Not at all.

MMO's have done this since...forever. One class is made FOTM so people reroll. Then the class is "balanced" and another is made FOTM. Same people reroll to that new class. Then that class is "balanced"... hamsters on the wheel.

Well when you put it that way it sounds ridiculous!

I get that, what I meant was I only have flash grenade and the short range stun...I can't wait till I get more with levels.

I rolled a sniper because I wanted to try an empire storyline. As a fresh lvl 10 I got the second most damge in huttball, and killed the carrier several times. I thought "wow that was fun, but huttball is easy for snipers" Next was alderaan civil war and I topped the charts in damage. Mind you I often play healers in mmo's and so I understand about using cover and being hard to find. I have no defence mechanisms really at that level and yet I felt pretty powerful. Looking forward to the storyline and pvping to 50. Great class.

Shadowbane used to have a system where you'd be immune to whatever was used on you for a certain length of time. So if you're stunned for 3 seconds you're immune for 15, snared for 9 seconds immune for 30, slept for 5 seconds immune for 20, etc.

I'm a guy that likes survivability and guarding healers...

I haven't had time to read this whole thing and I've never played a mara but today was the ultimate frustration. One mara killed myself and a scoundrel. He disappeared, then hit his damage absorber(where you hit him and see 1's and 2's) and then seemed to hit some other defensive buff after that where he parried everything. I don't know the names of those win buttons but wow...we didn't damage him for 30 seconds or so, in the process of him killing us both.

I would rather smash my sack with a mallet than play that warzone

Fantastic. As a shadowbane veteran I heartily endorse this.

I've got characters on two different servers, one a low pop server and the other fatman for when my low pop server has no pvp. On both these servers republic gets curbstomped. I don't know why that is but it happens consistently. The gear gap only widens. Don't know if this adds anything but as a casual pvper it is depressing. I thought about joining the imps to find out what it's like to string together wins but that ain't my style. I've been playing MMOs since Shadowbane and I too wonder when PVP became "warzones". World war 2 online is the only game I know of right now that doesn't do this.

It all adds up.

Don't you get a 15 percent runbuff in the tactics tree?
