  1. My absolute favorite thing is all the random stuff he says when you enter into a new zone or area. His latest crack (spoiler?) about how to react to the nobility of Alderaan literally had me falling out of my seat laughing the other day. ^_^
  2. From what I have noticed, Artifact grade Mods and Armoring (from RE'ing) seem to be better than what is available on Vendors (though I Haven't checked PvP vendors). Especially for anyone under level 50. For example, a Advanced Skill Armoring 10 is much better than any Skill Armoring 10 out there, Premium or Prototype, that you can buy on a vendor. They take tough-to-get Kryat scales, but every time I put one of these on a Vendor, they sell within minutes for 3-5k (which gets me a decent profit). I am not sure about Advanced/Artifact grade lvl 50 Mods versus PvP vendor Mods....but, even so, its still going to easier and more convenient for some/most folks to just buy the mod from a crafter off GTN than to have to earn them through commendations. There is a market, it just isn't "easy".
  3. My thought is, with all that investment in boosting Cool Head and Pugnancy, would you really need to waste the points in beefing up Diagnostic Scan just to get a bit of energy regeneration potential.
  4. Thank you for the numbers! Yeah, my head starts to spin when I really think about the stuff too lol I wish Power would give more of a bonus. 418 power yielding only a _71.1 bonus seems kinda weak. But, at least it stacks with other bonuses and is constant. I suppose you could unequip all the gear with +Power, fire a number of heals, and then re-equip and check the difference. If I remember, I'll do something similar tonight.
  5. My first suggestion is to relax. My second, is to do some questing. If you are Cybertech, you should easily be able to watch what kind of Mods and Armoring and Earpieces are being sold, and fill in the gaps on the market to what's missing. I do that all the time, and can make 5-20k a night simply from crafting and supplying the missing things on the GTN. On my server, there is especially a plethora of jedi based mods, and less of others, so when I putt up pieces with CUnning and Aim, they sell quickly. If you have Scavaging, be sure to collect as much as you can from your questing and from in the world resource nodes. Even if you collect enough just to make lower level skill mods and armoring, selling them for cheap is essentially pure or high profit. When you've paid nothing to gather the resources (and gained credits in the looting process of Strong/Elite Droids), or minimal (for Conductive Flux, etc), you make a lot even if you sell the crafted goods for cheap.
  6. Corso is amazing! And at the risk of immature responses, It still irritates me there isn't a same-gender romance option with him.
  7. If I am not mistaken, Nar Shadda GTN terminals are "Neutral" and both Imperial and Republic characters can interact with them. So, you can sell your Imperial restricted schematics there.
  8. This has probably been said, but I don't have time to sift through 10 pages, so I will be brief and generally give my support: Besides the lack of refined search tools, it is VERY frustrating that: 1. There are not GTN terminals in every major starport; thus making it less of an incentive for leveling players to purchase crafted goods. 2. The Neutral (Nar Shadda) and Imperial & Rebel GTN's are not linked. These and other things work to make it unnecessarily more difficult for crafters to sell goods and pay for grinding.
  9. What is your over all power stacked at? Do you mind looking in your character sheet and telling us what bonus you get for healing? You'll get that by overing over your Healing stat in the Tech (or another) window and it will show Power's modifier and how much it gives. My power is 53, but I can't remember how much + it gives (at work while posting this).
  10. I've started to bark out some things ahead of time in flashpoints: "If I mark with a "gear" icon, I'm CC the gold. Don't attack/aggro it." "My order of heals if crap hits the fan: Tank > Healer > DPS" This sometimes works. If it doesn't, I can at least say , "I told you so". I have mostly had quite a lot of "Great Healing" comments after flashpoints, so it's been very encouraging. Once, I had someone scold me severely after failing miserably at Hammer twice. I deserved it...though in my defense, I had JUST reworked my keymapping. ^_^ IMO though, if your group is needlessly talking crap, drop them and don't waste the energy.
  11. If you look at the Character sheet, under the Tech window (or any that lists Healing), and over over it, you will see that it incorporates Power as giving a boost. It will list Power as one of the modifier stats.
  12. Ah ya know, I didn't think about Critical with Diagnostic Scan. I don't use it much right now, because I haven't gotten around to beefing it up in the Skill tree's yet. Doing a bit more reading, I think I will slowly start converting over Power to Crit as I continue leveling and replacing Mods. Power is tempting, but looking more at DS and thinking about getting crits on the more energy efficient Slow Release Medpac, I'm wanting to agree on Crit being more important now. =] Thanks for the feedback!
  13. It's a cool looking jacket. I don't wear it currently (I wear the Spider series), but it's definitely worth going back and running Esseles again (which you can as much as you want) to get it to drop. I had to run it twice to finally get it in the roll. It might also help to just tell your group that you want that and they might pass the roll to ensure you get it. I don't see how you'd be loosing anything running it again. You get loot, xp, credits, and it's a piece of cake flashpoint.
  14. I was wondering what some of y'alls input would be for whether it is more beneficial for a Sawbones smuggler to focus on Power as a secondary stat or Critical Rating. I've read some where getting critical heals is a must. However, it seems Power gives an over all constant and dependable boost (that stacks with other heal boosts provided by Cunning, etc). Currently, as a lvl 24 Sawbones, I have been stacking Power and liked ensuring my heals are decently high, and I still get a fair amount of criticals....but I haven't tried focusing on critical. What are y'alls thoughts and experiences?
  15. Pugnancy should always be up. You also have Cool Head to pop when you get low. You have some heals that take less energy and are more efficient. So really, if you are running out of energy quickly, even in PvP, you might want to practice what you are using better because there is something wrong here. The only time I run out of energy is when I make a mistake, or there is a really really long crazy fight and I am having to spam heals over a long period of time.
  16. Power will also boost it's damage. Power will boost the damage of all your specials, and the strength of your heals. You should be able to see how much in your character sheet. I'm pretty sure also, that if a special shows as "Tech" in your character sheet, it benefits from Tech damage boosts.
  17. Forgive me if this has been brought up before. I can't tell past all the slicing threads. Pardon me for being used to a semi-sandbox style MMO (Star Wars Galaxies) where crafter trade was easy and encouraged (Bazaar terminals in every city plus player housing vendors), however, why is it so hard and inconvenient for leveling players to have access to Crafted goods? I am leveling up a Scoundrel and made it to Taris, and was shocked to see there wasn't a Galactic Market Vendor in the Spaceport, or ANYWHERE on the planet. I have to tediously fly to Ord Mantel to access one. Therefore, it's easier for leveling players on Taris to just use Loot/Reward/Commendation armor & equipment than to purchase it from Crafters or other Players. I'm not sure if all Planets are this way, but wouldn't it make sense for every major Spaceport to have a Galactic Vendor terminal? This would make life easier for grinding players & crafters, and also promote a better economy, in my humble opinion. Or am I just utterly clueless and am missing some other way of accessing these terminals? /discuss
  18. An option to make the buffs important to us bigger and more clear would make me happy. For our personal UI, I would appreciate UH, Pugnancy and similar to be bigger and disconnected from the other buffs (maybe above them in a separate bar? Or have their own section. For Operant/Group UI, I think either Just showing the buffs important to you would be great, with an option to resize them like we can the healthbars in Operate style UI.
  19. That guide pretty much spells it out. To add, I say Power > Crit for a Scoundrel especially if he is a Healer/Sawbones because Power will not only increase the damage of your attacks, but the strength of your healing.
