  1. When I returned to SWTOR the first time when syth wyrm was merged with correlian run I noticed all characters except for my Jedi Knight that required a name change had the option, however my Jedi for some odd reason was given some random name by the game I had no say in the matter? Since I was not ready to come back at that time and honestly was unsure if I would be back at all I did not make a issue out of it. I recently however re-subbed and would like the opportunity to adjust my name on that characater since I was never offered that option. I contacted CS via a ticket and for whatever reason they are unable to help, I have noticed people on the forums having some luck with nice GMs so am hoping I may have the same luck?
  2. Actually they are forcing him to make a choice since they are gutting his servers.
  3. Bioware is not giving the people on these transfer from servers much choice either, when I started at release Sith Wyrm was a healthy server now we are being gutted and to add insult to injury people who want to move from the ghost town to whatever server they pick for us lose all our names also? How this should have been handled is no matter if your moving to or from a server, your name reservation should have been based on creation date that would have been fair (imho)!
  4. For anyone worried about losing their name on the server they want to move to I am guessing your name was already taken on that server? Should you be really lucky and your name is still available, can't you make a placeholder character with that name until yours can be moved? Honestly they should have had something in place that whoever had the name the longest would have had priority to keep the name, with a restriction of having to be at least level 10 or something to qualify.
  5. I purchased the CE from amazon before the game released, and far as I am concerned got exactly what I expected and paid for!
  6. There is a difference between not wanting to play a mmo and quitting, versus cancelling your sub while waiting for things to be fixed etc. I would guess most people that have cancelled their subscriptions really enjoy the game but were waiting for 1.2 to release before deciding to resub. So for anyone that has cancelled but still has time on their subscription for all intensive purposes that is still considered a active subscription, the 30 day free etc promo should (ihmo) not require a player to pay for another month to qualify if all other conditions have been met. Unless you just have a few days you can't play from the time your account expires to the time the free 30 kick in? If that's the case then (OP stop whining!) That being said this was very nice of Bioware/EA to do in the first place, I honestly hope it helps the game get more players.
  7. Some of us actually took our time with alts and alternate story's and enjoyed the game, its not about who rushed or did not rush its about showing your current customer base they are all important not just the 50s. Happy for yourself and your wife that you both made it to 50 wtg and grats on the 30 days!
  8. What would have been the harm in giving this to everyone who account is still active?
  9. Op can't they are closing down any thread that is not happy about this 30 day fiasco...yours gets special treatment apparently.
  10. Thanks for the free 30 days and etc ...oh wait I was not level 50 so like many others I get nada, gee thanks! Teach me to have alts and take my time playing...
  11. Because not everyone got this so called "freebie" hence the slap in the face part.
  12. Even if you cancelled and your account had not expired yet you still qualify, guildie received the email and he had cancelled.
  13. That's really a shame its only for level 50s and makes no sense they would restrict it like that, many of us have been here since launch been playing alts while taking our time enjoying the content. Grats to all you 50s guess they really want you all to stay, the rest of us however can go fly a kite!
  14. So? I honestly could care less about wow....and wow released when there was perhaps 3 if that other major mmos. This market is much different and far more competitive reason your wow does so well even now is 60% (imho) of its player base is most likely gold farmers? Point being most mmos that have been released in recent years even ones that are doing well by todays standards, lower their purchase prices within a few months of release to keep the player base momentum.
