If it was implemented the way you wish, i would never ever use it. I am tired enough of those Elitist who are not elitist but would push away someone they think not good to join them. Not every activity must be subject to high level of competence. Why simply not use the tool to group and help people who usually hesitate to join a group ? I dont include end game in that. I totally understand the need for competent and willing to progress for operations of high levels, BUT come on a world boss ? a FP ? Story mode ??? (those can be soloed with a robot) Actually the gear level (rating) is shown on tooltip and that's enough for FP

To answer to the OP : While the game is made for player + companion, you can do what you want, keep the companion or just ignore them totally, as you can ignore or dismiss or use the robot helper in instances. To each is own. But do not complain then that the game is way to hard for solo at lv 50, and way up to the end. Some fights are indeed very easy but some others if you dont have a healer, or tank or dps to help you survive, you will not. Of course i dont speak of story mode instances. Personally, as i love the game with companion, i have them more often, even if sometimes i put them on follow. And on a pure gaming basic, i love achievements and those are also part of achievements. Also if you keep your companion at a low level influence this is true that they will not be competitives, All the companions i like (either the look, the story, the race ...) are 50, maxed influence.

Our forums are sometimes nasty, but if i may say, coming on game well known for stories with companion, and arguing that the game is not well balanced because you dont want a companion is totally out of reason. Yes some answers are ironics, but its well deserved, as some of the arguments of the poster, were more arguing than trying to get an answer Or was he trolling ? --------------- and dont forget that SWTOR has seen a big numbers of WOW players coming to the game. When you played WOW for some times and tried to play it again recently, you even know through the posts and langage who is who. WOW is the worst community ever. And yes SWTOR Is not perfect but in game you will find a great number of helpfull people. Dont expect that in WOW, where the new players are told to leave if they dont know ow to play.

Because there is no tracking of tasks to be performed. The announcements for the event are always late, and we have to ask for it almost every month. There has been some devs trying to follow tasks but that never lasted long. I've noticed over the years that any ideas put together by * new Devs * are quickly scrapped. Beside the events, the most glaring is the listing for uncorrected bugs created in August 2021. On the whole listing there is 2 bugs fixed ... and since no more follows from the devs. I have the strange feeling that all the goodwill get tired of SWTOR, and I'm not talking about players here, but Devs. If they had ever enjoyed working for SWTOR, we would surely feel it. Personally I was particularly disappointed with December 20, 2021. Nothing at all. Just the usual. It makes you wonder if SWTOR realized that the year had changed. January 8 2022 and not much from the Devs ..... even concerning Kai selling nothing.

Actually the RPM or OEM are sold by large quantities, and if i want to sell those i need to put those at low price aka 30M. I had to put those several 3 days to finally get 30m, and by the time i got those the items i wished were gone. So i do not see there a point. I am not there to stand near the gtn to watch the prices go up and down. So i do not see here any profit for me when some can sell those OVER 60M ..... the market is going wrong because some sells and buys between themselves and decide of the price and value of items. Some days, you can have 5 pages of 1 item at 1B, 3 days later, the items goes down to 100m and up again, and though i do not see the buyer name i see who is selling. I decided last week to sells some items at 1 credit. About 90 items at 1 credit. and i will redo it. if i can cut a high price, i do it, not by 1credit as some do but i cut the price in half, and i go on and on. But those RPM OEM are a plague. I have no desire to spend my techs. I would really prefer to keep them and do what i want when i need, and not be forced to sell them to then go back to a farming again.

(not certain that on PTS all colour, hair style, exsist so i post below) - Comparing with Live, i miss the hair style 61, hair color 11 - grey ish (the color i have on Live given the same number is totally different), and i miss eyes color too. So my actual characters from Live, will have the hairs and colors changed on 7.0 ? I still have beard when i am creating my feminine character. The colors given while at creation are totally different and fade once in game. The choice of hair i have that is usually great in live, looks more like having a dirty mop on the head The light over our head does not help at all. If you want to give us light, put spots above behind and on sides - For now i go on, i am lv 4 ... but those difference at creation are worring me Abilities trainer I am used when i go on a new character, to check as a reminder when i will have the abilities. Trainers at GNarl gives a different level than what is happening. I would really love to be able to see the level at which i will unlock a skill I am 10 and i finally get my more important skill (for me) the shadow skill i will try to come back tomorrow, but i fear that testing more push me really away of the game (( i will take probably the risk to get all the bugs at launch. Anyway its not like if they will be corrected seeing the time left.

Excepted that not all players are going for endgame. I have nothing to do of mats for end game. So if they remove credit, i see no intensive to play the game if my only reward is concerning end gamers. I use credits to buy mats to raise my crafting, to buy things on gtn like pets, mounts, to unlock my Legacy perks. Limit those and well, rather close the game then. And until recently, all the mats for the end gaming was the most expensive. I am now with a stock pile of rpm oem that i refuse to sell for nothing but also dont want to sell to high, so they are sitting in my crafting bag. And i have no use of those, i would love to spend my techs on different sets, but those are gated class so .... no interest either. If you want to limit things, make the decorations drop only from any mobs but BOL, or legacy. Actually the prices on decoration are out of orbit, even for a simple bed

You are all so true!!! and i would add they dont even take the time to test the colors on different armors. How many dyes i would have bought but did not because depending of the style of the armor/gear, the result was totally different and transforming the colour. And if you speak of the basic, why Black can look brown or dirty brown, and white beige passed away depending of the armor ?

Did some change happened ? i could always place Treek in my stronghold before, but today even while i am having Treek near me, when i search on the listing, its says i do not own Treek, Any idea why ? Thank you

As i have 4 accounts, i own all the stronghold of the game. But as i added this new account, i cant decide which one would be good to get to be more representative of SWTOR I will have all the class, but mostly will play jedi and probably 1 trooper. (no sith, as i was sadened by each end of story before) Which one would you go for ?

Thanks for answering but to this day, i still not have a direct and clear answer concerning the old set and class gating. On the test i did, with a lv 80, the old set 75 can be worn BUT it is still labeled Required Jedit Knight ....... so it seems that the article you quoted speak only of the possibiity to mismatch and use those as outfit ON the character owning the set right ? Or any alt who would be also the same class. But you can not use the old set as any armor for any class right ? so its still gated, and when i bought the smuggler set, i just did something stupid as i will never use it in fact.

Actually with some changes made by the Devs i fear SWTOR will become more individualist and less going toward helping. Removing little things like buffs is for me at least, a very bad move. Passing by a player and throwing some good buffs was always a good move and helping new comers. Now, its like if Devs were saying to them *fend for yourself* or leave. i met very nice people with a simple gesture as buffing. Now its to each is own. At least its the message swtor send me. There was a time where we could give stuff freely to others, now its over, all is bound or bound to legacy. Now buffs are Legacy too. SWTOR for me is loosing slowly by slowly is soul to become just another selfish MMO

Sentinel primary. The sets Descent of the fearless is still fully actif, with buffs and tacticals Do the quest A change in the force. Choose shadow as second combat. If i swtich to the second combat of course and its normal the set is unequiped. If i go back to sentinel, sets can be used with all the buffs again. Could i get some more precise info please about the use of the old sets and tacticals ? Will they be still gated by classes ? And will they be of any use ? Created a lv 1, boosted to 80, equiped with old set 75 : buffs removed. Class gating still in applied. Tactical and implants and augment still working fine. ------ Too bad i was badly adviced to still get the old set and equip them. Because those even bound to legacy do not work for other characters. The best is to mods a sha'teck armor with augment, that way if you level several characters, you can just swap the armor

I will always remember the day i could finish all the datacrons, and the fleet ones!. I was and still am a very bad jumper. For some of those i spent sometimes several days trying to succeed. And i did but some others, husband did them for me, when i was over 1 month trying and he thought i would pull my hairs way too much. Yes i am that bad at jumping. 10 years later, i decided to start a new account and do again all the datacrons, including the added ones. And i am sooo proud. The only ones i could not do alone was Makeb (the long ones with a lot of platform), and the ones in Onderons. So husband did 3 datacrons for me some days ago. The game has challenging me over the years, as i became gran'ma and much older But my fondest memories on this game are people. There is always bad apples, but i can count them on my two hands I have been helped, pushed to go further, explained, and i could give back. We are not the perfect community, but in the end, we are still a good one. And you can still put smiles on my face, so its all that matter for me. So i want to thank you all for making this game great!

I would go back if it was like as their first launch, with a new community. The one owning the game now is more than a hell for me. WoW is no more the Dev game, but only the players game and unfortunatly the most horrible mentality ones. I went back when they relaunched it, feed by all the fond memories, left after a week, deleted everything and asked blizzard to supress my accounts (4). That was heartbreaking to see what the game had become.

Thought so, but the only item alike is the snow blower for the house. No cannon ball. And i think after beeing reminded that it costed 500cc last time i got it.

arghh .... so i am not forced to wait the launch to prepare some new characters ? i was told that only new characters would benefit of the new combat style. (or i understood that at least). So lets imagine, i level 1 class and decide to do the 3 chapters without choosing my first combat style, Would it be good for the launch ? Or i can still level the class i want for 7.0 and make the swith when good. Or i am totally lost ? Will there be a difference between a pure new lv 1 and a lvel up to the 3 chapters without combat style choosen) ? can i level new characters now ? (went en pts but that lost me even more)
