Thank you for telling me how I'm finding it. I'm using shift, control keybinds too but that's it, shift-F, control-1, alt-c all do one attack.
I'm comparing this combat system to the one in Age Of Conan where you have a key for the combo starter and in order to pull the combo off have to follow that starter up with up to three other keys and each combo has a different combination of keys to input.
These attacks can be left sided, right sided, upper left, upper right and straight ahead so you choose which to utilise based on the enemies shields.
The enemies directional shielding has up to three positions (left, right and straight ahead) and three levels of shielding which the enemy alters in real time combat and you have to attune your attacks to the area where their shielding is not there or at it's lowest level.
Then you have your own defensive ability to counter real time attacks.
This game it's just one key one attack and there's no real challenge there.
