Democratus
Big fan of the voice acting. I hope it is the future of MMOs.
spazzdla
You skip them yes, the majority actually DOES NOT. You =! the majority, get over yourself OP, get over yourself.
captainmerkin
its worth every penny even lance henrickson doing the time lines was awesome.
spazzdla
I listened to every quest. How in the world do you know MOST people aren't listening to every quest? He doesn't he assumes he is all knowing and everyone on the planet does what he does. Everyone I know IRL that plays this game has never hit space bar once. luminat
Voice acting is what makes this game so special. Nearly like an interactive movie. It is definitely worth it.
Goibhnie
Yes, it is worth it. While I have skipped some of it on leveling my alts in tandem, I doubt I will as much when I go back and pick up the other 2 classes I haven't done yet. I'm luckily one of those people whom hasn't had computer issues, so I'm not seeing the bad in the usage of resources. Yes, UI elements could be improved, but like many others have said, without VO it would be just like any other MMO. Take Rift for example, I leveled without reading the text pretty much because the story didn't really draw me in, but it is a beautiful game and has some really cool elements. The VO here does just that, it draws you in. This game above just about any other makes me feel part of the story despite it being an MMO and many others doing the exact same thing. But, turning off gen chat, trade, and names - they just turn into npcs.
Jett-Rinn
Yes the incredible story is what keeps me and everyone I know playing. Min/Maxers and power levelers hate it; but this game wasn't made with them in mind which I see as a bonus.
Doel
absolutely worth it. I could listen to the voice of my smuggler all day long. Not skipping any dialogue either, nor are the two people I'm constantly playing with. We take our time, we enjoy what's been given to us and listen to it. Just last night I said it again: the voice acting is awesome. It's what draws me into the game, if it's taken away... mmh, don't think I'd keep my sub then. Just saying Edited January 11, 2012 by Doel
Faldaith
SWTOR without voice-acting is like a car without wheels, you won't move around

ltankhsd
Yes definitely. To me it's the difference between black and white and color TV.
Ossos
Class quests: yes. Everything else, heck no. A fetch quest is a fetch quest. Kill 10 rats is kill 10 rats.

Dreossk
Voice acting is ok but the animations don't follow, it's like 2 robots talking to each other, it's very rare for either person to move and actually look believably alive.
Arkerus
ITT Armchair analysts trying to predict the success of the game, based on a factor of voice acting, when they know nothing of Bioware's internal processes and cost structure. Yes. Its worth it.
RocNessMonster
You guys are silly, you act like voice actors get paid exorbitant salaries. Only voice actors who make big money are the ones on major TV shows like Billy West or the entire cast of the Simpsons.
Miukie
For me it’s the difference between a classic and boring XP grind and a fun leveling experience. So yes it’s definitely worth it.
Ejja
It is so worth it. It makes the game unique. It is one of the main reasons I play this game. It makes the game way more immersive.
Bundin
Hint: turn off the subtitles. Doing that made the game a lot more immersive for me. Without the voiced content, this'd be another grind to max level. Now I actually know what's going on on the planets I visit.
xguild
In short, the voice acting, cinematic cut scenes and story driven gameplay IS the game. Without it, this game would be a hallow, empty shell with fewer features than games released a decade ago.
MasterEddard
Definitely worth it. Makes the leveling experience so much more worthwhile.
Tokeee
Absolutely Not! It's a horrible job. The cutscenes are ridiculously short and when I do hear someone it's just fragments of a word. Also this game is wearing out my spacebar quickly.
Jediwran
Most players do not skip the cut-scenes. And saying it a million times over isn't going to make it true. Start with a premise of fact, before you start your arguments.
