  1. Well this is the first game and last game I will ever pre-order and now I am understanding why I wisely never did it before. I could have been chilling enjoying other aspects of life at present. Instead I bought into the idea I would be able to play the game early only to hit complete frustration at not knowing if or when I can get access. Meanwhile all the servers are empty (10.30am) and the people running the show are all tucked up in bed enjoying sleepy time. I have to ask a question: *** is going on ?
  2. Well should this be the case I will contact Amazon and cancel my order. **** this. I'll buy the freaking game when I can play what I have paid for.
  3. The OP raises a good point that occurred to me as well. I was up at 5.30am and the European servers were at 'Light' load. Its now 10am and its the same situation. I hope they have learnt whatever they need to from the first day and get invites rolling now. Buggering off home early seems a bit off but perhaps they are giving everyone a rest before the official launch.
  4. Well you ask for it so here it goes: Dear Bioware, Thanks for keeping me waiting in limbo with no idea when I will get access. Thanks for the frustration of seeing a tiny percentage of players get access and then thanks for letting me view the server status which presently lists all the servers at 'Light' load. Given I still dont have access thanks for nothing!
  5. I've given up on getting any access because I only pre-ordered last weekend. That said, I woke up at 5.30am in the UK and majority of the servers have been at 'Light' load. I could be getting started but its obviously not going to happen. What I need to know is what day I am likely to get early access if any. Sitting here keen to play and clicking 'check new mail' like a mad man isnt having a positive effect on my state of mind.
  6. From my own perspective not getting to play straight away isnt an issue. Its the not knowing and checking my email like a mad man that is the disgruntling thing.
  7. I'm sort of divided about this issue. I bought a Mac many years ago and loved it. Before it bit the dust I decided I wanted to play AoC which the Mac struggled to run under boot camp so I bought a PC which I use to this day. I presently have Mac OSX setup on a separate hard drive which I used to play WoW and whilst I prefer to use that OS it must be said that Windows offers a better gaming experience. Open GL seems like it is in dire need of being updated especially when you consider the power of DirectX 11. Having said that given the rise of people buying Macs it would be a sound financial move to get a native macosx client developed. I notice that with WoW for example that the Mac team is quite small so all Bioware need to do is hire people with experience of porting windows games to mac. Although, right now, I would suggest concentrating on getting the game going smoothly.
  8. I love the way the people I was planning to enjoy the game with already have access while I don't. This is one ****ed up start. Im going to bed and thanks for nothing BW.
  9. Well having spent all day waiting for an email that never arrived I wish I had waited and bought the game upon release day. I don't mind if I don't get in today or tomorrow but being kept in limbo like this is very disheartening. This isn't exactly how I wish to remember my first experience of SWTOR. So when BW eventually sends me an email I will have probably ditched the game for something less frustrating. GG on the communication. /wave
  10. You know I realise some people might disagree but the last time I checked we all paid a fee for early access. This FIFO system is highly unfair, a lottery system would have been much fairer. Its true to say that if I don't get at least a few days early access then I am going to be extremely pissed off. Given the fact that I PAID for it. So many people are going on as if they are doing us a favor here. Come release day expect PAIN: queues and server problems.
  11. ^ A potential proletariat ( quite amazed to see someone who thinks capitalism is pure evil) < I am a proletarian \/ probably some bourgeois
  12. I pre ordered and received my code a few days ago, so who do I have to sleep with to jump the queue? I need to play.. my urge to play is becoming medicinal. I can get a doctors note if that will help.
  13. Nice work. I was wondering which skills complimented each other the most.. EDIT: So to confirm you can have a total of 3 skills at anyone time? Why isnt slicing good for anything?
  14. I only pre ordered and put my code in a few days ago. I know many people will disagree but I think Last in First Out should apply here I'm itching to get started.
  15. Yeah same here.. Im itching to play.. grr
