You're is the contraction of you and are. As in You're an idiot.2. Your is used to describe ownership. "Your car." "Your mom"3. If you are using the word a as in "a car" or "a hamburger" and the next word starts with a vowel. USE THE WORD AN INSTEAD OF A. As in "You're an idiot." That is all. At least not without my eyes bleeding. Overall I have seen very little of that on this community (maybe I am just never around for them? I dunno) I'm happy.
