  2. Yea, spam click the hell out of it. Worked like a charm first try. I was warned before hand when I watched a video on how to get it, so thats how I knew. Now the datacron thats a real issue, is that one on Alderaan. Type 3 and type 4 body sizes can not fit in the crack to go up the stairs to get it. Unless you have someone with intercede or force pull, you can't get it.

  4. Same here! I was rage and always rage, and almost NEVER used Quinn. I was smart with my abilities and I have to say I did very well lvling with Vette and Jaesa. I didn't die much. The smash talents are great because in PvE all mobs are in at least tight groups of 3 so you can start off with a huge advantage hitting them all in one smash. Obfuscate is great in FP because you can get mobs off squishies quicker and get around a lot quicker (even when it comes to companions). Sure it's only 10 meters but its sufficient. At first I didnt like force crush but it grew on me, and was more useful then I thought it would be especially since it works with the smash talents. I love unbreakable rage and strangulate for no pushback on force choke and ravage (big move in your arsenal.) The increased damage/critical strike for vicious slash, which is pretty much your bread and butter. Shii-Cho mastery is awesome, +20% armor penetration helps no matter what you fight. Finally, undying rage has saved my *** so many times. -30 sec CD is a huge help anywhere. Pair it with a medpac in those OH **** moments and you will hardly die. Obviously there are many things I like about rage. I havnt tried the other styles yet because they dont seem to appeal to me, and this one just really suits my playstyle it seems. But it also depends on what level you hit planets. Marauders in general should be at least -1 lvl or equal to the mission/mobs you are fighting - regardless of spec. Also, Marauders are very gear dependent. So these 2 thing are separate issues that you ALWAYS have to keep in mind.

  7. That all sounds good on paper, however when applied to the actual game, it really doesn't translate like that at all. Marauders are easy to kill compared to other classes. I'm not just talking about personal experience, but based on any marauder I have seen on mine or other team (huttball) and any Sentinels on the pubs side. Also, based on everything you read on here. We at times are a laughing stock. This is also all based on lvl 50 pvp and before there was a bracket. In 1-49 we can do very well but thats because everyone is pretty much equal. Once in that 50 bracket, it's a whole another game for how ever many reasons one wants to speculate.
  8. Yea I have to agree... Honestly i'm starting to think we are indeed the most disadvantaged class in PvP. It's very frustrating at times.
  9. Like someone else said, we are very gear dependent. We are at a disadvantage and do seem to have to work harder for certain things. Doing the dailys are the best bet for the armoring and mod upgrades. There is one that gives enhancement rewards too however I chose to go with other options then the ones that are given. Also, the daily commendation vender is a great source which you said you already used so that was good. Only other advice I can say is surf the GTN as much as you can for good stuff. As far as key bindings go, I have a regular mouse and keyboard. I binded my middle button to force charge, and right button to normal attack (the rage builder.) That alone works wonders for me. On a side note, I'm at the point where I feel like Cloak of Pain should somehow be changed to a passive ability or talent since you pretty much HAVE to use it, or else. It would have to be changed of course, though. It's not right that something that's supposed to be a utility is instead a requirement. But thats another story...
  10. Yea, wait until you do some lvl 50 pvp... you would think YOU have light armor and SI have medium.
  11. Considering how many droids are in the game, i'm very happy to have a CC like that. It's nothing to complain about.
  12. and how many of those hours they have downtime are you sleeping...? The bring the servers down during the LEAST played time spans, almost always at night when many many people sleep. MAJORITY > ALL OF YOU (in singular sense)
  13. I also don't like the option for the poll, because they are all untrue. Its not terrible at all, it was definitely a step in the right direction. I do just think it's a little flashy for my class (Marauder) personally. I also don't like that abilities are still grayed out but are available to use. It's very confusing knowing if its lying to me or what. I'm click abilities based on familiarity as of now, not even based on the highlights or whatever.
  14. It's not meant to work in pvp. Which I honestly think is ridiculous... You can use it immediately after force jump, or use it with force crush. Jaesa has an AOE smash that slows targets which allows you to use it for awhile. EDIT: Strongest attack in the game? Not at all... doesn't it only top out at 1300 or so on strong targets? I think you are thinking of pommel strike which can hit VERY hard.
  15. Yep, these are all true and valid points. I'm not entirely sure it will 100% fix things, but I think we can at least come at others a lot harder using more of our better abilities instead of wasting time constantly using the regular attack and the other abilities on significant cooldowns while we get blown to hell. I figured our skill would still have to come into play when managing HOW to use our rage we have, since really it's obvious the only handful of moves we know we have to use to even do anything. Like how a player handles his fuller rage bar would be up to the player to string the correct combo of moves based on talents that lower rage usage, CD usage and all other factors. Technically you can only use one rage move every 4 seconds because of the constant draining to 0. Just really trying to figure something fair out for us. Its just really tricky.
  16. After doing a lot of thinking and reading and experimenting (have a lvl 50 Marauder myself - my main and only character) I think I have a good idea for a fix to solve a lot of issues. Instead of extra abilities, instead of heavy armor, instead of better defense against other classes abilities, instead of increasing our overall damage to abilities... just give us a passive ability to generate rage OUTSIDE of abilities. Generating rage is not that big a deal in PvE but when it comes to PvP I think this would make all the difference. Keep it simple... Passive ability: Generate 2 rage when attacked - can not occur more than once within 5 seconds. Now i'm not familiar with Juggernauts, but of course you can make it a class thing, not advanced class thing if needed. But considering our role and having medium armor, I do feel this could be fair to Marauders alone since Juggernauts have heavy armor. Regardless, this isn't the point so whichever way is fine. In PvP, we use way too much time with abilities to simply just build rage before we can even output our actual DPS. All other classes have instant button presses to do equal or better damage. Then throw in CC and such, it pushes us back further. I think this simple and fair change would really help all around without being overpowered. What does everyone think?
  17. I like to change outfits and try to look cool as I find new pieces. I almost have the start of a ”wardrobe“. All you have to do is get extra mods and put them in whatever clothes you want to switch in and out of. Theres no need to remove them every time and switch. The amount of money you will spend removing will be far greater than just surfing the GTN or redoing heroics for those mods you want.

  19. As a marauder in Huttball, I feel useless sometimes. We are at such a disadvantage compared to other classes. I didnt have problems in the 1-49 bracket at all, but once you hit the 50's, it's a whole new game. It gets real aggravating, honestly. The other 2 warzones, again no real problem. But Huttball in the 50's bracket just sucks usually, especially against teams of 50%+ sorcerers. :-/
  20. Had this problem for long time awhile back but I ended up fixing it with the “compatibility in XP service pack 3” method. There are threads about this in the customer service - you are definitely not alone.
  21. 400% is ridiculous. In fairness to the game, speeders should go from tier 1-3... 100% -> 115% -> 130%. I think thats very reasonable, and even lower than what most would want. It's a very fair asking price, at least without being greedy. It would make a difference though. OR make sprint stackable with mount speeds. So at least the downfall of aggroing mobs while on the speeder, you lose 35% speed until out of combat. That may even be better.
  22. I can understand why they did this - it can be exploited. If you have a bunch of marauders in your group, and you chain this ability with precise timing, the raid boss would never put a dent into the group. Certain ones I suppose that is...

  24. I used to be against us getting heavy armor, because we were supposidly big damage outputters and I didnt think it would be balanced. But now that I see how WEAK in terms of damage we are compared to other classes, heavy armor is the ONLY way to make up for it. Unless they boost our base damage from abilities, I don't see another option. I'm starting to get extremely frustrated. We are just so screwed at the moment between lack of gear we CAN even use, and being weak to boot. :-/
  25. Holy crap have you people never played an MMO before? Even if you haven't which is perfectly fine, are you seriously complaining that they are regularly trying to improve and attain server stability for either fixing issues or just routine cleaning? Do you guys own cars? Homes? Appliances? Guns? A lot of things in life require maintenance to keep running smoothly. Hell, COMPUTERS can use routine maintenance. The amount of hours of downtime to up time per month is beyond lopsided. This is ONLY to ensure the time it IS up, STAYS up and runs smoothly. EDIT: Sorry, i'm just getting really frustrated with all the negativity on the boards.
