  1. Also in Nem'ro's palace, not too far from the Chewbacca and C-3PO easteregg, there is a table with a with a Rodian and Human named Greepo and Hun Duo obviously being a reference to Greedo and Han Solo.
  2. Gungan Jedi sound more diabolical, Sith would simply not be able to focus due to not being able to hold their laughter as the Gungan Jedi announces himself. "Meesa Jedi, meesa beat yous!"
  3. Lmao, quite so. no Gungan ever would survive as an Acolyte.
  4. See! That's what I meant! It's near impossible to be bad-*** while being a Gungan, it would be too hilarious honestly.
  5. Bah, too many threads exist where in people ask about end-game content, target of target and what not. It's basically always plastered on the main page. I'm just making light of the situation. =P
  6. For a playable species? Gungans! Messa wanna be Jedi! Just imagine all the voice acting....and all the hatred towards them that will follow. I'd dare to say it would be seen as a troll species...and yet I would totally play a Gungan, just to be different....a Gungan Sith >.>
  7. Not sure, at least there's no annoying screen pop up with Peppy in it blabbering that you need to do a barrel roll....imagine if Peppy was in there! Dear God! Anyways...so far I have noticed, it doesn't really add in any avoidance or allows you to quick dodge things, I think it is just for show but I might, just might, be wrong.
  8. And here's two facts that may have a good sense of truth to them, though this is my personal view on this so take it as you wish. 1. Most people have no issues, you don't see them on the forums because they are playing the game. 2. The complainers that actively post on the forums seem to be the majority but in truth are the minority because, once again, those without issues (which are the majority), are too busy enjoying the game.
  9. So like....you want a discount of lost time, that if done the math right about the subscription cost divided by the days the subscription lasts, that is about...50 to 75 cents? Really?
  10. That might just be the case, try some other games and take some time away, then when you feel like it, return and see how your experience goes from there.
  11. Try Bounty Hunter perhaps? Personally said I have been enjoying my Merc a lot and have gotten further with her then the other classes I have tried.
  12. A neutral faction would do wonders, even more so if it has both it's own story, but can also allow you to go to either Empire or Republic if you so choose for it. If there must be a third factions, I would say have the Mandolorians enter the fray, but that might be too much alike the Bounty Hunter class.
  13. ^ This is the case with many people who dislike the game and don't understand why so many professional reviewers give the game a good score. To elaborate more onto this, first of all. How can anyone think EA or Bioware or hell, even Lucas Arts are paying reviewers to give their game a good rating. That is monopolizing which is basically a bad thing, further more what about all the game magazine's and shows internationally that review games, do they get paid too for giving this game a high score? Sure they do, it's their job and it's still their standard wager that they get, it is not however supplied by EA, BW or anything like that. Professional reviewers, whether they be from IGN or any other site, magazine, tv-show that reviews do this for a living, it is journalism and they have gone through educations for this type of work. They are supposed to be subjective about it and have to look at the game from a view that is different then that of the player who plays it because they have to judge and review it in such a way that it can tell the reader of a review whether they may like the game or not. Usually professional reviewers are unbiased, sure they may have their own preferences and opinions, but they are more prone to stick to what is good or bad in a game despite what they personal feelings may be on a franchise. Thus it is possible for a reviewer who absolutely dislikes a certain franchise still gives a game a good score based on how the game is. Does that mean reviews are always right? No, people's opinion may always vary and a game that has given great reviews may end up doing badly, and a game with less likened reviews may do very good. In the end, it is the player who decides whether they like a game or not, reviews are meant to be seen as guidelines and not as definitive words as in "Buy this game!" or "Don't buy this game!"
  14. Personally I dislike comparing games to each other, because I frankly find it silly to do so as it is not such a big deal to me, though of course I can perhaps understand why it is a big deal to other people. Now, one most know that my library of MMO's played is relatively small (perhaps downright insulting to a veteran MMO player) so my knowledge of comparison is rather small. I for example have never played WoW, nor EQ2 nor GW1, actually, the only MMO's I have played were Rising Force: Online, Perfect World and Dynasty Warriors online, three MMO's that are hardly alike when compared. There was never a reason for me to compare them either because that's not why I played them for. A common thing is to compare SW:TOR to WoW because the latter is the ruling king of the MMO genre whether you like it or not. I dare to say that I never liked WoW, but then again I never liked Warcraft in general and when Blizzard came with an MMO based of an RTS game I simply wasn't moved by it. Would I say that it is a bad game because of that? No, some people may find it hard to admit but WoW is simply a good game when it comes down to it, it is not the leading MMO currently out there for nothing. The game itself is not bad, I simply just do not like it and as such you wont see me bashing it and claiming that it sucks. Do I find SW:TOR superior to it? No, not at all and quite frankly I don't care either whether SW:TOR is better then WoW or not because it simply does not matter to me. Comparing games, or just MMO's in general is all fine and dandy, but in the end all it does is creating a rift between players who either like WoW and players who like SW:TOR. That's about the same as people who like PS3 and people who like Xbox 360 and how they end up bashing each other on how their system is better and how the other is a piece of crap. In all honesty, the MMO community should not even follow such examples because, let's face it, there will always be people who like WoW better, or EQ2 better or any other MMO, and there will be people who solely swear by SW:TOR and that is perfectly fine, it is however not fine when you bash onto the other game just because you do not like it. We are all entitled to our own opinion yes, but we have to respect that of others as well and there is simply no point into arguing which MMO is better. They are all great games to the people who enjoy playing them and have fun in them, and in the end that is all what matters. To have fun in a game.
  15. No offense, but it is grammar, with an A, not grammer... Oh and it is "too many" not "to many".
  16. That comparison makes no sense at all. First off, practically no one would by a CD-player for the same price of an iPod whether the company is new or old, the CD-player is an outdated format of portable music players and is hardly used anymore. Secondly, the CD-player and iPod are two completely different things, sure they are both portable music players but you simply cannot compare them due to that they are not the same thing. In your comparison, it would be like comparing a textual based MMO vs a 3D MMO, you can't make that comparison, it's not the same thing. ^ This, I fully agree with.
  17. I agree a lot with that statement, people nowadays don't seem to have the patience anymore to wait for much longer then a week or two before they claim the game will be a failure. They do not give it enough time to progress and improve, which is just plain wrong because no MMO ever starts out perfect and without flaws, it takes time to make something this big and even longer to improve on it. On a further note, and also in agreement with Samborino and acknowledging my own mistake, I was indeed wrong to say that I admit that it is a WoW clone, it's not, in truth it is just a "clone" of today's common MMO standards that we see in so many games, even in MMO's before WoW or that were released not long before or after WoW (Think of EQ2 which was released a few weeks prior to WoW) In the end, and all honesty meant with it, that's actually what it is all about, to have fun with it.
  18. Well, yes and no. While it is true that SW:TOR has copied over a lot of WoW, as I said they added their own twist to it. I do believe that such is the case that some things are inferior to how things are in WoW, but that said they also added some of their own things into it which works well. It's a bit of give and take and hopefully that which is now less, will be improved over the course of the next weeks/months.
  19. Yes, it is no secret that one day WoW will not be a the throne anymore, though that wont say that Blizzard wont keep the throne, after all they do have basically everything they need to come up with a replacement. They have the experience of WoW behind them and this could mean Titan may be the new big one or even something like World of Starcraft. Of course...it will remain a hopeful wish that SW:TOR will reach the same greatness that WoW has achieved.
  20. /Bows I do my best to provide constructive comment, though I will admit some of mine have been a bit less then others...blame bad sleep.
  21. Not exactly the comments I had hoped for but.....ok, that seriously made me laugh.
  22. Actually, reading through all that, I must admit that I agree with you there. Why I am of opinion that my own view on it has influence on it as well, it is indeed true that due to subscription costs and time spend into one game, many players will not bother with a new game. After all, why pay for two subscriptions and start all over in another game? Sadly this does damage the MMORPG market like you say, because Blizzard has such a tight hold over it in a way, that most new MMORPG's just cannot compete up to it, the downside for Blizzard itself however...they have the chicken with golden eggs, they don't really want to risk replacing it and risk loosing everything. Hence why they are working both a new expansion for WoW, and their upcoming MMO currently named Titan.
  23. You're welcome and I am glad you do And I added the TL;DR version up as a spoiler >.> Oh I fully agree on that, it is pretty much unavoidable in the end no matter what game. Though, I figured I would give my own view onto things about those things. To be honest, the most forum topics I read are those of complainers and such, not because they are the most often the threads you see first, but more so as to know why and how the community reacts to it.
  24. Well you were warned =P But let's see... The game is pretty good and has a decent launch, it has flaws and bugs but what games does not? We are promised fixes, and despite that some issues have been there since beta I do believe they will be fixed. Stop comparing SW:TOR to WoW, it is simply unfair to compare a game that has not been out for even a month yet, to a game that has had 7 years to cement it's current position. There will always be complainers and people that dislike the game, thing is that they can better put their time in a constructive post as to why they complain or dislike the game, rather then being the next troll or whiner that gets pointed out for such. That's about the short short version I can give.
