  1. Sure, it's cheap and kinda lame, but it's a great addition to the game imo. It's a little minigame to enjoy that will grow as the game heads into the future.
  2. What's with music playing so rarely in the game? Star Wars is known for its epic, memorable tracks, and it's shocking how little it has been utilized in SWTOR. The only time I have heard music played is when my long cooldown Juggernaut ability is used, which just seems awkward. World of Warcraft has a beautiful soundtrack, as did EVE Online and Final Fantasy XI. Every time I hear one of the tracks on those games I am reminded of the good times I had during my journey. SWTOR, on the other hand, probably has great music, but you never hear it. So what's with this design decision?
  3. Despite my initial impressions, I am extremely impressed with what I've seen from Operatives. They look cool, have lots of utility, and are flexible. Quite frankly, it's the only class I would consider re-rolling. It's extremely surprising that it's arguably he least played AC on Empire. We need to raise awareness!
  4. Honest question: do you click your abilities? A class like sniper is very time-crucial, and clicking abilities really makes quick target acquisition to damage rotation too time consuming.
  5. I avoided Synthweaving once it dawned on me that at maximum level it wouldn't be particularly useful other than for money. Artificing and Biowhatever have lots of utility.
  6. Because people in this day and age just like to complain. The level of expectation from everyone is astronomical, and could NEVER be achieved. WoW might be the most popular MMO, but even to this day is littered with children screaming that the game is garbage and has imbalanced. Protip: read the forums but skip threads that look negative. I find them to be absolutely non constructive and off the rocker.
  7. Same thing here. I have a really good rig and I get stutter when I move my mouse sometimes. It's mind-boggling because it makes no difference what my graphic settings are at. Well, actually, I love 50FPS with shadows enabled...
  8. Leveling at level 15 is serious business. I despise this thread.
  9. Tanks are more appealing. DPS is more appealing. Healing is currently not particularly strong, especially compared to other games like Rift and WoW.
  10. I'm glad this thread exists. I refuse to go healer now. Merc. DPS it is.
  11. What does the typical fight look like for a Bounty Hunter?
  12. What else is new? Did you really expect any MMO to have a balanced PvP experience launch? I'm getting really sick of all of the whining. Go back to FPS or something.
  13. Crucible Pits is about 1:1.25 which is one of the best ratios on any PvP server.
  14. Balance has been an issue in every MMO ever that allows classes. You must be new to the genre.
  15. I was recommended to roll on this server for its balance and strong PvP community, but have seen no guilds from the server. I'm dying to join a guild but can't find anything. Where are they?
  16. From my experience The Crucible Pits is the most balanced server. Lots of people and strong balance between factions. I'm loving it.
  17. I'm beginning to believe that no other MMO developer will ever manage to match Blizzard with their WoW animations. They aren't perfect, but combat is so crisp, clean, and accurate. It's what makes it impossible to ever truly quit the game. SWTOR definitely could have used more work on its animations. I'm a bit surprised after such a large budget going into the game to be honest.
  18. Using shared models makes designing gear a LOT easier.
  19. Agreed. The only smooth one I can think of was Rift, but it obviously wasn't nearly as popular as WoW or SWTOR.
  20. Amen. It's a lose lose situation. On one hand they could, and did, do waves which makes people sit around twirling their thumbs and smashing their keyboards on forums. On the other hand they could have let tons of people in and cause massive queues, chaos, potential crashes, and instability. The best thing this world could use right now is more hobbies to distract people from video games I guess.
  21. So there are other people on this board who understand logic. Wow. And here I was thinking I was the only one that thinks that this is a smooth launch so far.
  22. Every SWTOR forum I've been to is just full of complaints instead of quality discussion. I do think the way they've handled this is pretty unprofessional, but the complaints are way overboard.
