  1. My friend, you are the one that needs to wake up... Define all these successful well-oiled MMO's!? Please ... then let's compare how long they've been out. I assume WoW is in there somewhere and let me help you remember that when WoW was 1.5 months old it was COMPLETE TRASH littered with bugs... This is just flat out incorrect, as a matter of fact they do a really good job at listening to us and trying to fix / implement things we would like to see. Sorry it's not on your time table, but they've done a lot in a short amount of time. You just contradicted yourself, if it has fallen on deaf ears then why was it attempted to be fixed?! I can say I personally have not had a win issue since the patch, all accounted for. The fact is this game IS GOOD. It doesn't live up to those who expect perfection at launch and shortly after ... and to them I say good luck in your hunt. It's going to be a LONG one. I'm sure this isn't your first post like this on a MMO's forum.
  2. Just remember less than 3% of the population posts on these boards and half them were never serious about this game anyways and it's just another stop on their game hopping marathon looking for the utopia of MMOs (which they'll never find). So don't let the trolls affect you... yes there are issues, yes there are things I wish were better developed. But overall it's a solid game with good content that will only get better.
  3. god these forums are laughable ... the amount of freak out is enjoyable to read. Good lord people...
  4. Granted that is true... but how is that problem different from any other MMO or how could Bioware fix that? Everyone wants the best of all worlds and no one can deliver that.
  5. Because I like the game and have fun pvping ... also the guild I'm in has a lot of great people and are fun to play with. On top of that this game is 1.5 months old and they are still working out launch woes. MMO'ers nowadays are WAY too impatient. Have fun game hopping (you are not a professional MMOer, you are a professional game hopper). GW2 huh? because that pvp is awesome? It's a bolster buff to the Nth degree INCLUDING gear! Wow, fun! You don't even need to progress through gear, it's handed to you! Kind of nullifies all the "Gear is too easy to get now" / "what do I do now that all my gear has been gotten" arguments huh? Have fun in that pool of suck.
  6. Ok ... lets be real for a second I've read a lately about the lack of open world pvp and yes I'll agree that the questing locations not overlapping enough between factions does suck, but world pvp can still exist. A lot of threads compare open world pvp to what WoW USED TO HAVE. Here is the reality, if you liked that (remember there was no reward for it back then), then go out and make it happen here! Get a group together go to Alderaan, Tat, Hoth or Voss (that's where I encountered the most Imps) and unleash hell on a couple of imp bases. Do you really need an invitation from Bioware to make world pvp happen!? My guild gets groups together and does this all the time, it's a ton of fun and fun is why we play the game. I really can't comprehend why it's so hard to get this player base off the damn fleet and doing something.
  7. So explain this to me... you hit lvl cap, get the geared out and then get mad that there is nothing else to do? I'm sorry, but how is this different from any other MMO? There is ALWAYS going to be some sort of "end" until the next batch of content. What game were you playing that there are endless tiers of gear to work towards? Espcially with a 1.5 month old game. There is a lot to do. You can pvp, since apparently you are a pvper, but I guess you only pvp for the gear (sigh). You could run flashpoints and ops... yeah maybe you don't need anything from there... but you can still play the game for, I don't know... fun. Have fun game hopping to the next game where you reach max lvl, gear out, complain and then rinse repeat.
  8. I can't believe you took time to write this ... you believe RNG > token/purchase system? How did you "earn" that gear any harder? Because you were lucky?
  9. LOL you said EARNED it ... didn't know getting lucky in a RNG system took skill. Good job bud! Really good job!

    Premades OP

Sigh .... make friends, do the same. Your tears are yummy.
  11. Correct, there definitely other things to advance, but nothing really that affects your character in terms of progression. Hopefully Legacy will work similar to this idea. We'll see. I hope they don't drop the ball with it.
  12. LOL I'm all for your last suggestion! Agreed, It's not about breaking the game or making things overpowered. Just a way to increase your effectiveness in different areas and have an extra incentive / reward for doing all aspects of the game. Essentially any EXP you gain at 50 would go to it. Quests you left behind while leveling. Mob kills in Flashpoints / Ops and exp gained in WZs.
  13. News flash ... in an MMO you work to advance your character. To advance your character you have to gain something. In order to gain something you must do something. Move on troll.
  14. Seemed to work in WoW .... I hate WoW now, but in Vanilla WoW it was awesome.
  15. I've seen a lot of posts about bored Battlemaster's and people asking what to do now if all the gear has been had. One thing I really liked about EQ was the Alternate Advancement system. Once you are top lvl the experience you normally would have gained while leveling is now applied to your AA level. With each AA level you gained a skill point. These skill points can then be used in a AA talent tree. There were several different trees, one pertaining to you base class, one for your advanced class and then one for your basic character. You could do things from increasing the effectiveness of your talents to increasing your base run speed or even out of combat health regen. Each tree had a cap on how many talents you could put in it that would increase with each expansion. Nothing was game breaking or made skills godlike, but gave just slight bump to them. I think this will help with people being able to advance their character without having to dangle the gear carrot in their face. You would still have an incentive to pvp and run flashpoints / ops even after your gear has been had. just a thought.

  17. Granted this does suck, how exactly can Bioware be held responsible for it? They can't control if the factions decide to do this... this can happen ANYWHERE in open world pvp if there is a gain to be had. The only alternative is to change the ilum quests or eliminate them completely. Either way if you are going to benefit from open world kills there is NO WAY to stop people from doing this. Bioware cannot be held responsible if the players decide to organize this way. It's the same if the 2 factions decided to swap WZ wins. Nothing can be done.

    PvP Balance please

Just keep pvping and get your gear ... a few pieces makes a world of difference. Que times are long enough for lvl 50s on some servers, narrowing that field is a horrible idea. Everyone has had to go through the "growing pains" or being a newbie 50. It's the nature of the beast.
  19. I actually like the random wz selection... i get a good mix. Allowing u to select ur warzone isnt going to fix the imps issue with always getting huttball... i also think the deserter debuff is coming
  20. Because arenas killed wow pvp and are a horrible idea... im all for them adding some other form of pvp in this game, but not that. Also they nedd to fix the current issues first

    Sage Wars

2 things .... 1. Why couldn't you have been an OP!??!!? 1 less op > 1 less scoundrel. 2. You SHOULDN'T be able to kill a healer 1v1, I know you're are used to stunning / instakill everyone but come on... they aren't going to kill you either. You're team should be focus firing the healers down then cleaning up the rest.
  22. Ok ....last night.... And what imperial welfare program do you keep talking about? Granted there is some balancing that needs to be done, but I'm not sure I follow.
  23. New 50s dont need more balance, they just need to grind some gear... you'll get in more and more cues with better geared 50s and win. Worst case you get some WZ comms and buy a few bags... it's not hard to get gear.
  24. I don't know what you are talking about? PVP is actually better from a performance stand point in WZs and with a few pieces of gear it really makes a difference (obviously unless you are going against full BMs lol). About Ilum ... I just did my weekly yesterday and was not in ops leaders group.
