Disable SLI if you haven't already. This game isn't properly supported yet anyway and SLI always has issues with low min frame rates even when it is "working". A high max doesn't mean a lot when you're hitting lows of 14 regularly as you say.

Yeah 4 gigs is a little low these days, running just TOR and firefox my RAM usage often climbs over 5GB.

Stop right there. A typical Intel sandy bridge system with a mid-high GPU like a 570 will consume around 350w under peak load, newer hardware uses less power not more. A good quality 80+ rated 550w is more than sufficient.

Running in fullscreen windowed mode fixes that. It also makes vsync seem to work more smoothly too but that could just have been a coincidence.

There's only ever one instance of fleet at around 150ish people on my server, dunno about yours.

It's mostly AMD/ati users that are complaining actually.

Alright, well at that resolution your card should be passable then. Really though, we all need to wait for proper new drivers from nvidia and AMD before drawing any conclusions about performance. They do not ever optimize drivers for games that are still in beta and simply haven't had time to get anything new out since the holidays. The latest betas are okay though, only time i see obvious FPS dips are on the fleet which I'd expect regardless.

For it's price, yeah it is. It's quite a bit worse than a 460 and costs more. A 570 can't fully max BF3 so no chance that thing does it at reasonable FPS.

Don't lie on the internet, it's not cool. A 550 doesn't even come close to maxing BF3 (unless you're on an 800x600 monitor or something) and wouldn't do too well in TOR either.

The combat is nice, not as tight as wow's but it'll get there. WaR and rift have clunky combat, TOR isn't even close to that. You mmo hoppers really need to stop harping on about GW2 too, it's a niche game that very few people care about and will do nothing for the genre just like its predecessor.

You should NEVER expect to see 60FPS on the fleet, if you ever do then it's because there's nobody there. Moderns hardware chokes even on WoW in highly populated cities.
