Is Gear Supposed to Look... Like This?

Armour design in this game is a complete failure. While we can kick korean tipe MMO for their grindiness etc, one thing they DO have is the design of the armours.

check out some cloths types, IMO some of the most beautiful ones i have ever seen.

And so on. Listed only some cloth types but ... after Aion, the designs in this game urges me to gouge my own eyes to avoid seeing these crappy and horific models.

I'm not really in to those...

Please don't be offended, I'm just a little perplexed at why the armor looks kind of bad for me in the game.

Not crisp at all. I have a radeon hd 5900 which is a very good card, my settings are absolute max, I'm just thinking is this how it looks for everyone else? The armor looks a little blurry/etc.

That is not an accurate depiction of how the clothing looks. Take a SS of the character, not the crappy textures you get in the character window or the preview window.

You are trying to throw people off, and I don't appreciate it.

Any reason you're not showing the actual character and not the preview pane (which does look like crap)?

Bioware has given the excuse that it makes the game play more smoothly when high-res textures are not in but we all know there's plenty of MMO's which can handle high-res textures just fine. This is the best their crappy engine (bought unfinished I might add) can do and you won't get them to admit it.

It looks the same either way. The only way you can see high-res textures is in cutscenes.

You're level 25, according to the picture. It seems you have chosen about the worst looking armor out there and displayed it with the lowest possible resolution.

Granted, if the Jedi style of clothing isn't your cookie, you won't like any of the armors, but there are about 2-3 orange chest armors you can get on Coruscant that look better than the one you chose to wear. Not even to mention that you're probably on Nar Shaddaa with your character, where you can buy some nice armor either with credits or commendations.

That said: I do agree with the sentiment that gear, for Jedi especially, can be rather bland. Mostly due to the colors.

Wrong. The preview and character window has even WORSE textures than the low res in game. He is showing the worst possible textures for clothing in the game, and I don't think anyone with half a brain will appreciate his ruse.
