News flash. Bioware/EA need to turn profits to keep running. You don't have access to the collectors edition vendor unless you have a CE code on your account. Why? Because you have to pay more money to get more access. This isn't a new concept, they have been doing it since day one. I seriously doubt ANYTHING in the cash shop will be required to be competitive in the end game short of access to operations, which, you should already have based on your monthly sub

if you get the CE for 30$ it is really only 15$ coz you get 1 month free game time with the upgrade, even if you had the dde.

meh, it is a moot point in the end. if you mouse over someones avatar you can see what their user #'s are still. for example, mine is low enough to know I have been here from day 1. i applaued the effort, the amount of time spent on the forums doesnt make a difference about how much in game knowledge someone has. but people who belittle others based on time spent here will find more ways to do it. i liked having mine showing. i was registered in the first few hours of the beta site going up. So I read that the DDE people are going to get an item like the hero banner for the Collectors edition people. Question What if I have the DDE and then upgrade my account to the Collectors Edition. Does that mean I will get both items, or when I upgrade my account to CE does that completely over write the DDE? I know no one has the answer yet, but I figure if I don't ask the question it wont get answered. Thanks in advance

But if Bioware decided to ONLY offer an operation in the shop and not provide access to it to the subscribers, then what point would there be to continue subscribing? They would see their steady revenue dry up quick. I know I would stop subbing and just buy the one offs as needed. That being said? The sky is definately not falling. So far everything that has been talked about in the cartel store is cosmetic. And to be honest? Even if there are upgrades available stat wise from the store? yay! so long as they don't provide upgrades that are BETTER than what is available from normal game play through operations and warzones? More avenues to loot the better, and the more avenues to revenue for a game I want to see kept alive? also the better.

as a subber of course I will have access to it. I'll have a free monthly stipend to spend, and I can always purchase more cartel points for COSMETIC items just the same way that F2P people will do. Crappy looking gear? I use level 20 orang gear because I like the look of it, and rip the mods out of the ops gear. I have access, I am just not whining about the cost, when it cost the same for everyone to get the cosmetics. F2P doesnt have access to ops at all, they will probably be able to purchase access, but by default they don't even have the option of getting the mods I'll have access to via subbing

Cosmetic Items are Cosmetic and not needed to play the game. The monthly stipend granted to subbers can be used to get any cosmetic items they are wanting. Or, they can save them and if they decide to go F2P if OPS and Warzones are what they want then if they are available they can use the cartel points for those options. Subbers shouldn't be given everything just because they pay 15$ a month. They should be given access to progression content. And yes I am a subber, and no I probably wont be dropping to f2p. I'll use my cartel points on the items I want from the shop, and that is how it should be.

Good healer but with channelled casts and few instant heals (bubble isnt a heal), no instant recovery in emergency moments. They also don't always understand that to be the most effective we have to stand still to get the most hps. Squishy, with the lack of armor if sorcs pull threat they go down fast. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? Turret Healer. So long as I can manage to keep everyones health above 70% at all times my spec manages to be successful. But with no last minute 'instant' heals there is very little recovery to get a group back up if more than one drops below 50% at a time, or more than 3 or 4 in a raid. Our instant cast heal is HOT and our instant cast Bubble isnt an actual heal and only soaks up one or two hits in a boss fight. To be effective we have to be stationary to make sure our channelled casts finish fully. Threat mitigation is nessesary, if we pull threat we die.

I have my personal experiences. I spend zero time on my ship. I am on a planet or I am on the fleet. If I am on the fleet I have access to the GTN readily. If I am on a planet and need to get tot he fleet I quick travel with a fleet pass. Majority of the players I play with do the same thing. How do I know? I play with them and we all say 'going to the fleet' and quick travel. Again, my experience says that having a GTN on your ship is not going to make people stop playing the rest of the game, and the majority of the time your ship is OUT OF THE WAY to get to at level 50. Again, the sky is not falling. but please take what you wrote to heart, with no 'proof' your supposed argument as just as moot as mine, difference is I am not sure you know what level 50 game play is like yet based on your ideas put forth.

No, not really. after level 50 the only reason to go to your ship is to travel.

oh no, not attempting. quite effectively succeeding. the neutral trade market is pointless now that you can mail stuff cross faction. so having a cross faction GTN is only going to benefit the economy. Charging someone 5 mil to put the gtn on their ship is a huge deterrant, most people would rather spend money on items in game instead of a semi useless toy on the ship. majority of the people with the gtn on their ship will be the super rich and the people who play the game to play the market. the sky really isn't falling. i promise.

3 months still isn't instant. that being said? i don't know about you, but for me and the majority of my guild? we wouldnt waste 5 mil on a gtn on our ship. it really is a sky is falling scenario right now. 5 mil is a hefty chunk of change when you could just instant warp back with a fleet pass.
