  1. They never said the ilum re-work is coming January, in fact they've completely ignored it and havent mentioned it for like 6 months. What they DID say was that an event would occur around january (and that it could be delayed), that would involve a ship crash landing on ilum. It is completely unrelated to a permanent re-work of the zone.
  2. The item afaik is BOP, but the tokens used to buy the item can be mailed freely between characters / alts, so just send your alt 120 of the tokens and have them buy it themselves.
  3. I'm sort of in the same boat... But what i also want to see is content that is new more than anything... mini-games (swoop racing, pazaak), multiplayer space combat, etc.
  4. I'm sorry but theres no way in hell this was intentional. It completes the _entire_ race aswell as the quest chain for you without you having to do a single thing other than 1 space mission. Theres no reason how they would even possibly be related, and to add to it theres no republic equivalent - it is an empire only thing. It is a bug 100%.
  5. Once the game officially goes Free-to-Play, do people who continue paying the subscription after that date get a monthly allowance of cartel coins every month? Or do we just get the coins for the months we have already subscribed prior to the change?
  6. In a previous Q&A it was stated that freedom of player customisation was one of the highest priorities for the developers. The incredibly limited match-to-chest option goes against this, as its in place solely to reward players for getting a chest piece. I have never seen people request chest pieces be more rewarding, but I have seen numerous people request more player customisation. With this in mind - when, if ever, can we expect a full armor dye system so that we can actually move towards being able to make our characters look the way we want? Its disappointing finding a chest piece you like then realising the only version of it in the game is red, so if i dont like that colour scheme its very frustrating.
  7. 1. How do you think your Marauder spec is perceived by other classes? In PVE we are considered strong DPS, but are limited in our viability in certain encounters due to being melee (fabricator on KP for example with the puzzle, etc). In PVP I think we are generally considered very strong and great to have atleast one of in a group, possibly bordering on OP. 2. How do you perceive your own spec? Besides a 3 minute CD marauders have far less survivability than people think. Undying rage is 9 times out of 10 an "oh ****" button where you get a couple extra hits in and are gauranteed to die at the end of it regardless. We also have very limited utility, with no real stuns, pulls or knockbacks. To the best of my knowledge we are also the only advanced class in the entire game (other than operatives possibly?) that are not able to alter the positioning of other players. Positioning is incredibly crucial in PVP, especially in tiered maps such as huttball. We have no knockback, pull, grapple, push, etc. Additionally due to roots not adding to resolve, the amount of times I am literally unnable to attack something as a melee dps yet not be considered stunned is ridiculously high, especially with the knockbacks that have a root affect at the end. To counter all the negatives, I think we're balanced out with the positive of good dps (which is our only available role) when allowed to maintain uptime on a target in PVP, and likewise in PVE when the boss encounters are favourable.
  8. I'd have to disagree to a small extent - I feel that stacking one class should be a viable strategy... what it shouldnt be is an ideal one.
  9. Could not agree more with this list of changes. The character creator is so inredibly limited its just completely frustrating. Its people's first impression of the game and the connection with the character is probably one of the most important aspects of the game due to the story element. Then, once the character is created, actually making them wear what you want and be the way you want is near impossible. The entire game of customising your character is about making the best compromises and getting what you're least displeased with, as opposed to having a vision for a character then being able to create it. Armor dyes need to happen. The match-to-chest option is so incredibly limited. Yes, i get it - the chest piece is the hardest to get, but its irrelevant. There are so few coloured variations of different chest pieces that chances are you wont be able to get the colour scheme you want anyway. There are also far too few orange armours. We should be able to get the appearance of every single piece of armor in the game. There are so many green lower level items that look awesome that just dont have an orange version of them. Likewise the NPC's all throughout the game wear some of the best armors in the game and the players have absolutely no access to them (the marauder PVP set without the scuba-tank and spikes, for example), as well as numerous colour variations that we cant access because of the limited match-to-chest option. Lastly the set bonuses need to be move-able for ALL tiers of PVP/PVE gear, not just campaign/warhero that the majority of level 50 players wont have. The second a new player hits level 50 if they dont want to sacrifice stats they have to suffer through several tiers of some of the worst looking end game gear in history until they can get to a point where they can look like what they want (a point i would bet very few players are at atm). All in all the entire time playing when wanting to make the character how you want - for me anyway - its always been "oh this looks awesome... too bad i cant look like that for one of a dozen different reasons... ill just have to make do with this as it looks ok and not completely terrible".
  10. Yeh thats great in maybe 6 months for the current players, but for the time being its literally useless as very few people have the campaign PVE gear or the war-hero PVP gear and all the other battlemaster/tionese/columi/rakata arent transferable. Its also useless for any new player/char that ever gets played until they get into the 2nd tier of gear. The point of this patch (and 1.2 as well, but thats another issue) is to, as stated in the dev blog we're posting in the discussion from (and that numerous people have quoted) is to allow people to have control over what they wear without sacrificing stats. It would not be wasted resources in the slightest to allow this goal of theirs to actually become a reality. In its current state the vast majority of level 50 players cannot do what the point of this patch is. Customisation of appearance is one of the most important things they need to invest in, and so far they continue to fail patch after patch.
  11. So 1.2 was supposed to be 'the patch' to allow you to be able to wear what you want and look the way you wanted without sacrificing stats... but very little was augmentable as the number of orange schematics were incredibly limited. Now 1.3 is supposed to be 'the patch' to do the same due to being able to add augments to any orange gear... except the vast majority of the level 50 playerbase still cant wear what they want without sacrificing stats due to PVE set bonuses for tionese, columi, rakata and PVP set bonuses for battlemaster still not being transferable... Here's hoping for 1.4 anyone? Maybe 1 year after the game launches we'll finally be able to wear what we want without sacrificing stats! Seriously how hard is it to make all tionese/columi/rakata/battlemaster pieces of gear bought from now onwards have transferable armorings with set bonuses, then let people trade in their old pieces for the new ones (or hell, even make people have to re-earn them... while not ideal its still 10x better than not being able to wear the armour we actually want to). As a side note, what good does orange belt/bracers do if all the best armoring mods are slot-restricted and thus cant be placed in belts/bracers? And as another side note, I'm still incredibly annoyed that theres a ridiculous amount of armour sets in the game that we as players have no access to. (things that have been removed from beta but still exist in files, armour you see NPC's all over the galaxy wear that players cant get, tons of colour combinations and styles that we're restricted to due to the incredibly limited 'match-to-chest-only' option, etc).
  12. You do realise that while you have 8 slots, there are also 8 different advanced classes per faction. How is it bizarre that some people preference combat over story?
  13. And because at the guild summit it was outright said that some things coming down the line you would need chars on both factions to be able to complete
  14. Id stil rather pay that than having to roll an alt all the way to 50 (if i had no interest in rolling an alt)
  15. Maybe its just me, but id totally prefer having to pay 5 mill (which honestly isnt that much) credits than grinding a char from 1-50 (again, that is if i had 0 interest in actually playing an alt)
  16. I only have one single character not eight so this doesnt really effect me, but even I'm able to see that deleting a character (or even transfering them to another server) should NOT be an option in the slightest in regards to accessing this content.
  17. Umm how is he right lol, people are right to doubt as currently there is 0 proof of what that guy posted being true.
  18. On topic, in my opinion the group finder NEEDS to be for ALL group content. (flashpoints, operations, pvp groups, questing, heroics, world bosses, any thing else). It also needs to be single-server only (at first, this can change if it is desparately required, but hopefully it wont be), and it needs to be accessable by everyone on the entire server wherever they are (so i can que for flashpoints while questing on a planet, or que for heroics on a planet while on the fleet etc). If any of the above things dont happen then people will not use it all the time, and for the tool to be successful everyone needs to be using it whenever they want to group for everything... not just when they want to do a flashpoint.
  19. Its pretty damn inconvenient to get to the black hole. Firstly getting to any planet is relatively inconvenient in this game due to load screens / travel etc. But for the black hole especially - first you have to go through the usual process of getting to your ship/map/planet, and the correllia planet load screen is by far one of (if not the) longest. Once ur there you then have to go to the ship outside the spaceport and go through yet another load screen for no reason. If the black hole is an entirely separate zone to the planet then it should be able to be accessed entirely separately. Theres absolutely no sense to load the entire planet if correllia if we are then to completely un-load it and load a new zone. You have to then go through the entire process again (of loading correllia only to leave it for ur ship) when you want to leave (if u dont have fleet pass up). The other reason is that once uve done the dailies that take ~30 mins theres no reason to stay there whatsoever. If they could make pvp worthwhile there and have a purpose/reward people might stay longer i suppose.
  20. gaining legacy xp is pretty damn painful
  21. The originating server which you want to transfer a character from The Swiftsure Server wish to transfer all characters to: Master Dar'Nala The name of characters on that server Toral Your specific issues with the form - buttons not available, dropdowns not working, etc "Original Server", "Character Name" and "Destination Server" are all greyed out / have nothing listed / etc
  22. People already have the title, so im pretty sure it comes from getting all 9 codex entries.
  23. Yeh its definitely possible to get 9/9. The 9th one for killing all 3 world bosses is most definitely bugged for the vast majority of players though.
