  1. Oh hi there! Watch your step. The footing in this place can be tricky, it seems.
  2. And there are threads for that. Try to keep on topic in this one.
  3. Bioshock! They've stated any species they add will speak Basic (so that the voice overs still work). Some of you will need to face the hard truth that Wookies, Jawas, Ewoks, Gammoreans, etc will not appear in the game. Also, no Yoda-like species will be added. Lucas doesn't want any more information about that species released or created. When they add species, expect it to be things like Togruta, Cathar, Mon Cal, etc. I could see doids, but they'd need to add some sort of filter to the voice work. I assume that's a possibility. I think they'd be neat.
  4. I made a thread about this in the suggestion forum some time ago. It's just a hassle to reinvite your group afterwards so I imagine it's not a huge priority for them to fix since it doesn't actually prevent you from doing anything.
  5. I'd like some class specific UI tools added. For example: I play a scrapper and it'd be cool if it were easier to see how many upper hands I've got going. You could have a pair of lights near the character portait or something like that. Just some sort of way to see it out of the corner of my eye rather than having to find it in the buffs/debuffs area and checking the number there. I know other classes have similar mechanics they may want to keep track of more easily. I think it was said previously, but some buff/debuff seperation and scaling would be cool. Particularly, I'd like some way to tell when my vital shot is going to tick off of the mob. If there are multiple smugglers in the group, this can get particularly tricky with the current UI. I like the idea of players being able to make a waypoint on their map that party members can see. This would be good to find a place to meet for a quest or for talking about a boss strat in an operation. You could even make it a sort of beacon in game so it's visible that way, too. Yeah!
  6. You guys mentioned you're adding player species this year. I think it'd be kind of cool if you associated quests or a flashpoint with each race you ad. As an example (selfish as it may be since this is the race I'm hoping for) I think it'd be neat to do a quest chain on Mon Calamari and once you complete it, you unlock the Mon Cal as a player race in your legacy. That's accessible for everyone and has a cool reward for doing it. Besides Mon Calamari, I like the Kashyyyk suggestion for a wooded planet. Rodia would be cool as a scum and villainy sort of place (though I wonder if that'd be too similar to Nar Shadda?) And I think the Kessel idea is great. How about a flashpoint in the Kessel Spice Mines?
  7. I will stay scrapper. Nerfed, yes. Exaggerated on these boards? Definitely.
  8. High five, OP. I like your style. Keep bisecting.
  9. Any of those options would be great (even if it must be pod racing), but I feel the space battle portion of the Star Wars experience really needs some beefing up. I like the idea of hopping into a fighter (not our larger cruisers) and zipping off into an ongoing and frantic space battle. I also want full control of where I go. I think a good example of controls and gameplay that would work in swtor would be Freelancer. It's aging now, but check that one out. Great fun.
  10. You should probably read the article fully. The warzone will have a "training simulation" mode such that when two Republic teams are matched there, it's roleplayed as a training exercise for the faction. Yes you can play against your own factions. I believe they said they were looking to do that with Voidstar as well. Yay more warzones!
  11. While I liked Risha's stronger single target dps, Akaavi is just a good of a choice due to her aoe. I guess that comes down to preference. I didn't really get to use poor Guss until I switched to scrapper. Now we're bros for life.
  12. I leveled from 10-50 as sawbones and honestly It wasn't a problem at all. You'll need to swap companions depending on the fight. I used bowdaar on some of the damage intensive fights, but Risha's dps was too good to pass up most of the time. Just pick a tank and a dps and keep them geared as you go. Good times.
  13. It's kind of that. I don't know what you're trying to say. I think you're suggesting the scoundrel is bad. I'm wondering why the other threads about that didn't work for you. "not like most ranged classes or male" What? "Really lake lake of postion that backshoot etc..." What?
  14. Guys. Help. I read this and now have a nosebleed.
  15. Question: If my main is a smuggler human currently, is there going to be any way for me to switch him to a Chiss once I unlock that option? It'd be worth it for me to level a chiss character so I can make my main look how I'd like him to. It would also be unfortunate if I'd have to re-level an entirely new smuggler to make him the race I'd prefer. That would also cause me to lose all of my current gear and work on the current main. Just some thoughts. *Bambi eyes* Please?
  16. I think we need to discuss what "positive feedback" actually means. As mentioned previously, with quick travel on 20 minute cooldown and a way to your ship on every planet, you've actually got less of a wait to get to the fleet than you did in WoW. edit: Bah! Kuhboose was faster. Kudos, sir.
  17. I'm switching my sawbones scoundrel to dps after talking with my two sage healer buddies in my guild. I've healed the normal mode of EV and Karagga's and it seems to go fine, but the three of us together couldn't come up with a great reason to take a scoundrel over a sage. I love the smuggler class though and the story was great! I'll dps and be content.
  18. It sucks, but it can happen. Sometimes you can give that loot to a companion so it's not totally wasted. Now that you have so many pieces, it could happen a lot more to you. For your sake, I hope you get lucky and get what you need. System needs changing I say!
  19. If you asked for help on the fleet in a similar fashion, I wouldn't expect you to get many volunteers. If this is what makes you quit, then man, I don't know what to say. Take a little time to gear T7, go back, and try again. Pay attention to your interrupts. That's the biggest part of the fight. Bring medpacks and stims. Very cheap. You should be able to do it. Then again if you've already cancelled, then dueces.
  20. Hahaha I like that you are the only person to get what the OP was actually referring to. Cheap Shot can only be used on stunned enemies and it's for PvE only. You'll notice it also doesn't work on gold mobs. The intention is for this to be a purely single player move. It's strong so it helps you get rid of pesky silver mobs quicker. I'm not sure about the rest of this conversation though. I'm Sawbones.
  21. This probably won't happen. The double bladed saber helps players identify what advanced class you are from a distance. That way you can react accordingly. This particularly applies to pvp.
  22. Well, originally, all of the speeders were going to be the more segway type upright style. With those designs, the cape can hang down or flow behind you just fine. Of course, once the masses found this out, they wanted actual swoop bikes and pretty vocally. BioWare listened and added in the swoops (which I much prefer), but at the expense of clipping with the clothes. Small price to pay in my mind. Maybe they'll fix it eventually.
  23. That's essentially the same as the Agent's UW Medicine equivalent, but would work for me.
  24. They can't do that, though. The move has to be visually different from other moves so other players can determine what is going on. I'll agree that the jumper cables emergency medpack animation isn't my favorite, though. I don't mind the others. The only other thing I'd change is when I use a heal that looks like UW medicine or diagnostic scan, I wish I wasn't somehow backwards firing my scanner. I like how Emergency Medpack jams the medpack into the character's leg.
