Yeah unfortunately you don't have many options... I'm on Vulknar Highway and the 50 bracket is awesome, short waits, frequent games. I think Bioware needs to consolidate the low pop servers (they opened with too many tbh). That will help. I would rather them do that first before cross server.

You know I think MMOs nowadays open with WAY to many servers and should start small and add as needed, INstead they open with a ton, people get spread out and servers that are light have issues. If they merge, I dont view it as the game dying, I view it as consolidating their WAY to many servers and making everyones gameplay better.

Yeah it's not bad on Vulknar Highway either... get an ops group going, go in, pvp, get kills.

QFT ... people who can't just enjoy a game and must "earn" something for playing something they supposedly "have fun" doing is the reason pvp is in the state it's in. If ur on a pvp server and like to pvp, then you should just like to fight other players. Item grinding is a pve thing.

Imagine what it takes reps to complete it? Then take that 1hour your spent and place it somewhere uncomfortable.

The penalty would be enough to keep people there, however you'd have to make the distinction between people choosing to leave and disconnects. If my internet goes out and I get penalized, I'm going to be pissed.

Um yea... quite a bit actually. What lvl are you that you've NEVER won?!

Maybe what they should do is take all of these light severs that people complain of long wait times and break them up and fill in the gaps of the other servers to balance to pops.

Then create another currency that's collected purely by Open world kills anywhere in the game... Let the player base decide where to gather and start a conflict. Telling us where to go for open world pvp, is not open world pvp.

Yeah well, you got some people saying OMG I got 10 lvls in an hour, others saying I got my alt from 1-60 in a few hours, others saying turrets giving 2k valor a kill and then you got people saying they spent all night there and only got 2 lvls. There is ALOT of discrepancy as to what exactly the issue was out side of spawn camping and getting valor of reps cycling in not knowing any better... I've also heard the turrets gave valor, then all of a sudden didn't, then I heard they never did. So yes, without proof it's hard for anyone to take action. Taking action purely by reading the forums is quite possibly the dumbest thing anyone could do. Due to the fact of the large amounts of trolls on MMO forums.

They can't because it never happened. Trolls created panic and every forum rat jumped on the bandwagon. Now people are believing the hype with no real proof and cancelling / calling game dead / qq'ing non-stop because of it. It's laughable... What we know happened: Bioware made pvp on Illum kill based, but didn't make sanctuaries so people got spawn camped. Yes it got incredibly annoying and yes Imps got more valor than reps mainly because of pop imbalances, but nothing to the extent most these trolls believe.

Couple of things ... 1. Still waiting to see irrefutable proof of HUGE valor gains in a short period of time. So what people are talking about it on the internet... NO ONE has yet been able to show proof and more than likely it's all just hype and pot stirring. 2. They fixed it. Too bad it wasn't on your time table. If your pissed about the time it took, it's probably because you believe the "Hype" that has yet been proven. 3. This is FAR from the worst MMO or MMO developers. Just cause they are the most recent in your mind, doesn't make them the worse. The people that say that, I'm 99% sure you said that about Blizzard at one point. 4. Imps - don't talk smack to rep players complaining about class imbalance and how pop imbalance sucks. Alot of their class "qq" is legit and the pop issue can be annoying too. If the situation was reversed, you'd be the first ones posting. 5. It was one day, it's over, even if said valor gains were true. Most the 50s will be there in a few weeks and it's all for not anyway. Get over it. /nerdragequitters just amuse me. 6. Those that are quitting: Have fun in GW2, can't wait to read their boards and see you complaining about class imbalance and how bad the pvp is. I'm seeing a pattern here...

Pvp forums are such a joke... nothing but qq and empty threats of unsubbing. Hunorous. I play rep / on an imbalanced server / dont mind at all. I play the game to have fun and cause i enjoy it.

Which will also be spammed with qq posts and gw fails posts all day long like every other mmo out there... cant wait. Todays mmo players will never be happy with a new mmo. Ever.

In my opinion open pvp is dead in mmos mainly because they funnel u into areas in order to do so. Open world pvp should happen anywhere and across all planets. To me illum is just another wz... why not make an open world pvp currency thaf u only get while killing anywhere in the world outside of a wz. Make it players within 10 lvls award the currency to avoid gankfests. This way it feels way more like open world and way more at war if a imp group starts terrorizing anchorhead a rep group can hwad to defend it... make the best pvp come from this currency. Sure u need to take in consideration unbalanced pops, but at least ur actually engaging in open world, people have reason to do it and u arent forcing them into a badly designed "game". Its up to thefactions to get things going. Just a thought.
