the Ultimate. In the Tales of the Jedi comics, Mandalore the Ultimate's predecessor, Mandalore the Indomitable was beaten by Ulic Qel-Droma in a rather awesome fight scene and made his servant. Aaryan-Blitz
I LOVE MANDALORIANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They started out as the the Taung who were a species of nomads who had grey skin with an almost tentacle like hair-thing. THEY WERE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS OF CORUSCANT. They were about 2 m tall and 95 kilos. they were warriors from youth because they thought battle honored their god. They were raided by humans under Zhell and were winning until a Huge volcano erupted and devastated both sides. the Taung began calling themselves "Warriors of the Shadow", or Dha Werda Verda in their native tongue. However the humans used this to their advantage and eventually drove the Taung off the planet to Roon in the Outer Rim. When "Mandalore the First" came, they led conquest to Mandalore. here, they renamed their species the Mandalorians. It wasn't until Mandalore the Indomitable did humans and other species were welcomed into the Mandalorian ideals. Everyone knows of the Mandalorian Wars where Mandalore the Ultimate led his forces against the Republic (this was right before KOTOR). The Mandalorians would have won had it not been for the Jedi (Revan to be exact). I could go on for hours but let me post some links. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Taung http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalorian http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalore http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalore http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mando'a http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mandalore http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Mandalorians Good luck. Aaryan-Blitz
The Taung > Today's Mandos. Just my opinion. Oh no doubt. the Mandalorians of "today" would chant "Taung sa rang broka Mando'ade ka'rta!" which means "The ash of the Taung beats strong within the Mandalorians' heart!" which shows they believed their roots were important.
