  1. Ironically, the few times I've gone against pre-mades, it does seem like most of the members usually aren't that good in 1 on 1 confrontations... which they usually try to avoid. Maybe they're so used to playing as a team, they've lost skills in 1 on 1 combat.
  2. Why is it anytime someone mentions a bracket exclusively for pre-made teams to queue into, there are always frantic desperate cries of terror against such a mechanic? They really that scared of not having an advantage over PUGs? ps. lemme guess -- someone will pretend it's "too hard to do or code or implement" or some other such nonsense?
  3. Why are premades to afraid to play exclusively against other premades? They're not? Then make that bracket and end this discussion.
  4. While TOR is much, much better, it was the same thing with Dragon Age 2. BW PR + fanboi zealotry = blissful ignorance. Now the game (DA2) is pretty much a joke of the RPG world to all but the most brown-nosed sycophants. TOR won't go F2P anytime soon though... hell, STO lasted 2 yrs before going F2P and that game is as shallow as a mud puddle LOL! Also, due to the investment, I think BW will be forced to add things, weather they like it or not. (especially on the PvP side of things; intentional queuing, nerf Biochem, pre-made brackets, etc)
  5. Hate it when I see it, but it's truly apt here: "learn to play." I'm a Merc. I don't even bother firing more than 2 (usually only 1) Tracer at a time, cause I already know it'll get interrupted, the target will move out of the way, or they will hit me with something big and start unloading on me while I'm stuck doing the Tracer animation. (people claim it's instant, but it does take a bit of time from keystroke to missile hit/damage registered) And if a melee gets in on me (from spamming Tracer), how will I get off Fusion Missile? It'll definitely get interrupted via lightsaber to the face. Tell me what server you're on. Sounds like Mercs get away w/ Tracer spam there LOL. (I still wouldn't do it, as I find spamming any 1 move over and over boring and distasteful)
  6. There have been the same 2 lvl 12's on Illum since just after launch. (Giradda the Hutt server) BW doesn't care.
  7. Wow, 6 medals? What a joke. I wonder if these people who use the Biochem crutch actually think of themselves as "good?"
  8. Many of the TOR PvP crowd aren't the cream of the crop of humanity. BW should have had brackets in before launch. Hell, if Champions Online can have brackets every 10 lvls, TOR should have had them in as well.
  9. I'm 100% PvE until I hit max lvl and grind out the best PvE gear. Then I'm 100% PvP as my end-game content. I support this premise. I support being able to get equally good gear with either PvE or PvP, assuming "equal amounts" of time and effort put into either. Oh, and screw Expertise and Biochem.
  10. Meh, I was just in a Huttball match with some clown who had so much stacked potions etc., 4 people were laying into him and couldn't kill him. PvP is a near joke at this point.

    Nerf tracer missile

As a Merc, I only ever use 1, maybe 2 Tracers in a row. If I am able to use more (which I still won't), either the target is distracted, or sucks.
  12. Agreed. We should be able to : -- choose which WZ we queue for -- play Empire vs Empire in any of the WZ matchs that Repub's don't fill
  13. This is what I was thinking. I was also planning on doing this, (swapping mods to raise my Crit %) if I suffer through Huttball enough to get PvP gear, that is.
  14. Also, what class/gear are you looking at? I'm looking at the BH PvP gear. It's Crit Stats are crap, especially in comparison to all the other stats.
  15. When I compare (hover cursor) over the PvP gear, every single item has far less Crit stats than what I'm already wearing. And what about the other stats? So PvP gear is supposed to be the best gear in the game? Or is there higher level PvE gear I'm somehow unaware of?
  16. I notice that the PvP vender gear apparently outranks all PvE gear stats. Except for Critical Hit chance... which seems often to be much, much lower on PvP gear. (I'm a Merc, fully equipped w/ "PvE" gear ~ 38% Crit chance. I was looking at fleet PvP vender for the comparisons) So... by getting full PvP gear, ALL STATS will be much higher, including the absurdly OP Expertise. Yet my Crit Chance drops? Why? Why is Crit Chance "PvE?" And why is everything else so much higher than the highest mods we can get via PvE. (at least that I've seen) What am I missing here?
  17. I really enjoyed the game, but I doubt I re-sub. Maybe come back in a few months, try other class story-lines. I've maxed just about every possible thing on my Merc... all lvl 23 Purples on all equipment, Rakata earpieces, etc., Ship has pretty much all Purples, run most all FP's and Heroics. It was fun, but all that leaves is PvP. And I hate Huttball. With a passion. If we could play other Imperials in Voidstar and Civil War, I'd stay subbed. But since we can't, and I don't want to roll an alt so soon, I'll probably cancel for now. STO went F2P. I've got 3 Admirals there. Plus 3 toons on Fallen Earth, and 5 maxed on Champions Online. Will mess around with them for a month or two, then see if TOR has fixed some of it's stuff.
  18. This works fine in Champions Online. I'm guessing TOR has a few more players. If CO can do it, why can't TOR? Not if it can be Empire vs Empire, just like Huttball is. Matches would start nearly instantly, just like they do in Huttball.

    One button classes.

I'm a Merc. I can't remember a single time in any PvP match that I've ever fired more than 2 Tracers in a row. I usually only fire 1, before going into several other rotations. Spamming any 1 move is boring. If I had to spam any 1 move to win, I'd quit that class.
  20. If I could have rolled a BH who works for the Republic, I would have. 10,000 LS. The Pure!
  21. The directing and composition on the cut-scenes is pretty safe, run-of-the-mill stuff. The camera usually just cuts back and forth between medium and close-ups of your character, and whoever they're talking to. Yeah, not very memorable in and of itself.
