The game won't fail but it won't ever live up to its hype.

What indicators would even hint at 2.5 to 3 million? It's not the hours played. It's not the loss post 1st month free time. It's not the copies sold. Don't get me wrong the game will succeed but to say 2.5 - 3 million subscribers is utterly hilarious.

Well it's not time magazine no matter how you spin it (since it is just a copy pasta) and warhammer online. What negative reviews did it get? What is telling is that there has not be a "we hit 2 million subscribers" announcement (which many people expected) and that week to week people are playing the game less.

IT did have it's FPS issues at launch but in no way shape or form was the combat nearly as clunky at launch as it was/is in SWTOR.

I loved Rift but I agree there was just something a little off about the world. I never could quite put my thumb on it.

FFXI did it for the Ranger class and it was more trouble then it was worth IMO.

IF it had been NPH I would have actually cared.

You won't likely see new servers for a very long time.

Does anyone else feel the Flesh Raiders are almost too comical in appearance to be a villainous faction? Jedi Rock Den Hsssssst!

For those that have done both (or either) which presents a more interesting story between the two?

I am confused as to why people talk about 2 million subs when bioware has not announced any subscription numbers since the 26 of dec. The sales numbers are not reliable and even then there are only 1.7 million confirmed sales. Finally one has to factor in monthly overhead costs vs subscription numbers. Until the quarterly report comes out it is all silly speculation.

While the Unreal engine is at least from the players side of things superior to the Hero engine the conversion would be more or less impossible.

I disagree.

People go on and on about the stories but for the republic at least they are not that great. The JK story is basic Hero shtick that has no real depth. The Consular kinda feels like the B side of a record. It should have been better. The Trooper starts off in the most tedious fashion possible but does get better (not great but better). The smuggler story is fairly fun and just offbeat enough to keep it interesting.

That sounds insanely annoying in a MMO.

So he should stay here wasting money on a subpar MMO until they bring it up to par?

Why would it, the forums are more entertaining and fun then the game. Might as well get your monies worth somehow.

Those are highly advanced features that only the most performance heavy next gen MMOs are even remotely capable of. ie WoW, FFXI, etc.

The mods need to start locking necros.

If you go by episodes 1-3 maybe. Obiwan and Yoda were not party animals but there were not as tedious as Jedi in this game.

Assuming the population is declining it is not an apocalyptic drop. A game bleeding subs is really obvious. That being said the 1 month mark is upon us and there will be a drop, by the 3rd and 6th month marks it will be very clear where the game is headed.

They don't seem to say much beyond, story choices are fun. No I did not listen to the whole thing.
