It's too early to see exactly where the GTN prices will end up. Currently the GTNplayers are constantly undercutting to drive the casual GTN posters off. That's leading to cheaper prices for some items (great for buyers!). Give it a month and let's see where it ends up. Normally once a GTNplayer drives off other posters they then jack up the prices. If they do then a long, slow, 1 credit cheaper, undercutting battle will start again. Just from a higher starting point.

For pve you want accuracy, alacricity and critical enhancements. Use the versatile (red) armorings and mods. I don't usually bother with optimizing stats now while levelling, I just use what the game gives me. If you're overlevelled for the class rewards (tied to planet level, not your level), then you can do some heroics or flashpoints they will drop gear for your current level. For level 80 pve dps want 110% accuracy, then alacricity to >7.15%, and then rest into critical.

7.4 - Mob HP and Original Black Dyes
LD_Little_Dragon replied to Jazulfi's topic in General Discussion
No, feels normal to me. Killed stuff fast on Ord Mantell even with a passive comp. Are you sure it's not lag or packet loss you're experiencing? I've found ever since the move to cloud servers that sometimes I'll get lag spikes causing my abilities to go on cooldown when I hit them, but they're not actually landing on the target (even heals which have a zero chance of missing), that can really mess with a rotation if it's a hard hitter or a dot that doesn't land when it should. -
The drop rate could be really low, or swtorista is mistaken. I don't recall ever getting legendary embers from the lockbox missions, what you do get is wealthy missions for all of the crew skills. The wealthy missions usually drop 1 or more embers. (they can drop zero, but that's rare). As for the legendary embers from gear, I've only seen them drop from the level 75 gear (300 to 306 iRating), never from the level 80 gear.

Dear Broadsword .. update to GTN has ruined my game.
LD_Little_Dragon replied to Savyl's topic in General Discussion
I have stopped listing on the GTN completely. So it's basically ruined my game of GTNwars. Save me a ton of time though. The game of SWTOR is still good though. Mostly good. New graphics make the game much more demanding so performance is a bit worse. Would be nice if someday they figured out how to do OPTIONAL graphics updates instead of just bumping every setting up a notch. -
Bug: Jedi Consular Can't Buy Consular Gear
LD_Little_Dragon replied to Eguzky's topic in Bug Reports
This is one of the things that veteran players will not have a problem with, but newer ones might. Pre 7.0 the Guardian combat style (what used to be called an advanced class) was limited to Jedi Knights (what used to be called a class). The adaptive armor vendor is using the old system, so Jedi Consular/Sith Inquisitor gear is for the Consular/Inquistor old advanced classes only: Sage/Shadows and Sorc/Assassins. As a Guardian you're looking for gear for Jedi Knights/Sith Warriors. It would be so much simpler if they just removed class restrictions from gear completely. Since they're tied to an old obsolete system. -
Break the class mirrors for tech classes
LD_Little_Dragon replied to DreadzKaiser's topic in Suggestion Box
They already have different combat animations. That's enough of a difference. I have multiple mirrors, and share gear between them. Changing them to no longer be true mirror classes would be a complete pita. It would mean we now need 2 sets of gear and rotations instead of one for each class and their old mirror class. -
Can't see seller's name (GTN)
LD_Little_Dragon replied to GuigeekRhadamant's topic in General Discussion
^ This. I saw the intended on the PTS, and cleared out my inventories on all servers before the new GTN came out. -
7.4 Kessan Landing Saboteur/loyalist bug
LD_Little_Dragon replied to BatTurtle's topic in Bug Reports
Same here. I ended up letting them go, but there was no saboteur specific option. ... there's a reason I run fewer and fewer alts through all the storyline now. What's the point when even the teeny tiny differences from choices we make are bugged af. -
Stat difference between 344 gear and 340 is pretty minor, yes 344 is better, but unless you're doing NiM raiding it won't make that much of a difference.

Bring back harvestable crafting decorations
LD_Little_Dragon replied to mirrordances's topic in Suggestion Box
I never got why they removed the rewards from conquest in the first place. Some of the plants and crystal decos look lovely. ... maybe that's why. Less bushes/plants and shiny crystals decos from the game means more cartel sales of decorations. Or they are hoping for more. Won't get them from me. -
Oof, so getting the mods unlocked on multiple alts was a mistake. I'll have to see if I have a level 80 who hasn't done the missions yet.

There are still 9 or 10 flashpoints with no story mode. I see no harm in letting players watch the cutscenes in those flashpoints. Yes, even for Hammer Station, it still gets new players running it sometimes. Yes, you can solo the vet mode versions if you know what you're doing but it's incredibly rude and arrogant to expect every player to be at, or capable of, being above average in skill level. Even average can be hard for some players to reach.

It's not a double standard. The time to acquire an in-game +41 stat crystal is neglible. The time to acquire an in-game datacron is significant. There's also the 'buy from the GTN' factor for +41 stat crystals. You cannot skip the time and effort to acquire datacrons by spending credits in-game. (Yes, I am counting 'get into an operations group and get summoned to a datacron as time and effort. First someone has to do the work to get to it, and second you have to be social enough to get into the group.) The same argument goes for anyone who thinks buying augments with credits is somehow 'pay to win'. It's not. Pay to Win is buying an in-game advantage direct from the market. There is a reason you don't buy endgame gear with max stats from the cartel market (they tried that once with mods in cartel gear years ago, it was bad decision and dropped asap.) aside: I'm sure part of the reason the stats on colour crystals has been capped at +41 for years is due to the dev's realizing that putting stats on a major cosmetic cartel item was a mistake but by then it was too late to remove them from the game completely. They settled on making the crystal stats more and more irrelavent with each gear tier.
-
That's a false equivalence. I'm not going to explain why, since if you don't understand the obvious then no amount of explaining will help you.
-
No. Datacrons are not a purely cosmetic/quality of life feature like most of the perks. They give you actual in-game stats and an in-game advantage. I vote to NO to any form of pay-to-win. Want the datacron stats? Do the work to get them.
-
RP instance would be nice. Better to make that a ban/block for any player who is punished for bothering RP'ers, not just reported. It would be far to easy to abuse the report feature to harass a player who hasn't done anything wrong.

Wait a bit then. I usually find the prefferred to sub shows up pretty fast, but then I purchase subs during normal working hours. That might be the difference. If you stll aren't marked as sub by tomorrow then it will be clear something wrong and you'll have to contact support.
-
When did you do the purchase? It does say it might take an hour or more to clear. Also: did you log out of the game and log back in?
