  1. No what he is okay with you saying it sounds good, he's not okay with you saying it actually tastes horrible if you haven't actually eaten it.
  2. OK cool this actually makes me feel a lot better. So basically just head over to alderaan and start digging. Anyone have an idea how long it usually takes?
  3. I think it was that all of us went to go speak to the quest giver at the same time. But that kind of sucks. I chose the dark side option and they chose the light so now I'm stuck with a piece of gear that I have no use for socially after completing a long quest that was a drag. Could the quest be redone? Could a ticket be made requesting to rest everything? Or I'm I stuck here...I really wanted that armor piece and I get shafted.
  4. So I just completed the seeker droid quest and uprooting the last seed with some players on my server. I had the entire intention of only doing the quest to receive the dread seed armor piece as a reward and mentioned this a couple of times....long story short someone chooses light side and wins the roll I return to the quest giver and I don't get my dread seed armor piece....I wanted to know can the quest be repeated to try and get the dread seed chest piece or was I screwed after doing all that...I'm not too familiar with all this endgame stuff I play mostly for the RP.
  5. I seriously don't understand this, I mean I am running this game on a very low end performance laptop compared to other gamers and I can run this game fine on medium to low settings. The only way I get FPS issues(i.e getting a constant average of 5-15 fps) is when I start messing into medium-high settings. How is it that my piece of crap computer can play the game fine but these ULTRA amazing rigs have problems?
  6. Pretty much this, think of them as the gun slinging non force using equivalent of the Jedi or Sith orders.
  7. No idea where to post this but me and a friend got into discussion over something rather odd and I guess you can say pointless. Anyway here is the question...to those that know both series. Who would win in an all out fight between... Revan and The Fourth Hokage Now I know these two series are completely different but humor me, if all rules apply such as Revan has access to all his force powers and a lightsaber and Minato has access to all his techniques who would win? Now I did not choose Revan out of fanboiism since I am in no way a Revan fanboy but rather because he seemed like a safe choice. In that I mean he is without a doubt a powerful force user but not anywhere the most powerful. In other words the guy is good at what he does and basically the same goes for Minato A.K.A the Fourth Hokage. Considered one of the most gifted and powerful ninja/shinobi to have lived but arguably not the strongest ever. If placed in an arena, very large since Kages tend to use LARGE battlefields when they fight with all the possible elements(earth/fire/water/etc.) who would win? Ill start it off, honestly I have no idea -_- my friend did make a fine argument as to how Minato lacks many offensive attacks and has been mostly seen as a great defender. The only attack we have seen him produce was the Rasengan and his summons. Such as being able to summon Gamabunta. Could the Rasengan possibly deflect a lightsaber? O_o Pointless discussion begin!
  8. Seriously? You dont have to invite anyone. Giving your friend tha 7 day trial is rewarding enough... I have friends at work who want to play this game but "can't afford to" when I know they can, them just like me have never played MMO's up until now. I'm guessing that this is because they don't want to shelve out 50 bucks for a game they might not like but with this 7 day trial who knows. They might enjoy it and decide to continue on playing and that is a win for me because I get to play this MMO with some friends who I wanted to be playing with in the first place. If giving free game time for every person you might invite is an incentive I guess that would be sort of going in the wrong direction. Bioware and EA is a company, they need to make revenue and this game aint free. At best I would say they could give us a medal sort of like the founder medal that shows we invited a certain amount of people into the game, perhaps a color crystal or special robe/armor.
  9. Understandable maybe you should try returning the game and downloading the digital copy if it's still available. Do you know your computer specs?
  10. If you work in tech support you must know that it is something wrong on your end not Biowares. The people posting problems on these forums are the minority not the majority and if it were the case that EVERYONE was having issues then EA would have issued a recall of some kind. I don't own a pc and I am playing this game on low end HP DV7 laptop with a medium low AMD mobile graphics card on the actual board so my laptop is pretty weak compared to most desktops. I am not tech savy AT ALL and I have yet to find a single technical issue that has been posted in these forums. I bought the game, I installed the game, singed in and created my character and have played and enjoyed the game ever since and all from a low/medium end laptop. None of my friends from work have had any issues running this game either, one even built a pretty low end pc to play it. He is using a GT520 nvidia card and supposedly this is the card causing many issues yet he plays the game fine. So perhaps its not the game that is messed up and if it is then take it to where you bought it and get them exchanged...
  11. All civilizations eventually hit plateaus. Technology can only go so far, in fact Star Wars has seemed to make a pretty good chart as to how things would actually turn out in the future. I.E things that require a lot of natural resources such as Cortosis, Bacta, personal shield generators, and personal cloaks have diminished as time has gone by. By the time of the Clone Wars many of these materials were rare to come and manufacture which made ownership a rare commodity. For example, during the KOTOR era things such as cortosis blades were fairly common and a nuisance to the Jedi Order for criminals who could easily get their hands on one. Bacta was a major export from Maanan and heavily used for MANY years but inflation due to lack of supply caused it to become a mostly a government/military resource. Things such as faster than light speed travel has already been achieved, in fact it had been done around 25,000 years before the movies. This accomplishment alone must have been difficult and as shown it was an ability only available to the largest ships with reactors capable of producing the energy required to send it skipping through space. By the time of the KOTOR series such engines had been miniaturized to allow ships such as large cargo freights and on a rare occasion light freighters(such as the ebon hawk) to travel at their leisure and having such a ship usually meant you were rich or well connected. Now lets skip another couple of hundred years. Technology pretty has pretty much hit a peak thousands of years before the movies why or how could it realistically advance? The galaxy as a whole could only move up so much and when possible it was noted and achieved. Trade routes were made more easily navigated(this is a galaxy, imagine mapping a galaxy wide high way...you just don't plot point A and B and take off. The EU has made mention of this, stops are made and routes replotted constantly to make the trip safer and sometimes downright manageable.) And by this time hyperdrives have been condensed so much that they fit within a small fighter, Luke for example used his X-Wing to travel to Dagobah from Hoth...can you imagine the power output or calculations for less power input required for such a jump to work? It's insanity...now if you had told some scientist from the TOR period to fit a hyperdrive into your small mobile fighter he would have looked at you stupid.
  12. Seeing as how I am new to MMO's what is the problem here? I get the basic concept of instance(such as an area where when one enters the rest of the MMO community is cut out, even when they enter a new zone is created for them) but how is this entire MMO instanced? Do you mean the entire story line? Also why is the game being fully "instanced" a bad thing? In no way trying to flame, I am new to this whole MMO thing so I would like to know.
  13. Very hard decision, I don't understand why one would choose to meet a species such as the Miraluka or Zabrak however, seeing as how one is basically a human with a blindfold and the other is a human with horns but I guess to each their own. I guess learning their culture counts. As for myself I will go with the two species that would probably teach me the most in the broadest sense of the term. Number 2 would be Yoda's Species If advance technologically then the things they could teach would be just as good as any race, however I would be more interested in what they could teach me in terms of history. From what was shown their members live centuries and seem to be naturally good, just look at Yoda and Yaddle but they were Jedi... AND number 1 would be The Whills Read their entry, nuff said lol. I mean why settle for any other species when I can meet those two.
  14. Lucas stated that to achieve balance the force needed to revert back to its natural state. He goes on to say that this state is actually pure lightside and that the darkside is a corruption and infestation that should not exist at all, if I understood correctly the darkside stems off from users who use their negative emotions and corruption to stain it and make it become "dark". Most people dont have the ability to do this so a regular person or even a regular force user is fine with using the force to cause harm so in the end it all works out, the problem comes from a mass of people or a very POWERFUL person fully using his dark and corrupting emotions to use the force i.e a powerful Sith Lord such as Sidious or a very LARGE group such as the Sith Empire. So to achieve balance said person or groups needed to be removed to bring the force back to its natural and balanced state...the lightside.
  15. I thought a gt520 could run this game pretty high? btw how does one check how many fps one is running at any given time? I mean I run a AMD Phenom N640 Duel Core, an ATI HD 5470 with 512MB, 6GB RAM and I can play the game on pretty high settings so long as I turn the shadows off...and my laptop pretty much sucks lol.
