  1. I might buy that if they hadn't broken the exact same thing with the previous patch and had to make this patch explicitly to redeploy it, only to put it out broken again. They don't seem to be testing anything.
  2. Do the devs not test this crap before releasing it? Do they not look at practices in other games before they code it? EVE Online has for years used a delayed update for certain transactions to avoid crashing the game with wallet updates. Did you guys not think that it would make sense to delay updating information that is literally changing with every action that every player takes? This problem could be avoided with entry-level common sense.
  3. I've noticed that the link to patch notes on the loading screen occasionally links to the wrong version. Currently, it is showing 3.3.2 instead of 5.10.3a, which would be quite the rollback. Has Dan been pushing buttons on the servers again?
  4. What would be the point? Everyone would just search for guilds that have reached the maximum practical guild level and have a fully unlocked flagship. Such a system would just expedite players going to guilds where their efforts don't really matter much because all the maxed out benefits have already been earned by others. A guild finder would essentially put free riding on steroids.
  5. Yes, the bonus is already factored into the listed points.
  6. I like the PvP instances because they're quiet. It's a good place to go to finish PvE conquest tasks without having to fight a crowd. For example, if CZ-198 has more than about 10 players on the PvE instance, you're going to spend twice as long getting your 35 kills for the daily because so many people are farming for the rampage instead of using the instanced mission to complete it. You can get those same 35 kills on the PvP instance without much hassle. Yavin and Oricon are also terribly overcrowded and tedious when there are rampages available.
  7. I know that win trading in warzones is prohibited, but I was recently on a PvP instance to avoid the heavy traffic on the PvE side, and I came across an Imp camping out near the Republic area on CZ-198. He was farming what appeared to be a friend (or an alt on a 2nd account). Every 10 seconds or so, the same Pub toon ran right to him and got killed without fighting back. Eventually, the Imp left (I presume he hit the Slayer conquest goal). Does this violate any rules? It seems shady, but if it's not something that's prohibited (or if it's not being enforced), then it seems an easy way to get a few extra conquest points without seriously having to earn them.
  8. I've noticed that I frequently end up on teams in warzones that only want to farm kills instead of capturing / defending the nodes to win. I'd like to suggest that some method of automatically removing these people be implemented. One way would be to track players' range from nodes. Staying out of range for a specific period could cause the player to be booted, much like lingering in the protected zones instead of actively joining the match. This solution would be meaningless for Huttball (no fixed nodes) or Ancient Hypergate, but would greatly improve the quality of matches for Novare Coast, Alderaan, Yavin, and Voidstar. ANY method of weeding out people who screw their team to turn everything into "deathmatch" would be appreciated.
  9. Thanks! Learn something new every day.
  10. I collected them on various datacron hunts and did not get them all on the same character. Because they are bound to the mission inventory and can't be given to my other toons to make sets of three, they are basically useless.
  11. They made the piggy a direct buy item from the prize vendors? That's gotta hurt for people who spent days playing in past years just to get him from a kingpin jackpot.
  12. I've never purchased the dyes as standalone items. The only ones I've gotten were from opening packs / crates. I wonder how many people directly purchase dyes on the Cartel Market given the exorbitant cost and the one-time use.
  13. You can open the Activity Finder menu and choose the event from there, or you can go to Fleet and find the hovering terminals that will give you a news clip and a mission.
  14. My general thought is that doing conquest rampages as a standalone activity is a waste of time. You can easily complete the rampages in the course of doing other activities (dailies, heroics, flashpoints) that provide far more reward for the time invested than the rampage alone.
  15. Please add automatic thread-locking for threads that are inactive for a certain number of days to prevent this kind of forum necromancy. Also, I'd probably quit playing if I saw a bunch of cartoon chat bubbles popping up everywhere. The screen is already cluttered enough.
  16. I'm sure you'll be taken seriously after describing the problem you are experiencing in such clear detail.
  17. It's also worth noting that many of the cash rewards for missions are far too low. Getting killed in a flashpoint, for example, can cost so much in gear repairs that the mission rewards barely cover it, making it a waste of time to continue after dying once. This is particularly true if you die due to group imbalance or someone else's mistakes rather than your own because you're probably going to get killed more than once, which results in the activity being a bigger financial loss.
  18. All your other characters below rank 300 are getting 100% CXP bonus. This is just one of those behind-the-scenes things that is working as intended.
  19. 1) Roll a female character. 2) Go to Imp Fleet. 3) ??? 4) Profit.
  20. Some crystals, such as War Hero's crystals, have valor requirements. Hover your m ouse over the crystal and look for any red text that might indicate some missing requirement to use it.
  21. Try EVE Online. When you still don't understand most of the game after playing for 15 years, you'll appreciate how easy the devs have made SWTOR for the players.
