Sure I get that but if that type of character is just going to kill off anyone that angers them, they are just going to end up kiilling their alliance. Like imagine letting you kill Lana because your angry she didn’t do her job during this and therefore you don’t trust her to do her job well either. There’s some limits to how much the story makes sense with the choices given really. And is not that he didn’t trust the commander, is that if he did tell the commander, that’s it, Gemini would know he told the commander. They would cover their tracks, find the map without Theron and there goes the alliance. Him giving the map would have happened with or without him, given that it was Nathema, it wouldn’t have remained secret for long.

It is but I think it’s never been marketed well. I didn’t know how deep and big the game was filled with storytelling and cutscenes. As cool as the cgi promo trailers have been, they led me into believing thats all there was for story in this game. To this day I still see a lot of people asking on TOR instagram pics and youtubes if the game really has much story or not. They hardly show ingame footage of the story in trailers, they mostly show gameplay combat which in the end, doesn’t look well on video. I thought the combat looked uninteresting in video till I actually played it. If this game would actually market its vast amount of cutscenes and the customizations you can do on it, I think it would have grown a ton more given that is free to play. I only got the game cuz it was free and I figured to try it, little did I know this game had the story and videogame experience I wanted out of Star Wars.

I think it’s handled well tbh, much better than I anticipated. Im treated as the commander not called “outlander”. They respect me as such, my character does not bow to Malgus because I have authority as commander, I outrank him but sure lets pretend we are equal footing. Your not going to be suddenly put into the dark council or any empire stuff right away. You just got back with them. This is a prologue of you coming back, when the full story comes in you might join fully by the end of it your original faction. But right now they can’t put you right away with them when you can sabotage them. Not everyone’s characters feel like they are jedi or sith anymore so this is a way to make those characters still be their own thing.

I don’t find it so complicated, in Iokath is not Theron on the throne thing, must be someone else and he just uses that as a token opportunity to get the bad gang’s attention. They are only finding out they are being watched. Gemini leading everyone to Iokath makes obvious sense cuz she is built from there. Mind you, we should have gotten more help there if you chose to save Scorpio but alas. Anyway, Theron finds out we are being watched and finds out they are recruiting. How? He’s a spy and thats what he does, his contacts must have told him about the recruitments the order of zildrog was doing. Now the Umbara mission wasn’t so much about needing those crystals, it was more of a mission Theron had to do to prove the bad guys he was on their side. Basically the Umbara mission is just an orchestration. Something that would lead our commander to do a holomessage across the galaxy that would prove Theron does want to betray him. Also, I think it was pretty obvious he was not betraying you in Umbara when the line “I’ll do anything to protect you” is followed by the longest kiss possible if romanced. There’s also the fact what he shot hardly harmed Lana, the window, etc. Anyway moving to traitor among the chiss, NOW that Theron proved himself to these bad guys he is sent on a mission to find the map of the weapon they are going to use. It was crucial for Theron to do this because he would then know the location of where the bad guys are heading. If Theron had not infiltrated, gemini or someone else they would hire, would find the map, and activate zildrog while everyone is chillin in Odessen and then rip everyone, the end. Now that he has a location and all information of these bad guys, Theron has to prove to you what he has been doing and what is going on. And thus he left all that info on that ship. The problem with this story that makes it confusing is the timetables I would say. And then is also the big question, why didn’t he tell you? Well Gemini is shown to not fully trust Theron whe she says “I warned you about him” when Theron betrays them. This means Gemini must have been following his every path once he comes into play for them. That’s why he lets you find all that info on your own in the ship. So in summary, Theron telling you would risk the whole operation, he wouldn’t be the one to get the map, and the order would have succeeded fully. Now they shouldn’t have been a kill/leave death option in the first place because it makes 0 sense to do so. You would have been dead and everyone you loved if he had not done what he did. So yeah its an edgelord option. Now the decision to make him leave the alliance later makes sense and should be more of a common options for comps instead of kill ones but alas.

My Jedi knight didn’t take it, but my sith inquisitor did, because he and Ashara had talked about building a new reborn empire. But I wasn’t a fan of the speech if you pick it. Ultimately my character regrets the decision but thats part of the fun developinng a character. Don’t think I will pick it with any other of my characters though. I only went for it for inquisitor cuz it felt like the one that made the most sense, to go from dark council to emperor sort of thing.

While Kotfe/Kotet is the overall best executed and most unique story in the game for force users. I still recommend doing the first class stuff if you really care about the story and development of your character. Of course some people would tell you to death choices don't matter, but they do if you really like the roleplaying and developing the person your character is throughout the stories. And ultimately if you really want to feel like a smuggler, BH in those classes, your best be playing the class story instead. Tokens I only recommend if you want to create an alt for group content, pvp, etc. Or you can just use the master datacron, that boosts you 70 and you can freely do all the stories, no skipping and you can do any group content as well cuz your 70.

Yeah replayable main story, replayable SOR, replayable full story versions of umbara, chiss, nathema would also be great and Ossus. Sometimes you just want to try out specific moments with new outfits, so I'm surprised they haven't done it to give people more incentive to get outfits and weapons for specific moments.

This so much this. I kept wondering, why does he exist. Originally I would have posted Kaliyo here as well, but when playing kotfe with an agent that started to romance her and then broke up when she slept with another dude, I think the reunion between them was interesting. And ultimately the unique dialogue between them made me understand her more, specially when you stop kaliyo from blowing everything up. I really liked the resolution to their relationship and Im glad I was able to romance her again after even if they both know it may not last. So I really liked the compexity of it all. I don’t hate the jedi knight comps but I find them all boring tbh lol. As my first ever class story I wasn’t given a fun first impression with comps. But then I really liked when I started getting more characters in the story like Lana and Theron. I like Doc more now though with his return, so hopefully it will be the case for Scourge and Kira, Scourge just has so much potential that was never used. Other boring ones I found was Temple. They should have just done her as a chiss from the start.

- A very interesting story with great cinematic presentation like Kotfe buf now with pub vs imp. - More Jonas Balkar, (full romance, wink wink) - Theron interact more in the story with pubs, maybe with his mother, maybe his father or gnost dural or maybe even Jonas. - Likewise if you choose imp, there’s more Lana. But don’t make Lana pretend she’s all pub and knows all about them over Theron. That was ridiculous she contacted SIS and not Theron himself. - Keep letting us be the commander of the alliance, if you want to give a choice to not be anymore, then ok, but let us those that want to remain this way, stay. - An exclusive scene with the LI, be able to have at least a one on one scene with your LI, in your room or somewhere where they can chat. Even if they only ever pop up this one time only on the story. Because say you can’t fit Arcann in the story but those who romanced him can still get something. Bonus: Tea with Daeerun. Im excited either way for more story content!

I get what you mean but tbh I don't mind in this case, the character barely had any story time, his big stuff was just on an FP which didn't amount to much. It felt kinda of a waste of a character to just have him on Ilium stuff. This will actually give him plot relevance, and not just some skippable planetary arc stuff.

I think its a difficult situation for sure. As now that Lana and Theron are marriage options, they are now on the same level as vanilla companions. So Im not really expecting a vast amount of romance content for them. I still hope and want more for Theron, and I think we might get some, but I’m not expecting it to happen a lot. On the other hand, im looking forward to new romances because I like all my characters having a unique romance and, Jonas balkar, hello there. I do think however the start of jedi under siege should have been very different. Theron should have been the one to talk to you as a pub character at the very least or if romanced. Not really put in Lana there, it felt so weird to tell Lana hey I want to go pub again, and she has contacts with the SIS, like what the heck. They want to go back to having two different stories per faction, so it should have been like SOR prelude where pubs speak to Theron again. And if ypu pick sabotage empire, then Theron speaks more to you on the hug scene about the sabotage.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see anything concrete till April. Sw Celebration is on april I believe, so maybe they will drop a trailer there to drive in people back. Seems like the best way to promote big the game returning to imp vs pub.

Im seeing people reporting on it in social media and other social places on warrior and jedi knight, so might be universal class issue.

How about I loved Kotfe but im also still excited for this?

I started to redo the jedi knight story while Im also running kotfe again on my main jedi knight to put myself to the test. And honestly, I think I much rather do Kotfe and kotet again with same character than this class story. At least the prologue itself is probably my least favorite of all the classes. It is super rushed, you barely meet your master and suddenly your no longer a padawan. And Tython overall with the flesh raiders is just so uninteresting way to start. I felt all the other ones had an interesting twist to kick off your adventures and slowly make you progress the ranks. This is why I really liked Kotfe and Kotet a lot on my JK because it really made me be excited for the character and its more cinematic overall, and more impressive lighting, visuals that make your armor stand out more too.

Personally, Kotfe and Kotet feel more star warsy films the more I think about it. There’s a story about a family with the force, the alliance is like a rebellion against a greater power being formed, and you get a cast of unlikely heroes to join your rebellion. But at the same time, we are introduced to something fresh with Zakkul. And for my jedi knight, it felt like his true story. The only thing is, I agree Iokath was a bit much of a stretch and they went a little too mass effect for my liking with that. And the post Kotet Iokath story doesn’t do any favors either. I enjoy redoing kotfe/kotet more than the other expansions at this point though. Hutt Cartel I skip it all the time now after 1 run with each faction, I find it pretty boring and adds nothing to your characters. Shadow of Revan is good and always do it so far, but ultimately feel the Revan bits at the end is so convoluted no matter how many times I have replayed it, and there isn’t many varied options to do, but is always good to do at least the class mini mission. The class mini missions on that do make me emotional because we get to decide what our character is or wants to be, in a lot of them. Kotfe I enjoyed doing it also with the agent and other classes with a comp on the story, I really enjoyed how the Kaliyo plays out with him, specially if you romanced her but break up during the class story. My only other gripe is that I wish some classes like Inquisitor and smuggler didn’t got left out to get a comp in the chapters. It does feel a bit more lackluster running it with them unless you romanced Lana or Theron. As for what comes after Kotet, not a fan of Iokath though Im glad to see Acina and Malcolm, the gameplay in there is just ugh lol. Umbara is visually nice, and works good enough to make you wonder on Theron. Traitor Among the Chiss is just boring, is visually awesome till you end up fighting billion of waves. Raina joining you for every class also adds to the boringness, and the Theron plot hardly moves. Then comes Nathema which I think its probably one of my favorite story beats. I enjoyed very much how they let us see multiple recordings to clear things up on what’s going on. While the whole supermachine thing was meh, I enjoyed everything after and it seemed like the only way to remove anything from Iokath’s power to be gone for good. I think on the pub vs imp though is probably our key disagreement, while I know its the core of the game as an mmo, as a story at this point, I feel most of my characters would stay as their own alliance. Both factions have pretty much betrayed you left and right, so it just seems more natural your character rather have its own independence but be allies with a faction. I just don’t see our characters being a pawn again, serving someone.

Ok so its not me being crazy, good to know. I was like redoing Kotfe story mode and since last time it was pretty easy, I decided to run most of it with the comp off to try it out. Suddenly even the simplest of enemies were giving a lot of damage and it was so confusing. Pretty sure some enemies were doing even more damage than some in a veteran fp lol. With a comp is fine and they still die quick enough, is just that the damage they do seems to be stronger overall.

I think there's one thing people forget, this game is Star Wars Legends. It's not part of the Star Wars Canon, therefore the alliance can exist and can keep existing, and the whole story can take any direction. It no longer has to lead to the Star Wars quo we know from movies, etc. Now I'm not saying Imp vs Pub should be gone, because it is the core of the game as an MMO, but for story purposes a stay alliance, or join Pub or Imp faction decision would be just fine. The alliance can still exist even if its not as big as it was before. It can become a neutral shelter from people that want to stay away from the old war, among other things. Specially since a lot of our created characters and companions are practically not seen in good terms in their original faction, so the alliance in a way can stay as their main alignment.

I do agree that they should add story mode for all the flashpoints that don't but that's it. Most groups I get those non story flashpoints with just want to skip all the cutscenes, so ultimately I end up knowing nothing of what the heck did I just did. I don't know what happens on Athiss, or hammer station... I wouldn't mind seeing cutscenes over and over for everyone personally. I enjoy seeing my latest gear on cutscene as well see other's characters. I think its a great way to see other's characters in detail but alas. Also I always find it ironic that the person that keeps typing "USE SPACEBAR PLZ", is usually the last person picking a dialogue choice anyway. So while you type your rant your actually the one being slow on the group, just saying.

Although Arcann is not my favorite, I like him and I agree on what you like least about him. Favorites: Theron Shan - I like how much he has done for buikding up the alliance and to protect us and how he is bad at flirty romance lol. I dislike how weaker his content is in KOFTE, but this is later fixed. T7 - He is just the best buddy my jedi could ever hoped for, no dislike about him, just wish he had way more screen time, specially since he is the only jedi knight companion I like. Vette: I love the whole romance arc between her and the wrath, how you can be all evil but also be a sweetheart to her. I dislike that the collar glitches and still visually shows up every now and then.

This in a nutshell, the other day fleet was like 50-60s on Pub but Corusacant was at like 140 and up something. I was surprised by the big bump but then I realized the stronghold, and the planet itself has most of the stuff fleet has too. So most moved to Coruscant probably. I think there’s definitely a very considerable amount of players that just do a lot of stuff on their own, their own time and pace, and stay away from the groups, as they just want to do their story peacefully.

They mentioned that even companions that have already returned could come back into the story in some way and get same sex when they didn't get it on their return so will have to see. But no, in the livestream they never said Doc. They suggested Khem Val would be though. Those were their 3 options, which excluded Doc.

I like a lot the voice cast specially for the class protagonists. I think though my favorite at the moment is still the male jedi knight, I was quite surprised and delighted to hear Hayter in something else besides Snake and he captures my jedi perfectly. I do enjoy the cocky attitude of the male smuggler as well and the more ruthless male bounty hunter. As for regular characters, I like Senya, Valkorion, and Arcann with mask.

Thanks for letting us know on the sale. Ill have to see if I have fitting armor for it. I agree with some of your points, though personally I don't really spend on weapons, usually I can find what I like without having to go for cartel and I don't like heavy stylized lightsaber colors. I mostly go for the market for dyes but some like this one go for very high price there. Theres also people that I assume invest in cartel in these dyes to resell and get a lot of credits in total to buy everything else they want. But for blacks, I usually find the Black Grey dye work pretty well for the most part as the cheaper alternative.

The imp side for satele shan is isually very populated on fleet but even more on starting sith planets. Pub side though, I was surprised to see fleet at 100 at one point last night. Fleet is usually lower there. Theres still a good amount of people playing, but people need to be more teamplayer friendly as some people’s behavior really make you not try group activities.
