  1. I laughed really hard at this post. I have a feeling OP is a younger kid, or a very sad and disturbed adult. Neither would surprise me.
  2. I don't know if you have taken a look at the recent poll, but if that were the case and everyone who was dissapointed with the game left, that would be roughly over 50% of the player base. People want this game to be good and change, they just aren't happy with how it is currently. There is nothing wrong with that.
  3. NO The journey from 1-50 was fun, and all my old swg buddies all got back together again and started a huge guild. Once we all got 50 everyone left since they realized the games major flaws. I will most likely soon be following with an unsub. Even if more content comes, the fundamental basis of this game isn't there, heck even tho coding is done so badly that the game is riddled with exploiters and hackers.
  4. A zone like ilum on each planet but with different objectives, then have the daily change to which planet you had to go to.
  5. They should have made a section like ilum on every planet, and then had the daily change so that you would go to each planet every day. This solves the problem of having reached 50 as a pvper and never seeing that portion of the game again. If that was the case and there were only 3 wzs, that would be fine. Them coming out with 1 more wz, is not going to fix the problem. People will be bored after a month of it.
  6. Unless of course you realize that unlike wow where much is handled server side, in swtor much is actually client side. This is the reason why people can speed hack etc in this game and not in wow, because the client tells the server where it is and not vice versa. In wow the server tells where the client is, and thus if the client gets ahead of the server, it rubber bands you beacuse that is where you actually are. Have you noticed you have never rubber banded in this game, yet in wow you do? That's the reason why, it was done like this to reduce server lag, however they didn't realize so much at the amount of client side lag it projected, that and having a 5 year old engine didn't help. This is also the reason why ilum is so laggy when you get more then 10 people on it, because the client is handling a lot of the work load, this is why a mega server would never work with this game without the client having an amazing computer. It comes down to the basic coding of the game, so don't knock someone before you know what you are talking about.
  7. My theory is most people don't have the ball binded, and are clickers. Sometimes you need to throw the ball and that fraction of a second means you just lost because you miss clicked.
  8. EVE has been hailed as one of the best pvp mmos of all time. This pvp is far more boring. The combat is good, but the lack of content sucks.
  9. QFE besides, ITS 2012 THE WOLD IS GOING TO END, THEY MAY NOT HAVE TIME TO GET MORE PATCHES!!!
  10. If they added wookies, then my head might explode with joy. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter.
  11. I played wow for awhile. However I haven't played it in a few years. I got really tired of wow and I like the scify settings way more. That being said, all this game made me want to do is go back to wow, because its essentially the same game, its just wow has more. I most likely wont go back to wow, and stay, simply because of the fact that it is star wars and all my friends play here, but man does it kinda stink. No its not just you.

    1 FPS on IIlum.

I also get the same, and I have a pretty nice computer. Its not amazing by any means but i have an i7 proc with 4 gigs of ram and a ok graphics card. The engine is pretty bad that they are using. Don't know what they will be able to do about it. Its pretty sad too considering these matches really aren't a lot of people compared to other mmos. Its because they tried to make a lot of the stuff client side to reduce server lag, it just ended up back firing hardcore because of the engine, its a flaw in its basic design.

    Dueling area?

Yup, I feel like this is why there are so any bad players whining about imbalances. No one has really given out a chance to go head to head and actually get better
  14. They have already shelled all there money on voice acting. Its a lot of work but I think bioware has it in em.
  15. Takes me about 4 hours to finish the weekly. Its not that bad on my server. I'm in 50 bracket and with pugs I went on a 17 game winning streak today. Guess it depends on the server.
  16. you should just pvp with us art. We always win.
  17. Anyways, I've been throwing this around with my guildies and they all have seemed to like the idea. Of course there are some flaws in it that would have to be addressed, but I just wanted to see what the pvp community thought about it. Now i am personally a big fan of world pvp. Much more so then any battle ground pvp, and so when I heard about ilum i thought it would be great. However we all know the continued problems with ilum, so before my system could even take effect, ilum would have to be addressed. But my plan is as follows. Create objectives on each planet, like ilum has. They can all be different, and can be a zone off to the side. Say for instances you have a section of Tatooine dedicated to just world pvp, where you have to capture something or do something similar to ilum. You do this for all the major planets. How do you get people to go to them? Make it so that each day the daily changes. One day the mission will tell you to go to ilum and get 30 kills, the next day it may tell you to go to Tatooine and capture 20 turrets or something. What this helps fix is the uselessness of each planet in pvp besides ilum. Lets face it, if you are a hardcore pvper you are either in ilum, or in a wz. All the other planets at endgame might as well not be there. It also helps just by giving a change of scenery every day. Lets face it, ilum is a bland hoth rip off, and seeing it over and over every day is boring and contributes to the problem of making pvp more mundane. Just a simple thing of changing your environment would help people feel better about pvping. Ilum is cold and dark and otherwise depressing. No wonder no one wants to pvp there. Imagine fighting on Tatooine in the bright sand and hot sun. If you have a different planet every day that you had to go to it would spice things up a bit. Lets also say that you hate going to Belsavis on the day that it rotates, well it doesn't become a big problem because the next day will be a different planet. I think most of us can agree Ilum sucks, but we do it anyway to get more valor. Anyways this was just a thought I had, obviously it would take a massive amount of work by the dev team, because we are essentially having 5-8 more ilums spread across all the planets. And it would also be necessary for them to fix ilum in the first place. Anyways I would love to hear what you, the pvp community, think about it. Perhaps it may be something to push on the devs.
  18. I think I am just going to chime in here and say as a pvper in this game (don't worry about yelling at me to just cancel my account, already ahead of you) that my money in this game is worthless to me. I don't know if anyone really sees that as a problem, but I just thought I would point it out, that i really do not need in game money. I get badges that let me get pvp gear, I get bags that give me first aid stuff. Crafting does not concern me because I have all the gear I want through pvping. So all that's left to do is smash buttons. Which, contrary to popular belief is not the only thing we pvpers like to do. The occasional crafting would not be that bad, but there is no incentive to do it. Where as the OP has clearly pointed out, having a mix hybrid can clearly have its benefits.
  19. Think I just found my new game. Bye swtor, hello arch!
  20. I certainly agree, I would have loved to see a game with no voice acting and good game mechanics, then vice versa. Also they cookie cutter armor sets at the end I never liked. Now what would be cool is if you got the attachments and you could put them in anything you wanted. That way you could still keep the gear element to it, yet still customize the way your character looks to how ever you wanted. If you are a bm and have full bm, you all look the same. Its silly.
  21. Its not players fault rolling imps. I am a repub, and it really is hard when you see that imps have the coolest looking armor, better story lines, hell they even have holograhpic trees in their star port. Repub has none of that. imo its the devs fault for putting all the cool **** on one side.
  22. exactly, it was awesome. I say the hell with bgs all together, lets get some real world pvp going.
  23. Its because everyone's faith is more or less rattled since the devs said they would fix ilum, and now it is more or less a broken mess. Peoples faith in the knowledge that the devs will actually make something that works is what is really in check it seems.
