I was always in a group with 2+ guildies. 3 of us hit 50 within 2 days of eachother. I skipped no heroics and did most of the instances multiple times getting gear and also ran some PVP to get XP when I was burned on questing for a few hours. My time wasn't even the shortest in the guild. I know others in the guild space barred their way through dialogue, but other than the companion quests I didn't skip anything. I Levelled throught he planets and flash points and moved on. One guildie, who hit 50 first on the server, didnt even get to play on Taris because he was hit with the memory leak bug. So he skipped an entire planet and through PVP and Flash Point XP still managed to level to 50. EDIT: The bonus XP you get from other members of your group when you complete bonus objectives makes questing in groups optimal and reduces your levelling time a ton. Skip NO bonus objectives and you level faster.

its /played time not actual time in real life If you spend 5 hours a day at your computer playing it would take 24 real days to achieve 5 days of played time Some of us were on vacation and breaks. My /played was 5 days 21 hours 33 minutes when I hit 50, and I didnt skip any dialouge the first time through. If I repeated flash points? Yes I skipped dialogue but everything content wise was not skipped.

As far as I can tell, all crafted items that are wearable are out trumped by the tier 1 loot from hard modes and the loot you get from Eternity Vault blasts it out of the water. Mods or not. I agree, you should be able to turn these items in for schematics to craft mods, and then to make the mods you have to loot the items and then use it as part of the schematic to make the epic mods. It would work both ways. People could craft the mods by breaking down the looted items, and people could mod their custom gear to be as epic as the looted mods. It doesnt work that way right now, and the crafters are getting the shaft at level 50. However, the loot from the drops are pretty epic. just wish I could customize the looks.

I took 2 weeks off of work to play. in that 2 weeks I played 5 days 21 hours 33 minutes and then hit 50 and finished my class quest. 5 days 21 hrs 33 min 119 hours 33 minutes That is about the right amount of time it should take to level a character. Just because I had 2 weeks off to play games and spend time with the kids and you didn't doesnt mean there should be artificial road blocks for people who play games. ps- I am not a power gamer by any means. I just loved the story and couldn't put it down. I also read 300+ pages of novels in 1 day beacuase I 'like the story' Do you think they should put in artifical time outs for me to put down the books I pay for too?

I'd suggest deleting the post and telling your friend to start over. you broke the UA by allowing him to create and play. Alot of people do it, but not alot of people post about breaking the UA on the forums. No I won't go find the passage, but trust me, it is in there somewhere, it is in all the MMO's user agreements.

it doesnt compare 1- this launch is playable 2- this game honestly has nothing in common with galaxies short of glow sticks 3- galaxies was complex to the point of absurdity at times, but that is what made it great. However it had no story, at all. none. 4- the old republic isn't 'simple' by any means, but it has no where near the complexity of Galaxies. The modding system is pretty deep, however the appeal of this game is the Story, which it has in spades. You are asking to compare 2 completely different genres of MMO, because it has glow sticks. Get rid of the light sabers and IP and these 2 games have nothing in common except the fact that they are called MMO's.

hold cntrl and right click the item i believe to open the modification slots. you can remove the current crystal before placing your new crystal in, i fyou place the new crystal in without remove the old it will destroy the old crystal in your saber. remember to remove your special crystal when upgrading again later.

Give it a month. Problem is right now you are going to have the vocal minority who aren't in yet complaining non stop. The people who aren't in and aren't complaining? Not on the forums right now, they are busy building faqs and content for websites and forums. Even you are only posting to complain about complainers, give it a month, the community with even out and you will see more than just the disgruntled people wanting to be in game.

because in 3-5 hours everyone at work who hasnt gotten into the game will all log in at once and then they will have a real test as to how their hardware is holding up. All you have in game right now are people who stayed home from work/school to play.
