Ok, just checked, and YES, the "Vehicles" tab under P ('Abilities') is what I needed to look under. Amazing that no one in general chat knew this! (I kept messing with the "Basic Vehicle" icon, under bounty hunter skills) I wonder, how do non-CE players get a speeder? The only entry I had under 'Vehicles' was the STAP. Do they gotta buy one somewhere? ps. thnx for the input!

So it's a crafting skill, then? Good grief. I maxed Fallen Earth's crafting in 1.5 months. (that's bragging BTW) Yet TOR's crafting is still goofy and confusing to me. Items, upgrades, requirements, specialties, none of it makes sense and most isn't self-explanatory IMO. And I still haven't seen anyone in this thread say precisely and exactly how you get a speeder. PS. so you're saying that since I clicked on the STAP icon in my QuickSlot and it gave a message (couldn't read it fast enough, Chat window didn't relay it afterwards, but I remember it said [para] "that I 'had' the STAP now") that therefore, I have access to it... if I craft it? Even though I no longer have it in inventory or QuickSlot?

"P" for powers/abilities? Okay, yes, I access that frequently. It has the "basic training" for the speeder which I purchased. THAT DOES NOTHING. It does not allow for the speeder to spawn, etc. Does nothing.

I got NO warning... which made me think it was the same as removing a power/ability from your Quick-Slot (which gives no warnings either, obviously, since you're not 'losing' it) Yet when I looked in my inventory, the STAP item was gone. Excuse me while I go login and get to enjoy the experience of re-entering that security number. I bet that never get's old. /end sarcasm

I guess I'll try, but TBH, I've almost lost all faith at this point. I swear, aspects of this game seem to be made to be intentionally confusing, frustrating, or at least obscure.

There's a LOT in this game that is NOT intuitive. I'm a gamer, and have played a few MMO's. There's no way in hell casuals are gonna figure this stuff out. Heaven forbid things actually make sense. Hell, even finding the CE vender is an unnecessary annoyance. What kind of abnormal weirdo nerd makes stuff this way? ANYHOO.... I can't summon/buy my damn speeder/STAP. Tried looking in the chat window for the .5 second statement that popped up on what to do (after I bought the basic training) but of course, my Chat Window doesn't list such txt. (I thought that was standard in MMOs?) I'm lvl 25. Bought the 40,000 credit Basic Training speeder. Opened the CE email and took the STAP attachment. Tried clicking on both. Tried pulling both into quick-slots. (Basic wont' move from 'Abilites' window) Tried removing STAP icon from quick-slot, which apparently discarded STAP from my possession! (yeah, where's the warning window, like every legit MMO offers?) So how do I get a speeder? Basically, the only legit in-game thing of any value whatsoever from the CE, and I apparently just somehow discarded mine? sigh What a joke

Crappolla, if I knew this, I would have tried it! I'm changing that setting first thing when I log in here in a few minutes. In the "Bounty Hunter" game you could fly anywhere, but only in short bursts. I guess my jetpack aint up to the challenge!

While no where on that level, I find I still occasionally hit the "Block" button (from Champions Online) My new mantra: "There is no block in TOR! There is no block in TOR! There is no block in TOR!"

I wonder if we can trade stuff to alts? Could've sent it to my future Guardian! ps. I sure as hell hope we can trade w/ alts, otherwise, this crafting thing -- only 3 specialties -- is gonna force me to actually buy stuff from other people!

BW appropriately added knockback into many of the combat moves. This is fitting with the SW universe we've seen. BW even highlighted this in an old promo vid, showing a Jedi knocking thugs off a sail barge. However, did no one at BW ever forsee that such a TRAVESTY could occur??? There are so many easy ways to fix this. - Have any such loot automatically go into one's inventory. - Have the loot 'pulled' from any falling bodies, remaining on the ledge where it can be looted. - Hell, do like Fallen Earth, and send us an email with the item attached, as a "lost and found." It would have been my 2nd unique Purple. yeargh ps. I don't suppose a dev has a few minutes to look through the records and send me whatever Purple item that was? I was so overwhelmed with panic, I immediately lept off the ledge when this happened, just to make sure maybe I could live on the ledge, loot the purple, then jump off and die. Nope. EDIT: Sweet irony, I just got a third (or I guess, second) PURPLE item. BTW, my last purple, Boots, lasted from lvl 16-26. Got them towards the end of Dromand Kaas, wore them through Balmorra, Nar Shaada, and into Tatooine. Didn't out-level them fast at all.

Well, I can bind those keys with other keys... but not by themselves. No "Shift," but "Shift+2" works. So every time I click "Alt+F," I'm apparently also opening a Search window on my desktop. Which eventually opens through the game, causing the game to crash. Again, this wouldn't be a problem if I could simply bind Alt or Cap Lock or Shift, with no other keys. Well, let me log back into the crashed game and see if I died! (yeah, was in combat, trying to fire off my Flamethrower - Alt+F)

Okay, that's wierd... (and it's SERIOUSLY messing with my combat) Those keys work fine with other games (including MMOs) that I play. Wonder what the trouble could be?

Well, that kinda defeats the whole purpose, eh? Ctrl+1 isn't the same as Ctrl. And my increasingly geezerly hands like things to be simple. Like I said, the other MMO's I've played allowed for this. Not sure why TOR doesn't. BTW, are you saying then, that you can bind just the Ctrl key? Or Shift or Caps Lock or Alt?

As far as I can tell, one can't bind the Alt, Ctrl, Shift, or Caps Lock keys. Every modern MMO I've played allows for this. Am I doing something wrong or missing something? EDIT: Also, Alt-Tab to desktop causes game to crash. IDK if that's for everyone, or not.
