  1. I used to live and work in Asia and had loads of fun playing on Oceanic servers with the Aussies. My question is have we heard word from Amazon UK? I'm mean to receive my copy before 20th but given it has yet to be dispatched was wondering..
  2. Given the staggered starting debacle how can anyone claim world or server first max level? I think its a rather ridiculous goal to aim for anyway.
  3. THis ^ Now I know what date I am looking I dont mind waiting so much.
  4. Yeah.. I havent had any problems whatsoever. Then again I havent had access to the game. Well done Bioware.. fantastic job pissing off so many people.
  5. Actually, the moon is traveling away from the Earth. It is doing so at a very small rate but eventually the moon will leave Earth orbit.
  6. The success of this game in entirely in the developers hands. It has the potential to be amazing should they not repeat the mistakes that WoW did. I dont think its that unreasonable to have certain similarities with this genre of game and indeed some game characteristics have become industry standard, such as gathering, crafting, etc.. What they need to be very careful about are pointless mechanics that take the MM out of MMO. i.e. flying mounts, and queuing systems that remove players from the world environment only to have them sat in queues at a faction hub. I've noticed from videos I've watched that the storyline is a very powerful part of the game. In WoW or AoC for example the story line meant nothing to me but in star wars it does. If they improve the space ship part of the game to be of the same quality of the rest and make original improvements and innovations then I foresee a long and successful future for the game. Its so important to the future of MMO development that this be a success because Blizzard has had it too easy for too long and should this title hold its own against WoW then we are likely to see even better developments from both companies in the future.
  7. I can handle a 2 hour queue. What is outrageous is a 7 day queue. There are going to be queues on 20th regardless.. This release is laughable. I had the impression Bioware knew what they are doing. I dont have that impression anymore.
  8. Get over it? I remember when Age of Conan came out and they were inundated with loads of players. Funcom screwed up that mmo too and all the fanbois like you were saying similar drivel. Giving people a week long head start over others who have preordered is simply outrageous. If the game system is flawed then 5 or 7 days isnt going to make the slightest bit of difference. Ah.. **** this.. this is BS.
  9. Feeling the same way. They have severely pissed me off with this unfair staggered limbo wait. It usually takes months and years for me to start hating on an mmo. Bioware has accomplished this without me even stepping foot in the game.
  10. Well thanks.. Something interesting to read and it seems to fit the pattern of not being provided with meaningful information. So at this point in time, I am going to get on to Amazon and cancel my order. Queue that!
  11. Well I dont know about losing customers but this customer in particular is not having fun being left out waiting like a freaking leper. It might be time to call it quits now. At least I can move on with my life instead of floating in limbo. Thanks for the cryptic wave messages Bioware, very enlightening.
  12. I take back any complaints i made about waiting in a queue to play WoW. An hour queue is preferable to getting Sweet FA from Bioware whilst the select few get an entire week ahead of me. We paid the same *********** amount. Impressed, I am not!
  13. So by the time I get access all I am going to name my characters is odd and meaningless combinations of letters. *********** great...
  14. I have to say I am sick of the unfairness and farcical start to this game. It usually takes months and years for me to get to the point where I am sick and tired of a game. Bioware has managed to accomplish this without me ever being able to play the game, effectively ruining friends ability to play the game together from the start. Screw this.. stuff the game where the sun dont shine!
  15. Good idea this thread. Why the hell couldnt Bioware be doing this? We would have accurate information then.
  16. Well this **** is getting old very fast. As someone who signed up in December I am obviously fooked. If this becomes the standard for their releases of content at least one good thing will come from it: Its gonna be pretty hard to claim 'world/server first to max level'.
  17. Its not fair. I dont have a job and I have all the time in the world to play. I could be filling in for the people flipping burgers and cleaning the crud off the streets. There is little justice in this world.. I despair.
  18. The anglo-american empire didnt overthrow over 50 governments, many of them democracies, since the 1950's for nothing. Whats the point in conquering the world if you have to learn other languages? Everyone WILL speak English or else.
  19. Well I entered my code on the 10th so its looking like I shouldn't have bothered. And they have the cheek to continue to advertise 5 days early access* Its not just that I cant play, dont know if I will get in or when. I wanted to play with friends and this staggered approach is completely screwing with our ability to do that. It usually takes months if not years before I become sick and tired of an mmo. Bioware has managed to accomplish it before I have even started playing the game. * up to. <- what the f?
  20. So people who paid more can buy themselves an advantage? With this and the ongoing debacle of early access I am quickly starting to wish I had not bothered with the game. I am sick of it already and I have yet to play a minute.
  21. I know its not exactly trivia but I was just browsing through the interactive star map. If you havent had a peak its quite interesting having a look at the planet information.
  22. Back when I was suckered in to playing AoC Funcom fudged all the server status info to make it appear like the game wasnt completely dead.
  23. No one knows anything because they all went home early and are presently tucked up in bed enjoying sleepy time whilst all the servers have no one in them.
  24. I identify with your point. There was a sweet spot in wow before flying mounts in Azeroth where you could go about cause havok amongst the opposite faction and have spontaneous fun. When they removed everyone from the world with pointless flying mounts and dungeon queuing systems there wasn't anyone else to interact. Oh.. the fun I had in Arathi Basin parking my warlock above the entrance to a battleground and sending my imp off to kill newbies in a camp and watching them running around like headless chickens was priceless. The fun I had in Dark-shore parking my warlock on the roof of the Inn and dotting up innocent noobs; even though that was probably bad for the noobs eventually backup came and kicked my *** but it was amazing spontaneous fun and probably the most enjoyable times i ever had in an mmo. Im looking forward to a PvP world with no flying mounts and no queuing system.
