What drove away the initial playerbase?
Sun-Runner replied to Macetheace's topic in General Discussion
Insufficient content. Inadequate features. Inadequate customer service, customer interactions and customer communications. So, very, many, glitches. The inability to anticipate these problems in advance and the inability to respond to these problems (with solutions) once they occurred. Once the bleeding started, they no longer had sufficient players to use "community" as a retention tool. They fumbled due to a combination of inexperience and overconfidence. -
No. Thank you for your suggestion. Suggestion Box forum is thataway ---> (As for why? Go read up on human psychology.)

Cheating: It's effect and when it will end
Sun-Runner replied to OpenSorce's topic in General Discussion
Of course cheating exists in this game. Duh. And: Cheating at video games will end when people stop playing video games. This is true for every game ever to be made. Human is as Human does. -
Official Q&A Thread for March 2nd, 2012 Q&A Blog Post
Sun-Runner replied to JovethGonzalez's topic in General Discussion
Question: When should we expect same sex romances to be implemented in the game? Within a month, within three months, within six months, within a year, more than a year or never? We would like confirmation that this feature is still intended to be added to the game. Please confirm. -

If they have not acknowledged it as a problem, then it isn't a problem (according to them) and so they shall devote no effort towards fixing it. What we think is irrelevant except as it affects our willingness to continue subscribing. -
It is a useful filler in your healing priority rotation when you have a gap and would prefer to do something more effective with it than /dance. Properly talented, it is an almost-reliable method of regaining small amounts of energy while also acting as a gap filler.

"The truth doesn't matter man! I have an opinion!" The evidence of your posts indicates otherwise. -
Why is there so much alacrity on our healing gear?
Sun-Runner replied to Oubliettes's topic in Scoundrel / Operative
I would suggest starting here -- http://sithwarrior.com/forums/Thread-Scoundrel-Operative-Healing-Compendium -- and then ask questions about the parts that confuse you. -

Would you like me to show you the math? Would the maths and the numbers convince you? I suspect it won't, but, honestly, answer the question. Would it help you understand the problem? -

Your optimism is touching. It also happens to disagree rather severely with reality, but, well, optimism normally does. Per Bioware Austin's released information on how they prioritize their efforts, we will not be appeased. We simply lack the population in order to ever be a priority enough to get fixed. That their method ensures that we will never have the population in order to be a priority ... appears to have escaped them. Not that this is surprising. Many things appear to escape them. -
:nods: Crew skill trainers for Cybertech can and do sell a limited selection of blue and purple schematics; typically in those situations where green items in that level range don't exist for that item type. Depending on the specific item, it ranges upward from as little as 0.04 chance per reverse engineer attempt to return a schematic. Because Bioware Austin. There is no benefit to crit crafting a mod.

The sorcerer is carrying you (assuming equivalent gear and skill levels). I assume your group is running 8-person operations and not 16-person operations? -
... because their experience differs from your experience. Their experience is not invalidated by your experience; likewise, your experience is not invalidated by theirs. Empathy fail. (In addition: You're really, really, bad at math if you believe the parts of your post I snipped are correct. )

To you IA's who have recently (Feb 18th) finished Class Chapter 1...
Sun-Runner replied to pjskull's topic in Combat Styles
Yes. For all that it'd be quite amusing, I wouldn't wish that on someone else. Because Bioware Austin. -
I am. They tested a number of things during beta. I expect a good amount of those things to be returned to the live game as "new" content/gear/features/whatever. It allows them to have a backlog of partially tested content/gear/features to reach into whenever they need more stuff in the pipeline. This is intelligent of them, regardless of how frustrating it is for us.

The dev response was to unsticky the thread.

Oh really? Thats' interesting. As a "Very Low", that means it has a 0.04 chance to return a schematic when reverse engineered.

Remember when purples were actually rare?
Sun-Runner replied to Dumpiduke's topic in General Discussion
Purples have never been rare in SW:TOR. Other games are other games and aren't necessarily a good basis to form an opinion on for something as idiosyncratic as what color a specific quality of gear's name displays in. -

Then don't use it. Or be more informative, precise and specific so that those who care to help you can potentially help you. -
She will still be locked into the same legacy name. Once picked, a legacy name is bound to that server/account regardless of whether you have any characters on that server anymore or not.
