  1. I'm guessing that most people who are complaining about the length of time these fixes and tweaks are taking have never played an MMO before.

Bioware could take 2-3 years to fix these bugs and they would still be significantly more on top of things than most MMO developers. Be grateful that they have acknowledged the issues and have indicated that they are working on them, that is much more than you should be expecting.

  2. So... why have gear upgrades at all, even for pve? I mean it's all about skill right? That would be a fun game, right? This is an RPG, as with all other RPGs like ever gear is important and should matter. If you're not happy with gear being a factor go play an FPS like MW or COD... oh wait, you level/gear up there too, OHNOES!

PvE is about roleplaying which means that the character's skills are supposed to determine the outcome. Character skills are represented via stats.

PvP is about action which means that the player's skills are supposed to determine the outcome.

Blending the two almost always leads to both PvE and PvP fans hating the bastard child.

  3. Sig says it all. But what can you expect, of course the folks benefiting from the imbalance will come up with 1001 reasons not to change it...

Where exactly did I state that I want the game to be imbalanced? In fact, I very specifically stated that I wanted balance and bug fixes, but in a way that retains the flavor of different classes for different factions.

Going with WoW's "we are totally different, but only because we have a red flag and you have a blue flag" model drains all the flavor from even having a faction. You may as well lump everyone into the same "happy imerial alliance of republics" and be done with it.

  4. I truly enjoy pvp but there is no reward for it in this game and with the roll system in place for rewards I see no point in continuing with my subscription.

I thought the reward for PvP was the satisfaction of a job well done that you receive when you have dominated your opposition? I mean, PvP exists in all kinds of games and most of them don't even have gear so what is the reward in those games?

  5. PvE is about roleplaying, and as such your success and failure should be based on your character's stats.

PvP is about action and response times, and therefore your success and failure should be based on the player's ability to read the situation and play the right hand.

I believe that every player in a PvP warzone should be equalized (by class, of course) so that their gear means nothing. If you want expertise to boost your damage, it should be exclusively through stims since knowing when to use them is a player skill, not a character stat.
