If you had any interest in information or knowledge at all, you could fact check everything I said. But let's be completely honest with ourselves, you don't.

Step one: Demand a nearly unattainable statistic. Step two: Dismiss any source of information that does not reinforce you perception. Step three: Achieve blissful self-delusion. Provided Xfire's sample group (Xfire users that own TOR) hasn't mysteriously completely changed, their metric is actually pretty valid. Though by no means would it be a pin-point accurate representation of this game's population as a whole it is a valid indicator of trending. I don't think this game is "losing players in droves" by any stretch, but there are less players now than at the beginning of February and there were less at the end of January than at the beginning. That's according to Bioware's own nebulous Light, Standard, Heavy system being handily tracked by a website. That's totally normal for any MMO save two: EQ and WoW. More importantly it is now the universal rule for all P2P MMOs including WoW. The bottom line is that people are ending up on servers with very sparse player populations. It would be a nice gesture for Bioware to come up with a way for those players to make their way to more populated servers if they chose to take that opportunity.

I'm sorry, but if you bought anything that says "Collector's" on it and expected it to be anything other than a chintzy rip off I have a stunning suspension bridge for sale. The one thing you can do to guarantee something will never be collectible is to write "Collector's" somewhere on the package.

Well, I won't get into sooth saying or anything. But if this game had hit 3,000,000 subs we and everyone else would have heard about it. At length.

If they took the fleet stations out the Empire players would have to spend their time in the land of six grey boxes, aka Kaas City. Coruscant received more love and attention than all of the Empire levelling zones put together. You could jam all of the empire into a plain blue room and they still wouldn't roll Republic though. This game has a clear cut bad guy and that's what attracts people to the empire, not shiny floors or red lighting.

In Bioware's defence; they have to watch what they say. If they speak openly of dwindling server populations that will directly affect EA's share price because the stock market is a paranoid, skittish place these days.

OK that sucks. I've watched my server go from 300-130 or so on fleet and feeling it was a bit dead, but 20? Ouch.

Narrative style is an important choice, personally I've found that Bioware has become more and more heavy handed with their stories since they grew big enough to voice everything. I feel like I'm increasingly playing Bioware's character and it kind of takes me out of the game a little. They still tell a fine story, I would just like to be part of it is all.

The Republic get cool laser railings, a fountain with real plants, actual coverings over the tables in their pub, and attractive signs on their station areas. The Empire get to use airlocks all marked with a picture of a republic ship. It's pretty clear that Bioware favours the faction I don't play.

If everybody dies once that's 10,000 hours of playing a game an not having fun that's been rung up. Multiply that by 10, 20, 200, or even 1000 over the course of levelling to 50 and a little inconvenience becomes a massive pool of wasted time. It's the little things that add up. Also: Contrary to popular belief on the these forums attention to detail is not a "waste of resources".

I don't think EA or Activision for that matter really panic over the respect of the Internet's unwashed. They both have businesses to run and investors to placate, the barking and hissing of the e-hipsters is probably the least influential thing in their worlds.

Sandboxes and Themeparks in their respective pure forms both kind of suck. Though my favourite MMO is Rift which is a pure themepark, but it only stays as my favourite because of how amazingly fast Trion churns out quality content. They could relax a little if they would build up their play world with some sand. Of course they have already said they plan to do just that. So yeah, I don't care for either one when they don't include the other.

Both inquisitors fall nicely into the the fun dialogue set up too. Playing dark side your character comes across as such an arrogant ****. Some of the smart assed comments that come out of my inquisitor still surprise me. Not to mention the best canned response in the game: "YAWN".

The logistics of staffing, recording, editing, and then placing all of that must have been a complete nightmare.
