  1. If you are indeed topping the damage charts and losing every game, you need to switch servers. Obviously your team mates are hopeless/badly geared/both. You could also join the party and switch teams.... build the same character class on republic, then transfer your WH items via legacy gear to that character once it hits 50.
  2. All the maras in my guild (all Carnage) and even the rage specced Jugs get over 900k from time to time in a 1 node all CW. No need to make a big deal of it because our PT's are getting 1.2 to 1.4 mil in those games.
  3. Yeah you should rip some of the crit surge mods and enhancements and replace with power surge mods from vindicator and force mystic gloves. You should also buy 4 vindicator items and swap the armoring into your stuff for the 4 piece bonus (better than weaponmaster). You should also ditch your bracers and belt and replace with the legacy, modable items with power mods in them. A significant component of Ability damage is calculated by multiplying your bonus damage stat by the ability's coefficient. For some attacks it multiplies the bonus by 2.8 to 3 times, just for non-crit damage. So for some attacks, having 100 extra bonus damage than before means around 300 extra damage on the attack.
  4. War Hero's Deft Mod 26 also comes in the Vindicator gloves, and they're cheaper than the Weaponmaster helmet.... and yes, Force Mystic gloves for your power enhancements. By power stacking with these mods and enhancements, you'll be sacrificing crit chance and some accuracy. You'll have to observe carefully to make sure you're dps in wz's and against the dummy is actually increasing.
  5. It should be fine for up to lvl 50 for you, but once you hit 50, with no decent pvp gear your massacres will feel like you're hitting the enemy with a wet noodle. You might consider switching back to annihilation at 50 until you're better geared (at least full BM). Once you start power stacking your gear after having full WH, you'll feel rather godly (3 second kills on silly sages who PVP in PVE gear).
  6. Not sure if its an issue with the site, but those last 2 swords don't have all the slots 0.0 .... if that's correct you might not want them.
  7. As a Carnage Marauder with lots of up front burst, I'd really like to get the Vindicator 4 piece set bonus (10% damage for 5 secs after charge). The problem is there are only 5 slots that have gear containing bonuses and I'd also like to have the Weaponmaster 2 piece bonus ( lower CD on undying rage). I know that the WH bonus is tied to the amoring mod and the BM bonus is tied to the shell. Is it possible to have BOTH bonuses by putting the WH Vindicator armoring mod into a BM Weaponmaster shell or will it just give me the Vindicator set bonus? If I have to choose between the two, I'll probably just stick with the Vindicator 4 piece plan.

  9. Against teams which play well and match you in gear, you'll lose civil war every time without the carnage speed buff, you'll also not get the first ball in huttball. When civil war turns into a 1 node each + all round fight at mid, you'll regret being 30 seconds behind in capping snow because the other team disrupted your cap and got their's super fast.
  10. you're rolling a marauder because your pt is not OP enough? http://i.imgur.com/MPFCO.jpg But yeah, the playstyle is fun.... especially carnage and rage spec. Annihilation is fine as a beginner spec but once you gear up you'll appreciate the benefits of carnage
  11. When badly geared and new to the class, annihilation is good as it's the most forgiving and survivable. What it seriously lacks is burst compared to the other specs. Its good for racking up damage, but when a lot of that is healed through because it takes longer to bring a target down, it's not useful damage. When reasonably geared (approaching full WH) Carnage is great as you can do enough burst to take people out fast. If the devs changed the solo kill stat so that you get awarded a solo kill if you were responsible for taking out >3/4 of a person's health immediately before they die, then carnage marauder would be the king of this stat out of all classes. If your Rated team is competitive and only runs with 1 marauder, then carnage is pretty much mandatory (the speed boost at the start means the difference between win and loss on some maps with equally strong teams....eg Civil War in rated is frequently won by taking snow a few seconds earlier than the other team and getting the 1 extra cannon shot off) When really well geared (optimized WH), Rage is very effective, especially if there are decently geared, rage specced jugs on your team too.

  13. You wouldn't want to completely stack power items or your crit chance would go right down as well. I'm personally working on a more balanced loadout which still requires Narrowed Hatred to achieve its stats. Replacing the following slots with adept enhancements or deft mods... chest enh and mod gloves mod legs enh boots mod both sabers mod It'll end up with around 30% crit, 75% crit dam, 103% accuracy, 150pts more bonus damage over straight WH which is significant when coefficients are applied.
  14. I've seen a post which describes the minimum and maximum damage formulas for 2 handed attacks (shown below). Ability Damage Min = ( AmountModifierPercent + 1 ) * MainHandMin + ( AmountModifierPercent + 1 ) * OffHandMin * 0.3 + Coefficient * DamageBonus + StandardHealthPercentMin * StandardHealth Ability Damage Max = ( AmountModifierPercent + 1 ) * MainHandMax + ( AmountModifierPercent + 1 ) * OffHandMax * 0.3 + Coefficient * DamageBonus + StandardHealthPercentMax * StandardHealth If I were making a simulator which includes a random damage generator, would I just have to generate random numbers between the minimum and maximum weapons values and also between the standardhealthpercentmin and max if they are different for each ability? For flurry abilities such as ravage which do an offhand, main-hand, then both hands attack, do you need to exclude the appropriate hands for each individual attack in the flurry from the formula when calculating all 3 hits?
  15. You do need it once you start ripping accuracy mods and replacing with power surge mods. If you power stack every possible WH item in your inventory and take Narrowed Hatred, you still end up with 99.5% accuracy.

  17. Carnage is an awesome fight finisher. I wait and keep my eye on enemies all around to see which ones have been fighting for 30 seconds or so before I jump on them. By this time, they are likely to have used all their knock-backs, defence cd's and stuns .... this is when you want to drop the gore, ravage scream bomb on them. Go the guy on 3/4 health, not the one on full health (unless its a marked healer)

  19. Exactly what I'm doing.... Using vindicator glove mod and force mystic glove enh.... Bonus damage 607 will be very nice for massacre spam and 79.5% crit damage.... Scream is auto crit too on carnage. Acc on carnage gets a 6% boost.
  20. People play carnage for the burst damage. Doing lots of dot damage per round is well and good, but the objective or damaging people is to kill them. Anni gives healers time to mitigate the damage you do to their team mates.... Carnage doesn't. There 's also the perks too... Speed and an extra ranged root. Teams with a carnage mara get the huttball first. Healers say it themselves that anni takes a lot longer to take them down. With carnage I often take bad healers out in 4-5 seconds with most of that damage arriving within a 2 second window. As for the op, I don't bother watching for execute as I always gore before scream or ravage....gore's damage is not worth the 10% boost and sceam is not worth it without gore.
  21. There is also the item changes which offset this a little though. We can now carry 2 100+ power relics and add power and str augments to more items which increases bonus damage significantly. Yeah I tried the combo mentioned above and HOLY COW healers go down quick now. I've found my new favourite spec.
  22. - Don't open with Charge if you can help it, save it for after their stun - Use Crippling slash early and keep it refreshed - Camo when they root you, move away and line you up for a big shot - Learn which stuns are bad and which are just annoying, use unleash on the bad ones where they can hit you a number of times while you're stunned. - Get out of LOS until charge or camo are off CD if they have a good range on you oops didnt read the lvl 20 bit ....   23. Its the relic change. We used to be able to pop defence during opponent burst phases, now its all higher sustained dps with no burst (from items and adrenals). All those little filler attacks people didn't use during their burst rotation are hitting with a higher bonus damage, crit chance and crit damage now. Probably a lot of people who had lots of credits are augmenting as well. Need to look into using your defensive buffs efficiently as well as the warzone defence adrenal.
  24. Hmm, I actually have not tried this >< though I wouldn't think you'd get your money's worth as you'd only get off 2 or 3 massacres before gore ran out on its new duration.
