  1. 5$ to pre-order 5X number of pre-oders = million+ dollars
  2. ok then why not just have the its say istead of "Pre-order and get early access" have it say Pre-order and have chance to play early" Ill tell you why, because they would get less preoders and less pre order = less money. It was a money grab deal with it. they know what they are doing/did it was a smart move to make money. but shows what their priorities are in terms of the customer.
  3. Its just shows what type of company they are that's all, they don't have their customers best interest in mind. and it might not effect you now, but i wouldn't expect these tactics to stop. and im sure you'll be the victim at some point. and we'll see how much you like it then i guess. Its just a bad way to start off a relationship thats all. they could have done a much better job.
  4. cool post man, you came up with that all by yourself?
  5. did you read my post i said i take full responsibility. if you read my post you wouldn't have made such a useless post yourself. Im saying that EA/corporation know these things and if they wanted to they could have made it much more clear to EVERYONE what was going to happen. but they saw more dollars in doing it the way they did. they literally made millions of dollars already. we all paid the same price, yet not everyone got the same in return.
  6. And that right there is part of the trick, EA knows dam well that the majority of people pre-ordering wouldn't click that "more details" link. and they take full advantage of that fact. i've used similar tactics while developing interfaces for corporate websites. and shame on me for falling for it. if they really wanted people to know that like wouldn't exist and the info would be right there. its in their interest to take advantage. you can't really blame them but its shady none the less. i just sometime forget how corporate some game companies have become, and just don't expect it sometimes.
  7. If you really believe that then it is you who is clueless. EA is a huge corporation, they do case studies and test on how people behave and purchase their goods etc... they know how to squeeze as much money put of people as possible and that exactly what they did here. simple as that.
  8. I've work in marketing for corporation and i know how it works, this was a great way for them to make some easy cash, and it paid off big time for them. but its a bad way to start off a relationship with your customers. game hasn't even fully launched and they are already running schemes. doesn't look good for the future of the game.
  9. it couldn't have been that clear if so many people were unaware of it. like i said everyone knew about the extra 2 days? if they wanted us to know we all would have known. they have no problem getting the the info they want us to get, that all i'm saying. they knew they could squeeze a bunch more pre-orders out by doing it this way and it worked, made a easy million dollars. i can't blame them, its just sucks they did it this way.
  10. First I'd like to say that i take full responsibility for my disappointment. I didn't read any info(fine print) regarding the EGA, and just assumed everyone would be able to play at the same time. I am disappointed because i was very impressed with this game and was excited to start playing, is that so wrong? Everyone should know what it feels like to anticipate something really fun/exciting only to not have those expectation met. its not a big deal but it sucks non the less. Now when i say Bioware did this on purpose, i mean that they purposely didn't make it clear to all their pre-order customers that they might not be getting in with everyone else. especially those who ordered after the open beta weekend. They would have received allot less pre-orders if people had known this fact. if say 200 thousand people ordered late then that's still a easy million dollars right there (i'd bet its was even more than that). Its not like they had any problem informing their customers, they had no problem letting everyone know that the EGA was starting 2 days early(saw this news on many websites, and twitter...everyone knew). yet so many people were unaware that they wouldn't be part of those 2 days, why is this? who gained more from this information not being clear, definitely not us customers. not once while i was punching in my credit card info or filling out my pre-order was it boldly stated that i wouldn't be getting in with the rest of the pre-order customers(its not like they didn't have this planned out, they could have clearly stated the date i would get access). I follow bioware on twitter and visit the forum regularly and still i had no idea. you really think this was an accident, when their were literally millions of dollars to be made? It was a money grabbing scheme simple as that and i fell for it...ohwell. Touche EA..Marketing tricks at it finest...Can't wait to play....
