Thanks for the responses. I'll hit up the dailies while using the crew skills. Will try to work it in with the pvp dailies as well and come up with a system of getting as much done in 3 hours of daily gameplay as possible.

After hitting 50, the money traing came to a grinding halt. Now that I'm there and a lot of my PVP addons will require cash and lots of it, whats the best way to get income? I'm about to finish levelling slicing, underworld trading and treasure hunting as my gathering skills. If you have to go solo, where's a good place to grind for things that actually make money?

I've seen a number of players sporting a mixture of custom augmented gear + war hero gear. Has anyone done the numbers and worked out what the best gear combination is. What stats should you aim for in everything that helps with PVP? I'm using Annihilation (and don't want to switch). Is there a page which shows all the calculations/caps....etc?

I've recently hit lvl 50 on a marauder and immediately bought a BM saber and of course the recruit gear to get started off with pvp. It didn't take long to get the offhand saber to go with it. I'm noticing that due to marauder's inate strength compared to other classes on our server (perhaps not many people on my server are geared), that I'm holding my own pretty well already. Would you recommend skipping the full deck out to BM and start gearing War Hero, or maybe just buy certain BM items which are a significant improvement over recruit? What War Hero sets are recommended? Vindicator for everything?

Many of your opponents didn't have expertise before . Now they all do. So the gap has now closed against joe average. Your full bm set is now middle tier and every new 50 has 1 to 3 pieces of bm.

Having played shadow and sorc, I think the reason people call for sorc nerfs is purely because sorcs end up near the top of the wz charts often. People feel sorcs kill too easily because they don't realise they are being attacked until too late and are usually being worked by multiple sorcs (popular class). When being attacked by melded there's no ignoring the threat. Sorc damage can be easy to miss at first.

I had the same issue till about lvl 40 then read up that kinetic was so much better at tanking. From that point on I was able to fight gold stars without even losing 1/4 of my hp by the end of the fight.

We have population issues on our server and I decided to log on an imperial alt to see how bad it really was. What I found was that on the Republic side we only had a few saves. But more shadows and knights. On the Imperial side they had a Lot of sorcerers, almost as many as we had total Jedi. Is it the name Sage that makes it unsexy and makes it seem "un-powerful"? I saw this happen in the same mission while I was headphones off. Started off with the Twilek, I was like "hehe naked Twilek"... Then it cuts to Nadia and I'm thinking "Hey, they're my crew. ............. NOOOOO!!!!! ..... mine's the only bed on the ship!!!!"

Project in PVP at lvl 50 becomes your primary damaging attack. With clarivoyant strike charges and all the other boosts to its damage and crit, it hits for a ton. As DR on things get higher, the smaller spamable attacks become less relavent. It becomes more efficient to do 1 big hit with a bit of damage reduction taken off than a series of small hits which are almost totally mitigated.

Didn't pvp before 50 so dunno what comms you get prior to 50. As 50, just keep playing warzones and doing your dailies and weeklies in ilum. Keep trading your comms for champion bags until you get 123 (I think) champion comms and buy your saber as your first champion item. By the time you have the saber you should already be decked out in Centurion gear (bags come with 15 centurion + 7 champion comms, and centurion items are cheap) Ilum is very Shadow friendly because we have stealth. Even if the area is overrun by imps, you can still get the sneaky weapons crate steals. Get together with a couple more shadows and play with them regularly and the central area of ilum can be quite fun to hunt in.

I had the same issue when I hit pvp at 50. It felt like I was just hitting people with a wet noodle. Things improved instantly 2 days ago when I got a champion saber and started using boosts properly. Getting your two hits of cs in then popping all your damage boosts before using project is a game hanger if you're not already doing it properly. After these changes I'm now taking on 2 at a time in ilum where before people would just toy with me.

This is true ... if you get no answer on this, then I'd recommend setting up a new character on the server when its available and making sure its latency is better/ check its IP. USA is closer to Australia route-wise than asia is.

I haven't noticed any issues with stealth in Ilum. I was there with another Shadow last night for hours. We were standing right next to crates or on paths kicking people off speeders. Imps didn't notice we were there until they got kicked....then hit....then kicked again...and murdered Neither of us had difficulties getting away when we got badly outnumbered either. There were a few stealthed assassins around and we could only spot em from 2-5m when we crossed paths.

I'll finish levelling up my first character to 50 today and will be looking into gearing up. Can anyone point me to a site which shows all the formulas for damage calculation...etc? I'm after something that'll show how stat scores translate to force/weapon damage (also damage mitigation..etc too) for the consular and how crit damage/etc is stacked.

...on a different note though .... Nadia *boing!* ... know what I'm sayin? Send her on missions just to hear her voice.
