You may not use names containing titles or ranks within them, e.g. General Supertrooper, Captain Tim, Darth Timmy, Knight Wakey. You may not use names from popular culture or media, e.g. Lady Gaga or George Lucas. Unfortunately they don't go seeking the names so someone must have reported you. The new name you've chose is likely to be reported again. So be prepared. You may not use names that refer to drugs or that are drug related. 11. You may not use names that contain an inappropriate phrase, sentence or any fragment of a sentence or Leet speak, e.g. uberhaxer, xxspeederxx, lolface, rofl, Noobwhacker, TimmyF**k, kock, fuk. 12. You may not use misspellings or alternative spellings of names that violate any of the above rules, e.g. Hamsolo, Yooda, DorthVader. 13. You may not use gibberish names when creating character, e.g. ajsdu, rifndsw, qweszs. If you violate any part of the above Naming Policy you will either be assigned a new name, or given the option of changing the name. I thought that Doctor Who would be as much of a trademark as DrWho. That does not matter. Trademark law is pretty straightforward. No, I am NOT a lawyer. But basically trademark law REQUIRES you to actively defend your trademark, or you will eventually lose it. Making money or not has absolutely ZERO to do with it. Just make up your own original character name. Re-using a pop culture name is really lame anyway. Trademark law actually serves an important need - and it DOES protect customers, too. Yes it can be abused, but that doesn't completely invalidate the basic concept. I mean, if you buy, say, a Mac, you'd want a real Apple Mac, not some nonfunctional garbage someone decides to stick the Apple name on, right?
