Partyrockk
Because real PvP play will start when the average player is 50. People are still starting to play, and there's little reason to get players so far ahead that PvP becomes uninviting to incomers.
deltaminus
The difference between a fresh 50 and full battlemaster are HUGE as it is. Why would you want to make PvP even more gear dependent at the moment?
Slamz
I agree with OP. There was no reason to launch this game with such a tiny amount of PvP content. I would suggest that PvP content represents no more than 0.1% of game content. Seriously -- consider the size of all the planets, the amount of quests throughout them, the operations and flashpoints, the space missions, etc, and then consider the 3 small warzones and Ilum. One-tenth of one percent of the game is PvP? Sounds about right. Once again we have a game called "Star Wars" wherein the developers forgot to include a war. Rischie
well how many wz's would you like/think there should be? They should have made a section like ilum on every planet, and then had the daily change so that you would go to each planet every day. This solves the problem of having reached 50 as a pvper and never seeing that portion of the game again. If that was the case and there were only 3 wzs, that would be fine. Them coming out with 1 more wz, is not going to fix the problem. People will be bored after a month of it.

Bakarn
Yeeeeeah....don't care what they say, there are not that many people playing this game. You know most server populations are increasing...? For the record, WoW managed with 3 battlegrounds for 2 years. We're getting 4 after 2 months, as well as almost constant class balance updates. This game is being dealt with waaaay better than WoW, PvP wise. Edited February 11, 2012 by Bakarn

WoW PvP featured a grand total of zero battlegrounds at release. By patch 1.5, they blew the world away with (brace yourself) two. For those keeping track, that's a stellar record of pulling out two PvP areas in seven months. By the way, they were both stupid or boroing or broken for a long time too. SWTOR has 3 on release, one already in the pipeline, and a game mode that needs no rule updates, just new map design. To once again draw comparison we're now at YEAR SEVEN of WoW and they are currently rocking what, seven battlegrounds and three other PvP areas? Your sense of entitlement needs to come down a notch or seven. The game is less than two months old.

Actually 3 Warzones and Open-World is a great start first months in a mmo. More is coming people, have patience, they have already announced ranked matches, more Warzones, more planets, more more more. Hold the trigger on these "why questions", enjoy what we got and wait it out like the rest of us. When more comes be pleased like the rest of us. Stop with this picket sign's rah rah rah we need more rah rah rah lol. Edited February 11, 2012 by Caeliux

HagbardCelin
why are you even in this sub forum if you don't even like it? lol Because I pay the same $15 a month for the opportunity to read and rebut all of these ridiculous self-entitled whine posts about the lack or quality of PVP (a mini-game like space combat) in a PVE game. Just shut up, unsub SWTOR, and whine about GW2 when it comes out (and the devs didn't tailor everything EXACTLY to YOUR needs).
Aetou
When they've finished fixing all the bugs and exploits in the 3 Warzones they have then they can start spending resources on adding more. Until they have made the 3 we have work properly, though, they can't afford to work on a 4th.
