  1. Eh, I think that PTS version of PT tank has still the best passive mitigation, even better than live version with Mandalorian Iron and Contracted Defense passives. The problem this discipline has always had is the lack of DoT and internal/elemental damage mitigation, as well as the lack of tools to mitigate short period heavy burst damage. Increasing the shield chance can't solve this problem, heals on Power Yield is a step in the right direction tho, and I don't think that referring to the name of the spec or class makes any sense here, like wth PowerTech is supposed to mean? (Mandalorian Combat Style sounds much better;)) My suggestions for Shield Tech survivability would be: 1. Energy Yield cleanses all negative effects after reaching 5 stacks. 2. Give us Sonic Rebounders on self as a baseline Sonic Missile buff, so we could have a reflect when we need it. 3. Reduce the CD on Determination (breaker) to the same CD as every mezz to avoid the annoying mezz+selfheal cheese of Opers, Mercs and Sorcs (I think this should be a must for every non-DwH class) Suggestions for Heavy Flamer choice to make it feel something more than a RP gimmick pick: 1. The damage should be a bit higher than Firestorm: stretching out the same damage to 3s channel is a DPS loss. 2. Every 15 sec Heavy Flamer stuns the targets for 2 sec if they are affected by your taunts. 3. Shatter Slug slows the targets by 70% for 3 sec The second and third utilities can get some nice combos and choices for offensive/defensive use of your taunts and slows and they guarantee that at least some of the channel damage will be applied.
  2. Can we stop this old vs new player feedback thing here? Let's go back to more important things, such as why can't pt tanks be as good as the other 2 in raiding, and more importantly for me, who the hell thought that this is super fun and cool idea to let some classes stun you and let you watch em self heal in PvP, or that some classes should be the punching bags in 1v1 and super OP with guard/pocket heals and that it's not gonna break the balance in any way

Alright, had a few duels against a merc (mostly Arsenal) with my pt scank tank and a few on AP (lost all the times lol) I usually play tank spec and I'm obviously not the best PT PvP player but I've got some solid experience IMO (12500 player kills on my PT main char, I mostly play unranked) First off, I'd like to notice that there is still no counterplay to being mezzed a few times in a row: even with utility, breaker cd is at least 35s longer than Concussion Missile (or any other mezz), which means the second time you get mezzed you just gonna watch your opponents heal themselves without being able to do anything about it, there were duels where I got mezzed 3 times in a row. Second, the Firestorm/Heavy Flamer damage feels underwhelming, and the channeled variation needs both utility and damage to compensate for the fact that it is a standing still channel, otherwise, the choice doesn't feel balanced, there is no tradeoff for the mobility loss and risks of escapes and interrupts during the channel except that channel looks cool and instant cast looks meh. In general, the survivability of a tank spec feels good, but it gets countered with mezz+selfheal combo, so it's still not as good as DwH classes, the damage feels underwhelming. Speaking of AP, well, it still feels like a glass cannon: I could survive the Electro Net and get him almost to 0 but then he popped a few CD's and I'm dead xD (I don't play DPS specs frequently tho so I may be missing something) Didn't try Pyro in duels cuz I felt like it's gonna be the same experience as AP)
  4. That channeled flamethrower looks very cool and getting heals on PY is nice but can we have the ability descriptions in a skill tree? I have no idea what am I supposed to choose xD

  6. PT's and VG's right now feel kind of shoehorned in this melee glass cannon type and it's not something that fits their archetypes IMO. Hitting hard feels good, but that is the only thing they are good at and it makes the class feel one-dimensional, I wish that to be changed somehow.
  7. Try to get the Emergency Power set bonus, it will add a few sec to your survivability, and for such a bursty spec those seconds can make a huge difference. A lot of PT/VG mains who play ranked say this is the best set for SR.
  8. Holy crap Hatred is a beast, you can make Eradicate deal all its damage in 1 sec and cast it 3 times in a row with the right utility. With Quick Escalation tactical and 2 Death Fields on top of that the damage is huuuge.... and I like it:D Didn't try the other specs yet but this one is much better than live, that's for sure.

  10. Superheated Fuel baseline maybe? We know that current tacticals won't work at 76+ lvl, and that tactical is a must for Pyro in any content, it is also the most useful tactical for tanks in PvP, and AP's damage won't be affected by buffed flame attacks because they just don't use them. And if PTs are going to lose their Stealth Scan, maybe they should get more passive stealth detection? At least Mercs can spam Sweeping Blasters for the same effect but PTs will have nothing. Agree with ditching Translocate 100%
  11. Please don't. I love UR arenas because you don't have to run meta, be tryhard, and people in regs are much more chill and friendly than those who play ranked.

  13. It's because things like cloaks and capes are expected to have folds all over them, otherwise, they give an impression of a very thick material (yoga mat ). Smaller folds give an impression of thin material, bigger folds (or absence of them) make it look thicker, smooth edges on folds represent soft material, and more defined and sharper edges make a rough material impression. Look at the Reclusive Master's Robes from behind for comparison, those look much better.
  14. I remember when I didn't know how to do it the group explained this to me and waited for me to try a few times, and this is how I do when someone is new to this. To be honest, I really like the "bouncing off the edge" part of it, the only problem with it is the glitch that makes you use your /stuck when you go straight at the cornice and not at the pilaster, with that fixed, it won't be so annoying.
  15. Well, it still needs to be done, or else why keeping the multiplayer part of the game? Imagine spending a huge amount of time and cartel coins on your char to find out it's trash.
  16. Yea, I like that idea, Searing Wave and Flame Sweep is enough for flamethrowing abilities, and Flame Burst can be replaced with some blaster shooting ability with elemental dmg. And if Searing Wave will become a speeded-up Flame Thrower (not a channel, but something like Ravage) it would be even better.
  17. Dude, that was a 2018 post, and back then it was very true. And I think the gun isn't going anywhere cuz Cartel Market. But still, just carrying it without using feel very weird.
  18. StarCraft, Team Fortress, and most fighting games have an incredibly good asymmetrical balance)) It's not impossible, it's hard, but you just can't have a good multiplayer experience without balance.
  19. The so much pruned DPS Juggie on PTS that everyone's crying about still feels way more tanky than live PT

  21. You don't get anything from killing trash, and it's not that much fun fighting it. People just want to get to the boss asap to get the loot and flashpoint crates. Skipping is a game of its own, and I think that it would be cool if the devs would design flashpoints with different ways to get past the trash: you can fight it; "stealth run" it, not just by running in stealth to the boss (that's kinda boring), but by avoiding patrols, using terrain, jumps, etc; or by running asap from point A to point B and sealing the blast doors before you get overwhelmed. Instead of fighting skips, maybe designing FP mechanics around them would be more interesting.

Whatever they will do to the chats, players should not be allowed to moderate, it will 100% lead to the abuse of the moderation rights: trolls pretending to be the holy spirits till they get their "mod perks", Twitter warriors with no sense of humor who shut everyone down, it will be a total *****how. I like the current approach: chat appears to be no-filter, but you can ignore/report someone if you find their behavior being inappropriate.
