Why are we forced to wear ugly PVP gear at 50?

Why are there not mods so we can change our pvp gear to whatever we want. It just seems like social gear or orange gear is worthless when you hit 50. If I want battlemaster gear on a social bikini set why can't I use that?

Why do I have to stare at an ugly generic pvp gear set for the rest of my time playing. We should have the opportunity to change what we wear if we want. Designating an ugly pvp armor set just for the stats is ridiculous. Please change this otherwise why have Orange gear and social gear. Anyone else feel this way?

the clone wars is an important part of star wars lore.

In the last statement that the devs made, there was a line about "extractable base mods (armoring/barrel etc.) from purple items" but no clarification if that included the PvP gear as well or not. I would hope so, because almost no one likes the way their PvP gear looks at lvl 50. I would much rather use my lvl 40 PvP set than my lvl 50 PvP set as a Sentinel.

This would all be solved with an addition of an A tab. That way there would be some individuality between toons. but since that makes sense I am more then sure BW wont do it. Personally I have seem some low lvl green gear i would rather wear by using an A tab option over the pvp gear that apparently was designed by the blind.

I understand that but I think that is not for pvp 50 pvp sets because of the bonuses. We should be allowed to have full aestetic customization of what our main looks like since we will have it until we quit playing.

The devs really need to fix this because I guess as it stands we will all look the same at 50. There are so many awesome looking orange sets out there that would be great to move the battlemaster stats to like the sandperson outfit or something. Here is to hoping this gets implemented soon otherwise I will just have to look at a stupid looking outfit.

The way it should be done is have the majority of gear fully moddable, and have the set bonuses on the mods, atleast imo.

Still have the pvp gear there of coarse, so you can show off if you like, and also have to grind for it, but you could remove the mods and put them into something that is decent looking. Really, the total lack of customization at 50 is terrible. Why it's a sin to look different than someone else is beyond me. I mean, some of the gear just looks awful to me. Going from the lvl 40 pvp gear on my bh healer which I think looks nice and iconic and whatnot, to the like...egg helmet was rough.

What i've suggested would add alot to the game, and it would be much easier to do than a flat out appearance tab. People wouldn't have to feel like they look stupid, which no doubt is not fun, and games are about...what again? Also, I would go hunting for cool looking, maybe rare or hard to find, pieces. There are many many many many people on the forums (see the a-tab discussion that's been going on for like 3 years) that hate looking the same, noone wants to, and at that, noone wants to look ugly as well as identical.

BW really should do this, would only help player retention. I'm enjoying the game a good deal, but after playing WoW for so long and having many of the things I don't like about that game in this one...well, i'm not sure how long I will play.

there was talk (rumour?) of the set bosnuses being on the armour slot and armour slots being restricted to same item type (i.e. armour pulled from a pvp chest can only go into an orange chest, not into orangle legs, gloves etc)

We need appearance tab!

Glad others agree. This is kind of a big issue for me as dumb as it may sound. Hitting 50 and being stuck with one ugly outfit sucks. If you want variety of what you can wear don't hit 50 I guess. Please Bioware do something about this. I hate looking like everyone else who is 50 and has pvp gear on :/

Less models to load in ilum makes it smooth.

Thanks and this needs to be addressed sooner than later. All this varietey of neat looking orange gear and social gear. What is the point of social levels if at 50 they seems to be worthless because I can't use the gear? WTB a dev response but doubt that will happen.

Yeah right. I can totally picture a great war leader in a bikini suit. After all Napoleon, Alexander the great and attilas the hun were wearing their Speedos while they were conquering 1/4 of earth.

It is a game and we should be able to customize our toons however we want even at 50. You can't compare RL history to how a game should be.

Bioware has already said that they are going to allow players to remove mods from PvP gear while still keeping the 2 set/4 set bonuses when placing those mods in orange gear. They also said there will be restrictions as to what slot a specific mod can go in. They have not said what patch this fix will go in but my guess is Patch 1.2 in March. Edited by copasetic

This along with an assortment of other level 50 related PvP issues is why I quit leveling at 45.

If I reach 50 before I can wear the gear I want to wear instead of their Fugly PvP sets, I'm unsubing.

If I wanted to look like every other Yahoo at level 50, I would have just stuck with WoW. At least then I could take my hat off and wear a tabbard to somewhat cover my Fugliness.

Seriously item customization and the ability to look different than your team mates, was the reason I signed up in the first place.
