  1. GW2 has implemented it and it works just fine. Everyone has their own loot. If I loot a body, as long as you hit it during that time and did enough damage, then you also can loot said body. Everyone has their own separate loot. They should implement that in SWTOR but they won't.
  2. This elitist crap mentality is the reason I stopped playing. The gear gap was a mistake and has ruined level 50 pvp. Since playing the GW2 model, I can't ever go back to SWTOR.
  3. Logged on for 5mins, couldn't stand it, logged off. They really need to implement the GW2 f2p model if they want to keep people in and make money. Not being able to say anything negative in a thread is also an issue. I suspect this post will go missing like others I've posted recently. All criticising issues. When will they learn doing business that way will drive people away.
  4. Because it will make George Lucas about $4 billion according to the Disney page. I wouldn't say no to that. And George probably doesn't mind saying buy to his baby after all these years. And also, maybe it's a finger to all the people that didn't like his 1-3 films, maybe. But with $4 billion it means he can pretty much do whatever he wants till he cops it. Maybe he wants to finance other film ideas he has and this will help him. Or maybe, just maybe, like Bill Gates has done with all his money, wants to put it in a foundation for charity.
  5. Or SWTOR doing so badly they were pressured into leaving gracefully or be fired.
  6. People like that instantly get ignored.
  7. But if they don't act on pressure from the investors then the investors vote then to be fired.
  8. How is that annoying? Buy the stock, sell it on, profit. Simple.
  9. Wasting your breath. I agree but half the people that post in this area don't because they probably know they'll have a tougher fight if they weren't out gearing everyone. These are the same people that thought there was nothing wrong with full BM geared 50s in 10-50 warzones and didn't want brackets. Why? So they could farm.
  10. No point, if EA wants it, they'll get it and ignore all customer feedback like they always do. If the main managers convince the share holders its a good idea, it will get put in. They haven't listened to feedback since launch so why bother now.

    Commando in PvP

10-49 is fun. 50 isn't. But do it for the 10-49. If you go Assault Spec you get the advantage of doing nice dot damage but being able to keep on the move. If you go gunnery, you get wrecked because you have to keep still to cast all the time.
  12. And half those devs have been let go/made redundant. So things can change.
  13. I haven't but think people are worried because it will be run by EA who are notorious for not thinking of the player but thinking about making as much as they can. So people are worried they'll turn it into a Pay 2 Win model.

    Skill vs. Gear

You got that wrong. In PvP in GW2 everyone is the same level and has the same gear. What you put your skill points in may matter, but the other guy/girl has the same option to choose what to put their skill points in. So at the end of the day, it's still skill and not gear. But it's pointless fighting this corner in these forums now, because the pro gear players don't want to hear. Because they want to continue to roll all over all the fresh 50s. These are the same people that didn't think there was an issue have 50s in the 10-50 bracket on release. Why? Because it meant they could farm.
  15. Agreed. I have 2 50s and stopped playing them and carried on with my Bounty Hunter instead. Had loads of fun in PvP from 10-49. I banked enough comms to get me one War Hero piece and one Battlemaster piece. Rest is Recruit gear. I get rolled over now, so it's become boring. The fully war hero and modded geared players appear to spot I'm in mainly recruit gear and focus fire me. So its become boring. I use my level 50s just to collect resources now (loads of fun? Not really) and the other toons for 10-49 PvP.
  16. Agree to a point. But if both nodes are comfortable held, then having at least one person who is a good enough tank harass the other node is good to keep them off your nodes.
  17. Agreed. I've been just running Compan gifts for the past few days to clear the list and hardly any metal missions have come up. It's getting beyond a joke.
  18. Don't really like fantasy prefer the Star Wars IP. However, GW2 has a lot of elements that I like that are done better than SWTOR, so prob play both for a bit. The World v World is looking to be the best part of GW2 so far.
  19. Do all the people moaning about undercutting work for Apple? Just buy the good ups and resell. It's called competition. Otherwise we'll have to all sue for Anti-trust
  20. That Analyst is on the funny pills. The restriction on F2P are going to put a few people off and if EA (and it's EA so more than likely) force Bioware to put in some Pay 2 Win it will turn even more people off. The Analyst clearly isn't looking at the big picture. With a certain other large MMO that is free from the off coming out soon and having a better system, meaning more people will flee to that so SWTOR, despite being F2P may even lose people. One of the main issues is gear in PvP. You can't play F2P and then expect to play well in PvP at 50 because you're be badly undergeared. And this is where they need to scrap gear in PvP and make it all skill based. So everyone has the same gear. This is what GW2 is doing and its a model that works. EDIT-Also loading times are a real issue. On my i7 with 12GB RAM and loading planets still keeps me waiting for at least a minute. It really doesn't help people feel connected to the game world.
  21. Rated matches are dying because I'm not allowed to queue solo so can't be bothered to try and beg people to accept me in their group. No one accepts you unless you're geared. It's all mainly about the gear and less skill. PvP should be pure skill and not gear, meaning everyone should be given a standard variety looks wise but same stats gear set so everyone is equal in gear and then PvP would be about skill. These are the problems. And going F2P isn't going to make it any better. They need to follow a new model with PvP at 50 and that is dropping gear so everyone is equal. Everyone will flame that comment but it's true. GW2 is going that way and in BETA testing it worked.
  22. The limits on the accounts are to stop credit farmers/bots using them like they use to in SWG.
  23. A financial magazine claiming the investors don't understand gaming, yet the financial magazine doesn't either. If they've made their money back from all the sales, then it's not a financial disaster. If they are only making a small profit from it, that's just a bad PA problem. Simple turn around is to concentrate real hard on creating a good capture the flag style World v World style PvP. That you can also level in. That would keep people subbing and more people coming back. Listening to the community more, communicating more and making the live servers always on so a proper community can exist on it.
  24. The so called virus the OP is talking about is the "false positive" virus warning that a lot of the major AV apps were reporting with the 1.3 code. Another reason the OP fails here is because they were told about this when it was on test then it went live and still existed. Their simple answer was that customers should contact their AV vendor. No. It's their code, they should be releasing or reporting the issue to the major vendors themselves. Not asking the customer to do it. A customer asking their AV company to remove the false positive would get ignored. It coming from EA/Bioware means the AV companies will listen and remove the signature causing the false positive. People have a right to moan as they pay for the game as much as the OP. The OP is clueless if he thinks the game is going F2P just because of people moaning. The investors will decide if it goes F2P or not.
