  1. We can handle anything, but they handle it better (Sages). Honestly though, I am torn between wanting our HoT's strength boosted, to just wanting some extra unique flair added in. I wouldn't mind our current healing output staying the same if other effects were added to what we can do: Emergency Medpac: Keep it, love it. It's perfect Kolto Pack: Should add % of Absorption to the target for XX seconds. Slow Release Medpac: Either reduce the stack's needed to 1, or make a 2 stack last longer. Triage: Love that you can make this heal, but would be amazing if it granted a 2-4 sec immunity to Harmful effects to target after use. Kolto Cloud: A % of baseline damage reduction would be great, but IMO, it needs to be more than 10%. This is such a costly special that is so limited (only 4 allies? wha?). Diagnostic Scan: I'd love to see it improve the target's survivability; maybe "Inscreases target's base Defenses by XX %" so, let's say a 2% increase to their Defense, Shielding, Absort, Armor, etc, for a short time.
  2. Thank you for the heads up! Now only should I get my Printscreen ready, but I better make sure they look uber sexy first too ^_^
  3. Cunning Stack her basically like you would yourself: Cunning / Critical / Surge All of the companions come with basic gear, and you want to stick mostly with what that gear has, because it shows what their main stat is. Corso: Aim Boowdar: Strength Risha: Cunning Akaavi: Aim Gus: Cunning C2N2: Scraphim
  4. ^^Like above: Hang back, use strategy, do not jump in the middle of the fight unless it is really needed. I say this though, and I am often jumping in themiddle of things. I've had folks constantly call me the Kamikazee Healer. Anyways, my suggestions, from PvP'ing from lvl 26 (currently lvl 43) as full spec'd Sawbones: -Know your tanks and ask to be Guarded. Keep close to them and keep them healed. Remind them to keep you protected. You two can be a DEADLY combo and it allows you to focus your heals on the DPS so hey can take out the enemies. ( I usually flat out say at the beginning of a WZ: "Healer here, who are tanks. Keep me guarded, I keep you alive." and it works). -Know your gear: Get your Cunning high. Stack Crit and Surge. Do NOT worry about Power, Accuracy or Alacrity. Cunning + Crit + Surge will boost your heals amazingly, as well as help your damage. -Don't try to take on enemies with out assistance. You are not a solo artist. You need backup.
  5. How did y'all get your companions out for a group shot?
  6. I am full spec'd Sawbones, so any Companion can become a "tank" if I do things right. That being said, once I got Akaavi, I started using her and really enjoyed her style and DPS, even over Risha. The problem, is it is MUCH easier to keep Risha's gear up to date than it is Akaavi. Besides the difference in armor, finding Techblade and Techstaffs are just dang DIFFICULT! I am thinking of working on Akaavi again soon and pulling her back out. My thought is if, you focus on Aim/Endurance/Power she will do well. I just need to analyse her abilities. I suspect they push off base damage, as opposed to ours taking advantage of crit/surge. So Power might be the best secondary stat. I think any companion is GREAT if you really gear their equipment to boos their abilities. Corso: Endurance/Aim/Defense/Absorption/Shielding Risha: Cunning/Endurance/Crit/Surge Akaavi: Aim/Endurance/Power/Accuracy Bowdar: Strength/Endurance/Defense/Absorption Gus: Cunning/Endurance/Power (or Crit/Surge to boost his healing) C2N2 is scrapmetal and should never be brought out. Ever.
  7. I don't understand why someone wouldn't keep fighting even if they are loosing. Sure, you don't win the match, but the medal system and reward system is amazing in how it gives you rewards for just PLAYING and working. Folks who want to quit this should experience other PvP instanced systems that gave zero rewards to the losers. That's what I am used to, and this one is amazing.
  8. Ya know...as a full spec'd Sawbones...I wasn't actually jealous until I read this. thanks =[ haha
  9. I used to pop Disappearing Act right after a conversation would end, before the action began, so that I would have a breathing moment. It's not been working the last three times. I have either had my companion get fired on (like y'all mentioned, and WITHOUT there being any DoT's or effects on her), or both of us being aggro'd. It is very annoying because this used to be dependable, and I died twice because of this failure.
  10. Iheamylap Hovybet. Sawbones by day, drunkard by night. =] http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/5311/iheam1.jpg
  11. I like your suggestions! Well thought out, and I feel like you plucked your concerns and changes right out of my head! I would greatly accept a better way to drum up UH/TA procs. I think it would be easier if Slow Release Medpac was changed to provide its full benefit from just one cast. Then I could have it on more party members, increasing the UH proc chance. I whole heartedly agree that Dodge needs to include ALL attacks, and the boosting of it needs some additional work. Either a duration increase, or something like you suggest. I would also yes love for there to be a Version of Diagnostic Scan I can place on another player. A separate ability (so I don't' accidentally cast it on another when I need it on myself), but with a shared cooldown timer.
  12. I am thinking it might be fun to stack Champion PvP gear with Rakata PvE gear. Two pieces each. Champion bonus: (2) Increases healing done by Recuperative Nanotech or Kolto Cloud by 15%. Rakata Bonus: (2) Reduces the energy cost of Recuperative Nanotech and Kolto Cloud by 4. Would only miss out on expertise from two pieces...but those two would have much higher stat increases, so I think it balances out.
  13. My first clue that it could do this was in the description: It says it has a range of 30m. At first, I thought the ability would heal me and allies in a 10m radius...but that clued me in that I could cast it afar. And you can! It's very handy for when You can't stay in the middle of the group.
  14. Sawbones healers are better than ANY other healer class out there. Why? One simple reason: Besides having amazing healing abilities, we can kick the opposition in the balls.
  15. If you are not beating, or nearly beating, Sages & others for top healing in WZ's (of equal level), then you are not playing your class to the fullest. Granted, you really bloom as a Sawbones smuggler once you reach lvl 40 and can get Kolto cloud, but still. Low survivability? Hardly. A gank squad will always take you down, but between Dodge, Defensive Screen, Disappearing Act, and the ability to heal, you are far from fragile. Add on that we have good damage and stun tricks when we need them.
  16. I've read some posts dissing this ability, because it doesn't seem to appear "worth" being a top Tier ability. HAH! I just got to level 40 this week. My healing numbers in WZ's immediately after getting and learning to use Kolto Cloud jumped 50-100k on average. MY ONLY complaint is that I wish it would affect more than 4 allies..but even so, this ability is far from weak and useless as some are claiming. Stacking it with Slow Release Medpacs and Emergency Medpacs has been amazing. High Cunning and Crit & Surge has made me see Kolto ticks as high as 600 per tick, and that adds up really quick. And that I can cast it on allies up to 30m away, spreading to their surrounding allies is great. Add on to that fact, that after Huttball runs, I am pretty darn sure that the only requirement for it to spread to allies is distance, not Line of Site. I have cast it on myself, and seen it appear on allies who I can not place anything else on due to Can't See Target prompt. This ability is far from lackluster! Love it!
  17. Kolto Cloud is far from useless. FAR. I finally got to level 40 this week, and the moment I did and started using it, my healing in warzones jumpe from 150-200k on average to 230-300k on average. You gotta remember that, though its energy costly, you can cast it while moving, and you can target players up to 30m away and cast it, spreading it to the Allies near them. It's been most useful in Voidstar, but even defending the Middle turret in the other WZ I have racked up AMAZING numbers. With the full healing tree, high Cunning & critical chance, each tick is usually around 500-600 on players. I have found I have thrown out less UWM's because of stacking Kolto Cloud with Slow Release Medpac and Emergency Medpac's, and my heal numbers have still gone up. It's amazing.
  18. Critical > Surge > Accuracy > Power Unless you are sawbones, and then you might: Critical > Surge > Allicraty (speling). Early on, Power seems cool, but our Skill tree's boost and take advantage of Critical more than Power.
  19. You noticed that two huh? I haven't been able to figure out why, but It seems to be doing more healing than it describes in the Skill info....so no complaints here
  20. I make money from Artifact grade Mods and Armoring left and right on the GTN. Sure, Vendors can sell mods lvl 1-49 that, as Prototypes, are "better" than the Green/basic mods we sell. But ANY of our Artifact grade Mods we learn from RE'ing are better than pre lvl 50 vendors. Period. Learn those and sell them. Not everyone is Level 50, and even if they are, it takes them some time to get the "Epic" gear. Customers will buy your lvl 49 Artifact mods,. Just don't over price them. For example, yesterday, I sold 5 artifact Skill Armoring 10 for 4.5k each. That is a very good profit for those and they were sold in hours. Sometimes it might take a day or so, but still, things sell. TL;DR?: LEARN YOUR ARTIFACT GRADE SCHEMATICS! They WILL make you $.
  21. Okay, I am assuming then that you are moving from the tactic of Burst Damage Killing him to just throwing out any distraction you can? I would say then focus on Stuns > Damage. So, open up with Back Blast, then Dirty Kick (so he doesn't get full Resolve Bar), then when/if he recovers from that, throw down a Flash Bang grenade. At this point, you can use Disappearing Act to re-stealth. When he recovers from the Flash Bang, try and then Shoot First from stealth on him to perform a Knockdown for 3 seconds. Beyond that, not sure, but I would say manage and know your stuns. Shoot First's knockdown will fill up the Resolve bar immediately, so do not start with that if your mission is to keep him stunned and distracted for a short time.
  22. What are you, Sawbones, Scrapper, Dirty Fighting? etc.
  23. Yeah, the problem is that Disappearing Act's 10 second debuff on heals is separate from actually being Stealthed. You can be pulled right out of stealth (by a AoE for example), but the debuff persists. It took me a while to notice this. They need to fix this so that being pulled out of stealth after hitting Disappearing Act will clear the debuff. Right now, it persists regardless.
  24. You guys are forgetting Triage. 1 pt in the Sawbones skill tree and it has a heal equivalent (and sometimes stronger) than Emergency Medpac for a low energy cost.
  25. Essential, I use the hades out of it. Especially as a full Sawbones spec in PvP. It's a great little cheap heal and clears off the DoT's that are taking down me, or my team members.
