You can enter another persons ship. CS is wrong.
-
It may have been there - but it certainly did not occur.
Biowares Version of HeroEngine is horrendous, and you should just accept it.
Its not the games fault its using all the resources available to it. If it was only using 50% of a GPU's resources people would *****, if it uses all of it you *****.
-
High gpu or CPU use can increase temp, a well designed system will compensate,
I find when ever on my ship all my fans go full force,
Star trek online can't even be run full graphics on systems with nvidia graphics that game actually melted to nvidia GeForce 9500's on me.
Unless SWTOR slows down your fans it cannot overheat your components unless the potential for your components to overheat was there before SWTOR used them.
-
The problem is SWTOR can ramp the heat up really quickly - faster than anything I've ever seen. Something is very wrong with this engine.
This fast heat increase is something a standard cooling system wouldn't be able to stop once it got to a certain point - it's fast, I've seen it.
SWTOR does not run in ring 0 or ring 1. It cannot push a GPU or CPU beyond what it would normally go up to or slow the fans down. It does not kill computers, bad cooling kills computers.
-
The bosses typically have added mechanics that make them harder to kill, some have shortened enrage timers. I don't know the specifics.
-
Lots of people are getting this, some people get high CPU temps, others high GPU temps.
Short answer = the game engine is poop and is the cause of this.
Uhh no. High temps are caused by case design, not by programs that don't run in ring 1 or ring 0.
-
Best I can think of is that there might be a bottleneck in other areas that prevents your GPU from doing so much work while aboard your ship that bottleneck isn't as noticeable.
-
This. THIS. And ALWAYS this. Can you imagine TES' crafting system in a MMO? EVERYONE will go alchemy, I guarantee it.
I can't even imagine Bethesda running an MMO. If people consider SWTOR buggy imagine a Bethesda game.
-
" By buying the game at launch, you understand that these issues may affect you; they're not forcing you to pay for this game when it first launches"
No where in the game description or on EA/BW/SWTOR website or any marketing they did said I was going to be sold a incomplete and buggy product. Actually they proclaimed the very opposite.
So you are fine with being sold a broken and incomplete product? You expect mediocrity and shoddy workmanship?
No sir, not me I expect a A list developer/producer to come through on there word that they are selling a finished and FINELY polished product.
This is a finely polished product. In its genre.
-
It will never change with a attitude like that. Why must you accept a product that isnt finished.
Because I don't expect the impossible. BioWare can't possibly know every single little detail that goes on in their program. They know what its supposed to do, but for some reason or another some stupid **** can go on in certain hardware that ****s up what its supposed to leading to bugs. Imagine if you had a clock that had 50 *********** million little mechanisms and you had to have them all work perfectly and everyone expects you to do it in a timely manner. Except they don't give you enough time, they expect you to do it in a couple of years when it would take your entire life just to fix every little issue.
-
No actually Bioware advertised the game with graphic setting they don't allow us to use. That's false advertising
No its not.
-
Because we aren't spoiled little *****es who expect everything to be perfect. Nothing is perfect, especially MMOs. No one is going to change this because its only going to get more and more complicated and harder to find all the bugs. It cannot be changed. It will never change.
-
Because its not as simple as you think.
-
I would say we are among the best of the best, but we aren't truly the greatest. We would be beat bad if we faced someone like the Emperor or say Malgus.
-
They security key vendor is a incentive to get you to protect your account. It saves BW money in the end when they don't have to waste time resetting hacked accounts and it helps save us from the annoyance.
-
No. Do not halve any experience. I don't want to have to spend 3 months just to get to the *********** last level. The pace right now is perfect, you actually feel like you're making progress rather than just staring at a bar screaming for it to go faster.
-
The world boss does drop it, however its a really really low chance to drop.
-
Actually you don't hear explosions its a system inside the cockpit designed to help pilots with spatial awareness I believe.
-
Jedi Knight and JC get the same ship as the SW and the SI get the same ship. Other classes get different ones though.
-
I can't do it either unless I really feel its the right choice. I've only made one willing dark side choice and that was on Alderaan.
-
I do, I would pick correctly 100% of the time between a 30 and a 60fps clip... so shut it...
No you wouldn't.
-
Can u store more than 200 items? Even in your storage or bank? I came from SWG where I had a "real" house and a "real" trade. It kept me busy when I didn't want to kill things. Perhaps you will be happy killing things for the next few years; I don't have a problem with that....but I couldn't stomach it myself. More power to you.
This isn't SWG (THANK GOD FOR THIS, SWG WAS BORING AS ****.). Go play some other sandbox MMO.

10,000 credits aint much. I wouldn't do a FP run for short of 50k.
-
So now even though the game made a profit it still is unsuccessful because they didnt make 3 other games instead?
Quick question. Is Diablo 3 a successful game? Blizzard could have made 20 games by now with that development team.
With Blizzard's average development time they could have made a ****ton more games throughout their entire company's lifetime.
High GPU temps on Ship

Its not an optimization issue though. Infact 100% utilization is the goal of optimization...
How about people fix their computer's cooling.
