Evironrage Posted March 1, 2012 Share Posted March 1, 2012 Looks and feels like Star Wars to me. Emp ships in SC look quite a bit like Tie-Fighters and battles ships. Lightsabers look like traditional lightsabers if you use the appropriate colored crystals. Jedi and Sith armor look pretty traditional with a bit of flare. IDK what the fuss is all about. Protocol droids and astromech droids look quite a bit like C3PO and R2D2. Plenty of original Star Wars flavor for me and I never played the KOTORs so I am not biased on that end. I mean the Terminator armor? Color + Black lightsabers? Bounty hunters looking like XFL + WWF + Rambo + GI Joe? I just keep /facepalming over and over at nearly every aspect of this game and how it repeatedly misses every mark on the side of the barn and the one next to it. That period takes place well after the game setting. Also, watching SW and knowing SW are two different things, particularly when Lucas Arts played a heavy role in lore consultation. Nothing (I've seen) in SWTOR is off the cuff. It's all part of the EU. I'll admit, I do prefer the period of the New Republic to the Old Republic. This is set like under 4000 years before the first movie.... just after the era of KOTOR 1 & 2, and this feels like KOTOR 1 & 2 and I PREFER KOTOR to the movies, the stories are better and so is the feel.
