  1. Actually WoW added 2,000,000 subs after they added cross server LFG. They lost those subs when they listened to the wannabes and made their heroics harder for cataclysm (even though it was actually the gear reset that did it). That act made it hazardous to use the LFG and that's what cost them some subs. Though I believe most of those lost subs were because of the shrinking content Blizzard was releasing.
  2. I was agreeing with you, we need a sarcasmica font. GW2 is a small party repetition grinder, it looks to be a pretty wretched product. Fun game play, but at the end of the day you just spin your wheels.
  3. Small party repetition grinders are AWESOME! I don't know why you philistines don't understand the awesomeness of doing the EXACT SAME THING for years on end!
  4. It's common "knowledge" among the WoW hate cult that Blizzard lies about their subscriber numbers. They also know that this "Korea" is a fabrication by Blizzard's accountants to confuse the IRS into taking more money from them than they should. They lie on their taxes every year and commit multiple counts of securities fraud just too look more successful than they are, even though this strategy costs them millions in taxes paid on inflated revenue claims. Most of their recent losses were in Asia though, China specifically. Unless they lied about that so they could trick the IRS into taking extra taxes as well.
  5. I just realised a Kleenex box cozy can play TOR. Game is E-Z-Mode!
  6. Oh you silly man. Like knowing dual spec is coming would make any difference at all.
  7. The Older Gamers are some good folks, I can see why you would want to stick around with them.
  8. I quit WoW to twiddle my thumbs a long time ago! I deserve some form of reward. Perhaps a biscuit.
  9. Heh 60,000 subscribers were still paying before NGE "killed" SWG and that was what Sony would admit, let's not forget they have a history of exaggerating subscriber numbers for their awful products. The internet is a strange place, a terrible, broken game launches and everybody quits because it's a truly terrible effort at software. Yet if the company that is haemorrhaging money running the terrible product tries to change it and resuscitate it's fading form all those internet crazies who had already quit start screaming about the wonders of the old version of the game that so very few people could stomach. I don't know what the Kool-Aid they handed out in the SWG fans line-up contained, but the people who drank it wound up with all kinds of crazy. There will never be a sequel, Lucas won't fund another catastrophe like that. They spent enough time being a laughing stock over the first SWG and most of their efforts at electronic entertainment since.
  10. Just put a permanent quick travel node on the corner of your map that says "ship". Problem solved. That way I can head to the hangar to admire my ship once in a while when it strikes my fancy.
  11. Coming soon to a TOR forum near you: "So it crashes, MMOs are never done."
  12. You have just fallen into the trap of yet another internet dog barking about how (insert popular thing here) is uncool. Trust me on this, you want to ignore him.
  13. The big difference is that in PvP the bosses look the exact same as the trash until you aggro them.
  14. What really hurts is the concentration of truth in there.
  15. Did that. Didn't work, TOR still went sideways, though not a crash in my case and a second press sorts it out.
  16. Customer service maybe? The braying and neighing of the internet livestock over server merges should be secondary to customer service. F2P creates a stigma around the drooling idiots of the internet as well, but Turbine and Sony comfort themselves over their failure by cuddling up with all of that freemium cash their failures have brought in.
  17. I really don't care if this game is a giant in the industry or another notch in the hull of the HMS Failboat. I'm having fun. However: My heart goes out to people on dead servers, your only options are to re-roll or make enough noise to force EA to do something about it. Yeah that means you're going to have to suffer the slings and arrows of the great unwashed on these forums, but sometimes you have to be willing to take a hit or ten to be heard.
  18. I get all kinds of odd behaviour when I hit MB5 over the UI as well. That's my push to talk key. Edit: This is the sort of thing that gets worked out in an extensive open beta. Oh wait.
  19. I hear demanding an unavailable, unattainable statistic is the most common last resort of the lost. Holy crap there I go again, I apologise. We don't know what Light, Standard, Heavy and Holy Crap This Place is Jumpin' even mean; so arguments fuelled by either set of "statistics" are far to easy to refute for anyone to waste time with.
  20. This conjured a gross, yet completely hilarious mental image for me.
