  1. I've tried that, and it's very similar to my current build. The only difference in my build is dropping Parallactic Combat Stims and Burnout and picking up Nightvision Scope and Steely Resolve. I found the extra ammo when stunned to not be very beneficial, since I rarely have ammo issues, and catching people in stealth can be so clutch! As for Burnout, by the time I get someone to 30% they're almost always dead within a few seconds, so the extra 30% periodic damage is negligible. I see this talent really shining on operation bosses where that 30% hp takes minutes to whittle down. Your build is great, and the differences can be boiled down to personal preference. I'm hitting 500k dmg in pre-50 wz's with mine and could probably do very similar numbers with yours.
  2. I haven't played in a few weeks, and now I'm noticing ridiculous damage output in pre-50 WZ's. So, were we buffed recently? Thanks.
  3. I think Vette is the better companion for general questing and class quest bosses of the two. Her dps is excellent, she won't take damage from mob aoe attacks, and she has zero dps downtime while switching targets, unlike Jaesa. Most importantly, you only need to upgrade one set of gear between Vette and Quinn, and you will likely need him for healing during tough fights or group quests. It will save you time and credits you could instead use to upgrade yourself.
  4. I leveled my first Sith warrior light side and I'm now up to 38 on a dark side warrior. Some of the significant differences I've noticed are that you can circumvent a few class quest fights completely or make others easier by enlisting the help of people you would have killed with dark side choices. Many of the light side dialogue choices with Jedi seem very manipulative and it was fun watching them squirm with confusion. They don't know how to act around a Sith who doesn't try to outright kill them, and it produces some entertaining results. Another difference is that a couple characters you choose to spare will make appearances later in the story. Also, if you go light side the conversations you have will generally be longer since you won't be choosing the option to attack early on. Even though you often have to fight anyways, it makes the characters you fight more interesting because you actually hear what they have to say and learn about them before you kill them. If you've already leveled a dark side warrior, I'd say there are enough differences to make leveling your next one light side more interesting.
  5. What companion are you using? When I did it I kited while Vette did most of the work. If you alternate between yourself and her having aggro it should work well.
  6. I tried equipping my DS Jaesa with items marked as Inquisitor yesterday and it didn't work. It seems any items with a class requirement can only be equipped by actual players of that class. I hope they change it!
  7. Yep. The "1 Pending" in the screenshot is actually the quest reward window for talking to him, so you don't even need to completely finish the quest to talk to him before he responds with that line. Haha, I was so worried when he told me that before I had picked an AC. I thought maybe I messed it up and no longer had the choice. Hordedog - If I was given the option to freeze the character in carbonite and display it on one of my other characters' ships, I would have! Trying to learn these marauder skills at 50 all at once hasn't been fun. The several hundred thousand credit bill I couldn't afford is definitely better to pay over 40 levels. I also don't understand the fixation on my mail. I'm up to 64 unread messages now.
  8. Enoch - my last post was only about 12 hours ago. I'll be around, since I'm not going to be banned for not botting. What's with the 52 mail = bot? I did open my mailbox frequently. After opening it, I'd check the box for all the ones with items/credits and hit the "Get all Attachments" button and close the window. I didn't care to read them or delete them, so the unread message counter on the UI never went down. I'll read them eventually. I appreciate your skepticism, but you've gone a bit far declaring it impossible. I can't imagine what you'll say once I or someone else posts a video of an AC-less warrior soloing the class quest bosses. As for the tutorial window, once I minimized it, it never bothered me and I never thought about it again. It's good to know I can disable it though. Wolfwynd - I haven't tested it, but I can't see how an immortal juggernaut would be harder to level. You get heavy armor and extra stats from a generator offhand, not to mention all the talents and juggernaut specific skills. That being said, kick and pummel strike hit harder than most AC skills. I used them every possible time, and given that they can only be used within a short window, I imagine many juggernauts don't even use them and that might have made leveling for me easier than for such a jugg. Walex - I didn't try pvp until after the 50 bracket was created. I think my best game was before level 25 where I managed 6 medals and 160k damage. It was all downhill from there and I was completely worthless at 50. I'd average 60k damage and 2-3 medals a match. Friarchuggs - Not having an AC means the only skills you get are the ones under the Sith Warrior tab in the ability window. There is no access to the shared talent tree. Cheyanna - Haha, I wonder what he had to say. I'm on Warriors of the Shadow. Kytok - I remember questing on Balmorra with you! Thanks for the support.
  9. My first character to 50 was an operative which I leveled as a healer the whole way. In many respects I found that more difficult that this. I wiped many more times on the level 30 class quest elite than I did on any for the warrior, probably because I had better gear on the warrior and a better understanding of game mechanics even if lacking skills. I definitely agree with you on the strongs. During the final class quest on Corellia, I died more times to those strong mob pairs on the way to Lord 2.0 than I did to him. They hit Very hard. I actually used Vette for everything but Baras. Since my dps was so low, the strategy I found most effective was to grab initial aggro and then kite/los while Vette burned the mobs down. She'd eventually retake aggro and often die on the class quest elites, but by then the mob would be so low I could finish it off before dying. When I make another warrior to be a juggernaut, I'll postpone the AC for a while and fraps some of the class quest fights! They were pretty fun, though frustrating at times.
  10. Doing all the quests on the planets and a little pvp and space combat kept me 1-3 levels above each planet until Voss. With current level gear for me and Vette, and some player skill, it was done. I'm sure you're perfectly capable of doing it too if you ever felt so inclined.
  11. It was greyed out until I finally completed the quest at 50 to talk to the AC trainer. After that the talent tree button flashed and clicking on it prompted the "Select AC" window. Gokkus - I did group with people for heroic quests, and I'd say 90% of them never noticed I didn't have an AC, and they seemed to assume I was a juggernaut by the single saber. From the other 10% I got some pretty hilarious responses: up to 20, people were generally amused that I hadn't decided. Around 30 a group member told me he was going to relog because he thought his client was bugged due to my AC not displaying for him. Another group member told me "you must be female because only females over-complicate such decisions." On Hoth a guy thought I wouldn't even have my class ship if I didn't choose an AC. I can confirm you do get your ship! I never did a flashpoint - wasn't mean enough to subject a group to my sub-tank level dps. Irishbrewed - At first, it was simple indecision. Once I hit Belsavis though things became much tougher, and I was so close to 50 I wanted to see if I could do it. Erevan - You're awesome, I love the petition idea! Full disclosure - I just picked marauder. Sorry to everyone who wanted me to stay a warrior, but I couldn't stand the idea of never using the character again after going through all that, so I made the decision. A title for anyone who gets to 50 without an AC would be great though. Perhaps I should do it again, on another class? haha
  12. Yes! Many people complain about having too many abilities as a mara/jugg, but staying as a warrior solves that issue. The generic warrior skills work well on most mob packs. Pommel Strike, Kick and Ravage are generic skills and they hit really hard. After Charge>Kick>Smash>Pommel Strike>Ravage everything is almost dead. Other than Ravage I couldn't use those on the yellow mobs and class quest bosses, so the only way for me to beat them was to let Vette burn them down while I kited and LoS'd. Since I depended on Vette so much, it really sucked during the class quest on Tatooine when the Jedi knocked her out for the fight. Traitor X also incapacitated her in the fight before Corellia, but after the conversation she was up and fighting with me, lucked out there (bug?). To that one guy, having 52 unread messages doesn't mean anything. Most of those are from past quest givers, which I usually don't read. If the title doesn't interest me, I ignore it. I suppose I should utilize the delete button more.
  13. Never pick an AC?! Just leave the 50 Sith Warrior as an epic trophy? Haha, I definitely couldn't do anything else with it! I don't know...I'm leaning toward marauder now, but...still can't decide!
  14. I haven't done any flashpoints yet, not even Black Talon, and I think I was around valor rank 17 when I hit 50. I mainly leveled through solo questing, and used Vette for everything except Baras since I did less damage than a jugg tank, lol...
