  1. Too bad, the real MMO of 2012 will make a kick back is FFXIV 2.0. I can't post a link that is for you to look. But anyone who read that should cry in tears seeing everything they wish for on a MMO is about to come true. the only problem is ...not many will have a machine to play the ultra eye candy of square enix.
  2. well bioware is pretty damn stupid in this matter. You have holegram in this game, You walk to talk to someone more then you even use it. Star was exist in a world where there is no mobile phones and people are pre-historic.
  3. sadly, each of the story line aren't even half as rich as dragon age. Most story cutscene/gameplay last less then 5min per part. If each planet you have to do 3 quest for your story, and there is 20 planets? that's 300 mins of game play per character which mean 5 hours per character.
  4. True MMO players are only a small percentage. While rest are just fanboys/single players lovers. Anything before Wow are very much the description of a MMO, but anything after is not. MMO should be about having players around and playing with you. Star wars tor does not. You can play so many level, you might not even encounter i person even there to steal your kills. Same goes with WoW, these heroic/elite mob are just fabrication so you can join hands to fight, but the problem is not everyone have the same goal at that same exact moment. There is nothing MMO about these games. However wow did introduce 40mans raids at least which is neat. SWTOR isn't going that direction, it will stay as a large theme park and it shall. Nothing MMO about swtor anymore. I rather play games like FFXI or DAOC where i have to group together to level, at least i meet new faces whenever and wherever. Which story would you enjoy reading? a. A hero embarks on an adventure ALONE, never got help from anyone, never visit any TOWNS. He match into fighting a boss? SW:TOR is like that (of course, i don't count companion as your friend:P) b. A hero, call forth friends and ally, visit many towns in order to strengthen his party, living through life and death of companionship and eventually face off the last boss?
  5. i do agree lord zalse story is pretty funny as it turns out. There are few scenes at the end where you do see something get blow up.. like a satelite strike or you planet some bomb in queesh for planetary quest. But not exactly what i can go grab a popcorn and enjoy my victory cutscene.
  6. Well i expect the game have cut-scene even close to FFXIII. at least show me a cute girl dancing or something other then close-up watch the main character talks then close back and he shoot lightning with his fingers. I was expecting more action based like the cutscene we see in the beginning. I mean seriously at lease make the npc walks around when they talk or do something. I am talking about the cutscenes not dialog scenes too. It feels no achievement when i finish the story...my chr doesn't do much. Like fighting thantose all i saw is he fly up and down and get throw into a wall. Do some aerobatic lightning or something.
  7. I played through a sith sorc and commando so far, i found the cutscenes are all pretty dull so far. What i mean is there is nothing really action-packed or exciting and standout stuff from my story scenes. Best are the npc/my main does is draw a gun and shooting air or just stand still and shoot lightning with his finger at the target (target doesn't even get burn). Anyone want post some youtube link on some real action packed cutscenes beside standing there and talking? or point out which point in your class actually have action packed cutscene?
  8. I wouldn't call repeat the same map 100 times fun. Even the most sadistic person would simply go away. No more fun, when you repeat the same thing over and over. It is not fun when you lost sight of a goal and wandering aimlessly. That's where people quit. SWTOR offer nothing then reply the 3 warzone and several bugged close to impossible to complete end game flashpoint... all for "GEARS" once you obtain it, time to quit.
  9. this review is the most accurate to date. VAST world is USELESS when you only play it once a.k.a swtor. seriously, you think SWTOR's planet are bigger then SWG? Heck no. SWG's tatooine is about 4 times bigger then SWTOR's tatooine. and seriously people LFG TOOL does NOT HELP when you team sizes is 4 and you still need a damn healer/tank. which take 2 spot when 90% are DPS.
  10. it is because it belong to empire side and your server have 0 republic. Even on my server. I log in on my republic @ prime in home base ...55 players. I log on empire @ prime in home base... 300 players. i play on a heavy server with a QUEUE time of 15min.
  11. umm, i dare you to say the same to DC universe. 3 things to make DC universe a failure. 1. it DC universe! Superman, batman, flash, green lantern, who doesn't love those heroes? Heck, the fan base of DC universe should be twice if not MORE then star wars. 2. Its sony! I know Sony is crap but DC universe didn't go down hill because of Sony service, in fact it let DC universe to be one of the first CROSS platform game, ps3 and PC player bases. 3. Its DC + SONY... that combo ..normally would expect to be GREAT, its populate both side...but in fact it fails. How does this tie in with SWTOR? Seriously, go play DC universe for 3 days. You will understand and stand on my side of the arguement. 1. Bioware SWTOR is more likely a direct copy of DC universe MMO. How? Look at how those phases/flashpoint are set up. Look at how PVP is set up. Look at how both game got a "space station for "home base" and villian got a underware station for home base" The different is SWTOR is selling their game with ALL voice and DC is selling with JUST STORY/Flashpoints are voiced. 2. BIOWARE's takes on add enjoyment is .... ADDING MORE RAID CONTENT AND FLASHPOINT. Bad idea. 3. GEORGE LUCAS ENFORCE CONTROL ON THIS GAME, NOT BIOWARE. Thus limit creativity and limit bioware into adding thing that DOESN"T FIT IN the game.
  12. I can think of several games (i have played) have good things bioware should copy. 1. Asheron's call: copy the Monarchy system. Fit well in star wars when players can have apprentices and the apprentice can have apprentices or commando get trooper underling or BH get lackeys. 2. DAOC: copy the frontier PVP, seriously one of the best PVP game out there when you can raid enemy castle in an all out epic battle and raiding castles for the object actually give realms bonus! Fit well with star wars theme as well put a city raid map and do so! Illum fails..don't brother. 3. Anarchy online: I love the flying concept (like wow.) but i doubt bioware can even add that in. AO have "aliens attack player city" which is a really cool concept and afterward you can raid the mothership. 4. FFXI: Besiged!! the best concept of ALL MMORPG. On the server i played, besieged is always populated fully at every hours (because japanese play time, european and NA = 24 hours cycle) and towns get defend. I love the 700 players vs a seige of TONS of monster base on the level of seige it is on as it scale base on how many successful win. At level 9, the seige end in with world class bosses and a GIGANTIC boss of the army that raided the city. Definitely can be re-use in swtor! 5. SWG: please just add jump to lightspeed expansion in SWTOR, i love flying in space. 6. wow: 40man raid! or FFXI's 64 man raid would definitely be the greatest thing.
  13. this game bored vet like me to dead. i only love FFXI before Abyssia ..well i don't mind abyssia anyway. Bring back DAOC frontier raiding! (but the game still live anyway)
  14. DC universe also have like 1 million subscription at first. 3 month pass and it is already a dead game looking down for free-to-play. You think stars wars is any different from DC universe? beside the voiced quests and useless choices for choosing . the game is like a complete port over. I rather play DC universe, when i can fly at least.
